Anytime I have a panic attack or my anxiety gets out of control I listen to this song and the anxiety subsides. My father is here with me at all times! Praise his name!
I sang this song to my dad as he was dying of cancer. He asked me to pray to God with him asking for Jesus to take him and end his pain. That was the hardest moment of my entire life. I was so selfish and wanted so badly for him to stay as long and fight as hard as possible to not leave me. He was my very best friend and rock. When he passed away, I sang this song at his funeral and used all the strength I had to not break down. This was February 7, 2015 and not a day goes by that I don’t think of him. God this is hard but I stayed strong and finished this song for him. Every time I hear this song I break down and so I try not to listen to it anymore but it came on today and I had another good cry remembering what an absolute incredible dad he was with the kindest soul so it was a good cry today…
As I read what you wrote, it brought tears to my eyes. I miss my Dad so much. He died in 2011. I was at work and my mom called me to tell me he was fading. I was about 5-10 minutes away from the hospital and my mom called me and said he was gone. I didn’t get to say goodbye or tell him I loved him. This song brings back those memories.
God used this song to help pull me out of depression last year. God's healing comes from your music Kari!

deep calls to deep your heart is seeking after him. but he's closer than you can imagine he walks with you thru every day there is never a moment that he is not near there is never a moment that you are not on his mind. when you feel that way remember he is drawing you closer in the song of Solomon the bride is longing so for her beloved that she says I will find him who my soul loveth. isn't it amazeing how God draws you nearer by making you dissatisfied with where you are he wants us to grow he refines us he's making us more like him everyday. he wants to take us to higher places in him. and he wants to take us to deeper depths in him. the love of God embrace the love he has for you and allow that love to heal and transform you. sometimes break through is as simple as receiving and accepting and allowing God's love to work in you and flow thru you. he is the light of the world and we are too a city on a hill can't be hid. and God's light is pure love. so allow that love to change you completely daily.
The hole in heart is the place which can be satisfied and filled by God alone .you are longing for God's presence and God is also eagerly waiting for you
our pastor said something so beautiful last night he said "if your wondering if God loves you if he'll take you back if you can make it through this if your feeling guilt... all this really means.... is that... Gods done with you..." because if he was would have no questions for God God would not even cross your mind and you wouldn't want God for anything there would be no guilt nothing... but God places guilt and those kinds of questions in us to let us know he's still dealing with us

and I'd rather have God dealing with me trying to reach me then to not hear God at all to not feel any guilt for anything to be totally cut off from the feelings of God... God still loves you and there is still hope because He is dealing with your heart take courage in that... and remember if the devil is fighting so hard for you to not make it to quite or to give up then God must have some amazing plans for you!

I don't currently practice a religion but tonight, I had a bad night. A few years ago, this was my favourite song, the last time I had played it was went I was paining my bedroom. This song didn't resonate with me religiously this time, but more on a life journey level. I'll find what I'm looking for and what I need, a place to be myself, if I remember to breathe.

They sang this at church and it had a great impact, God, what would you do if you were me.... I looked around and observed slightly as the music affected my heart as it always does. There were lots of couples and families and from the back observing it was like you could sense the pain in certain relationships. Well, I think if God were me he would let him be, let him heal, move on, pray a lot, and help make the world a more beautiful place. This world is full of an unfathomable amount of pain.... Hope is like oxygen... Lets make sure others have enough to survive.

So, i'm listening to this right now, i'm feeling torn apart today. My mind occupies thoughts of anorexia of hating myself and feeling unworthy, feelings of guilt. And i wonder why God loves me? Why?
Imagine that u have an object that you're very attached to, an item of a relative that has passed away. You have only that object that reminds you about the good times you've had with that person. Now that's taken away from you by a thief. You'd be devestated.
