As one of the last guitarists to ever back this man in concert, I can say I truly miss him. His loves ranged from pretty women, the Good Book and his love for Jesus, Courvoisier and Ginger Ale, soul music, his incredible devotion to his fans, and his respect for my mom and dad. I will never forget him, nor our time together. Rest in Peace Champ.
CLASS, A HUMBLE GENTLEMEN! I was 14 yrs old 1978, met Mr. Frazier at a MDA fundraiser in Westchester County, NY. I'm a nobody he had nothing to gain speaking with me. He spoke with me for about 10 minutes. Then 4 or so other teenagers joined in. He signed every Autograph gave life advice. It made a difference all these years later I remember every word of advice he gave. God Bless RIP Joe Frazier
How could a man who sings so brilliantly be the same man who puts people to sleep with his heat seeking missle like left hook. RIP ‘SMOKIN’ JOE FRAZIER♥️
I can't help crying watching this, I'm just an emotional girl who got soul lol. So much amazingness in this performance. The honesty is so effortless. Talking about a man with dignity! RIP Smokin Joe Frazier!
@@clairemadeinheaven Frazier finally has a statue. It looks great too. It's huge in person. It's a shame he never got to see it but I know it meant a lot to the Frazier family
I am from Philadelphia and Joe Frazier was the best heavyweight his statue is is in Philadelphia. Joe Frazier is Philadelphia. he will be missed very classy guy with the good voice. I look up to him. I wish all men were like him. Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali brought out the best in each other. you cannot mention one without thinking of the other.
Well, in and around the time this show aired, many disagreed. Joe aspired to be a professional singer but few bought his records and attended his concerts. Joe was indeed a great fighter, but he was no Marvin Gaye.
If he got any training or their was synthesizers back then...we'd have heard him on a hit probably....but the songs he sung exposed him......rip smokin joe...still a great
Who the HELL is gonna tell Smokin’ Joe he can’t sing?! Not if u were tired of living back in the day. Ha. I’ll take Joe’s voice over Jerry’s any day. Good job Joe.
What 😳??!!! I'll be Darn! Joe Frazier actually could sing a tune and with FEELING. Yes he could have used Some fine tuning but the core substance is there and he emotes feelings pretty well. I ALWAYS Had the utmost respect for Mr. Frazier as a sincere family man, hardworking, down to earth human being with a heart of gold. And what a PROUD champion he was in that ring. Joe had a TRUE WARRIORS Mindset and it was his defeat to Foreman when he got up 6 times, that we saw that fighters heart. It's a disgusting shame and disgrace that for so many years the people of Philadelphia allowed a statue of a fictitious character to be its flagship bearer of a fighting champion, when they had a true giant of a warrior at heart right there in the flesh in Joe Frazier. Sure they corrected that indignity, that WRONG by finally doing the right thing and taking down that Balboa garbage and erecting a statue in honor of Mr. Frazier. But the fact that it took so long Is a thorough disgrace. It says something about the people in Philly in my eyes that they stayed quiet on this for so long. Mr. Frazier was a MAN In that ring and a bigger one outside of it. RIP Smoking Joe.
Yeah those fights from the 70s with all the greats that are now passed away I will always remember. I followed all the fights from the 70s which was the best era for me growing up. I remember in a local papers here in the sports sections when Ali fought his picture and story was practically on the whole front page of the sports section! I wish I saved a lot of those clippings but I didn't because I was 17 18 years old and didn't think you're saving them. But Ali and Frazier are my favorites all my life. God bless all of them.
Damn shame the citizens of Philadelphia would put a fictional Italian statue of Rocky before they would even think about putting up a real boxing Heavyweight Champion Joe Frazier's statue? That goes to show how the people in Philly really are💯FACTS
Easily had a career in singing especially these days with rap type singing and engineering but he didn't even need that his voice was really good very talented man
Великий боксер и просто отличный мужик. Вызывает только уважение! Настоящий чемпион ! Таких больше нет и не будет. Покойся с миром ВЕЛИКИЙ ДЫМЯЩИЙСЯ ДЖО...❤❤❤😢

Great historical moments, I was a teenager myself back then, I was amazed watching our Legend boxer Smoking Joe Fraser singing on TV. I did not have a clue if he was a singer. Another Legend Jerry Lewis himself did everything to help sick children, that's what life is all about.
With training he would have been a very good singer to. I remember the interwiew when he talked about Muhammed Ali after his death with tears in his eyes. Now he also is gone. A very fine man.
@@mamanvlogs6914 Yes.. you´re right. Joe talked about his parkinson and cried a little when he said he would have liked him to live like them he fought without that problem.

Thank you so much for sharing this. Passed away so suddenly. I really hope he knew how much his fans adored him.
You knew him indeed, I like this
That’s a nice message mate! Are you still playing guitar?
How fortunate you was and how gracious to the great man. Bless you, and may your life be longer than you could of imagined.
He had good looking women?
I love Joe Frazier. The world misses you more than ever champ!!!!
No more song, no more dance. Two champs have now left the stage.
Douglas Alan 😢😭
😢 They were heavyweight boxing in the 1970's

John Yerkov I’m still mad that they didn’t put up his statue until he was already gone
Joe was great, but calling him "the best" is a stretch. The two words "George Foreman" could easily discredit that statement.
@@lwmson I meant to say the best heavyweight coming out of Philadelphia there were other heavyweights from Philadelphia example Tim Witherspoon
@@johnyerkov1553 Gotcha!
