"Not a werewolf, just a gay bear" | "Tranq him like a Beverly Hills housewife" - I think you've found your comic stride in these last two summaries. Well done!

Nice flare with the recap! Also Im allways happy to see a new reference pointed out. Clearly I just dont know my fragrances. Also love the conversation between Oz and Larry. Amazing every step :D

"Is Jordie a werewolf... aha...." may be the most quietly comical moment in all of Buffy.

I think it's up there with the "Arm" comment from last week.

I always liked the Larry aspect to this episode. He kind of became likeable. Then they killed him in Graduation Day part 2. That ticked me off. He could have been recurring like Clem, Amy, or even Anne. Someone with a through line that didn't matter but made the Buffyverse fuller. Even Scott got a through line in Conversations with Dead People. Larry deserved better, dammit!

Yeah I would have liked to see Larry make a cameo later like Percy did with Willow.

Joss talked about either making Willow or Xander gay - do you think that Larry "seeing something in Xander" was the initial setup for Xander potentially being gay?

Yes and no. Joss has commented before how they like to leave chararcters open ended so they don't have to define them until it's necessary, in case they want to add something in in the future (the way they did with Jenny being Romani).

I recall one of the authors putting a Xander line in Willows mouth at one point because she had to few lines. It was mentioned on some dvd extra, but Joss find out and pointed it out. I interpreted that like a no go. When you put it like this I wonder if this is what went down here, but it got the pass.

I attribute all weird dialogue and character choices in this episode to the full moon :-D
