cook coverd for 2 1/2 to 3 hrs

We always had a very big spread of delicious food on Sundays growing up. We had leftovers, if there were any, through the week. Corn bread or homemade biscuits was served with the leftovers. I always loved beans and cornbread or cornbread and milk with onion on the side. Delicious!

When I make beans, I put the meat in the pot with the beans, and i, put the leftovers in the fridge ide, but the next time there would be a layer of grease on the top from the meat, now seeing how you do it, I think you solved my problem, by cooking the meat separate, I'm going to try this next time I cook beans, thanks, Love your fridge top bar🍷🍷🥂🍸🥂

🩷🩷🩷 Definitely going to try this recipe. A foam builds up in the beginning of cooking beans, I always skim it off. Is it correct to skim that foam off the top or let it cook down into the beans? 🩷
I don't get a foam. I Boil my hamhocks for about 3 hours and then put my beans in. But if you do get a foam yes skim it off. Thank you for watching love 💕
