The episodes since they went daily have been all over the place (continuity wise) They brought Darren back for a little bit after he wasn't mentioned for two years, now he's gone again and in an episode after that she was dating another guy. The series finale is tomorrow and I feel the arcs they have done have been stupid, pointless, and a waste of time. They don't even seem to be setting up a Brett return. I hope I'm wrong though and he is on the last episode.

So let me get this straight, Ernie and Marissa can kiss 3 times, yet KC and Brett can't get one single kiss. At this point Disney just wants to torture us.
This is the only solid love story I've seen in Disney so far. Real relationships have conflicts and arguments. It makes the couple stronger working through them and much more realistic and believable. Just the fact that K.C. and Brett went through so much, hating each other, liking each other, arguing with each other, breaking up, getting back together, arguing again, and still through all that, their bond is as strong as ever. Protecting each other comes natural to them. Even if in the far distance future they ever reunited and got married, it's not the Happily Ever After fairy tale story that's so popular for kids, but they will always have their conflicts that will be worked out which will strengthen their bond as they learn about each other. For example, Brett bragging about his "junior spy of the year" awards doesn't annoy K.C. anymore because she understands him, and K.C.'s irritability at times doesn't bother Brett either. I love this story and wish it could have continued.
I'm so serious, Bret was the best boyfriend KC had, and none of the other boys she crushed on lived up to or can live up to Bret. I really hope they got together in the future!
