- Sydney is at Capacity when it comes to taking a cruise ship. While not confirmed some cruise lines are taking their ships elsewhere, so the time has come to think about a third cruise terminal. Unfortunately, anywhere that is suitable within Sydney has been ruled out so our options might only be away from Sydney itself and to Newcastle to the north or Port Kembla to the South.
In this video I go over what I think needs to be taken into consideration when choosing either one and which one I think would be the better option if one of these ports were ultimately selected.
Enjoy

Newcastle
Brisbane.
Brisbane isn't Sydney though.
Newcastle NSW.
Why would you pick newcastle?
@@cruiseyseadays Newcastle is the largest coal port in the world. Newcastle is also the second largest city in NSW. Meaning for years to come there will be more and more growth, by adding a proper functioning cruise terminal in Newcastle now it will allow for the region to further develop. Newcastle is also the gateway to the amazing hunter valley region including wineries, specular beautiful beaches and many others just to name a few.
Your argument could also be used for Port kembla, which is located in Wollongong. It's the 3rd biggest city and would also have the growth for years as would Newcastle. It also allows for access to the southern highlands and the south Coast regions.
@@cruiseyseadays Newcastle airport is also in the process of being upgraded to accommodate international arrivals and departures
That would help Newcastle's cause
Pick me, I know the answer, Christchurch
