    I don't even have a "bad feeling" about my son's soccer coach and I STILL will NEVER allow him to be alone with my boy,no camping trips,no sleepovers - NONE OF THAT SHIT. I'll take my own boys camping, there's LITERALLY NO REASON for a kid to be spending the night with an adult. Parents need to ask themselves "why does this grown ass man wanna hang out with kids?" Just WHY??

      She had a bad feeling about this creep. Not to guilt or shame but we have to go with our instincts. These people are so slick at getting other peoples trust. These people put themselves in trusting positions of power and opportunity and I have a special needs brother who a principal of an elementary school took advantage of. I remember him telling me and I had to force my mother to believe him. I don’t know if she ever did anything. If it were me, I would have handled it myself. What message does this send to your child if you don’t go after these predators. My brother wound up in a mental hospital 2 years later for 3 years. He never spoke of it again. Evil. Just plain evil.

    I was molested by a family friend who was a chem teacher and football coach. No one ever knew because I had no one to tell who actually cared. I didn't like it but I was already messed up from family abuse and neglect so to me, it seemed like he (the abuser) was the only one who actually cared about me. It took me many years to realize this was abuse and to face how much it affected me in different ways.
    I hope that anyone reading this who is being abused or has been abused FIND SOMEONE TO TALK TO ABOUT IT. Don't bottle it up and try to forget about it. The body has a memory and the emotions will come up in other ways - ways that will affect the people around you as well as yourself.

  • @bethtube5997
    @bethtube5997 Před 5 lety +14

    Some clarification on forgiveness: Forgiveness is spiritual and emotional freedom and healing. Forgiveness isn't ignoring what happened, letting the perp go on unpunished. Thankfully this young man and his family understand that. Forgiveness is healing for the survivor, letting go of the power of what happened to you, while simultaneously seeking justice for the perpetrator through legal action. Forgiveness doesn't equal no consequences for a perp, but freedom for the victim to be a survivor.

    • @SpecialBlanket
      @SpecialBlanket Před 5 lety +3

      I don't understand why it's called "forgiveness" and not just "letting go". To me forgiving something means you no longer feel that that person is in moral debt to you. Why would this be a good thing?

      Yvonne Gonzalez I totally agree. Sadly so many push back those initial gut instincts & even worry more about being offensive. If my years on this earth at this point have taught me anything it's that you can never be too careful where your kids are concerned & to be totally honest... I'd err on the side of caution & just not let your kid be with hardly anyone who could take advantage of them. And I mean as harshly as that sounds even maybe with ppl you "dont" necessarily have reservations about. As stated here, manipulators will go all out to gain your trust.

    it’s so refreshing to see parents that handled this well. I just watched two videos from this series where parents basically left their kids to deal emotionally with the situation on their own and that is so horrible. Also this mom was proactive about saying tell me if anything is wrong. Parents need to tell their kids up front if anyone touches you, bullies you, blackmails you we will fight them tooth and nail for justice (I mean obviously you have to hear both sides of the story with bullying). Too many parents compound the abuse by not believing their child, telling them to get over it, or even enabling it.

    God Bless you for sharing this story with others , as most people don't think it happens to men , it only happens to women . I myself was date raped at the age of 15 . I asked him to stop but he just continued . We were in his family barn loft . When he was finished he said he had to go in his house for something. There was a open window in the barn that faced the back door to his house . As time went on , I sat up in the loft crying and wondering what just happened , and when was he coming back. It was winter and it had started snowing, and I knew I better get back to my bothers girlfriends house at the time, as she lived out of town and about two blocks from where my date lived . When I got there I went to the washroom and noticed that I was bleeding so I call his girl friend into the bathroom and told her I had to go to the hospital. I said to her what had happened and that I was bleeding. She then proceeded to tell me that from now on I would bleed every month and to make sure I didn't get pregnant I should take cod liver oil or jump around a lot . I had no cod liver oil but loved gym so ever time we did something that I had to jump down from , I made a point to jump extra hard . I think it was a little over a month when I went to the washroom and felt something different . I recall looking before I flushed and I saw what looked to me like a small fetus so I breathed a sense of relieve at the time that now one would know I had gotten pregnant . I'm now 63 and was never able to have children . To this day I wonder what would of happened if I had told my brother instead of his girlfriend , and maybe he might of made sure I went to the hospital , and things would of turned out different in my life . Wow can't believe I shared all that for the first time , yet maybe it might help someone else. God Bless you All .

    What a brave young man! He was so blessed to have such loving amazing parents! You can just see the love between his mother and father, a rarity these days
    Praying for complete healing of all the children abused, and there are far too many! And with the organizations that promote pedophilia, they should be arrested!!! The damage they do to these children is beyond evil!!! Please pray for my son too, he was a victim also, still traumatized and depressed after 11 years, I just pray the Lord gives him complete deliverance

    it is hard to comment - i don't know how to speak to this - i just love you all and want so much for you - i do believe that your strength and it's effect is much bigger than we can all know - - and the rippling out is more powerful than the bad - i will continue to try to never underestimate the power of truth - you all are just great - great people

    It's so sad because despite what his mother said about him being a con artist, I think she feels guilty bc she trusted him. I would. I'm not blaming the parents. The one to blame is the predator but please parents, follow your instincts and teach your children to do the same.

    I love children so much. These things have made it so hard for people that genuinely love children and just love the joy of their childhood. You feel like every move you make toward a child MUST be with a complete witness lest you he accused or misunderstood.

    My mother to this day still calls me a liar and I’m thinking this is very instrumental in me not healing so through the creator of the universe i before him ask forgiveness and ask to have forgiveness for my grandfather who molested me and my mother and all those around me that believed her when she said I was just a liar!destroyed so much of who I was supposed to be.so… forward in forgiveness in Christ Jesus .

    I have sympathy for the victim and his parents BUT the parents asked several times if the child was being abused all the while allowing the suspect access to their children. So they had suspicions.

    Research why someone is so interested in being with kids , why would they be in a place were there alone with children, obviously not everyone is a predator, yet why are they so keen to be alone .. yet I understand the parents when predators groom families

  • @vanja11novisad71
    @vanja11novisad71 Před 3 lety +2

    Why do you put so much stress on forgiving the molester? It's up to the boy who was his victim to forgive him if ever. It is healthy only if it goes naturally. Otherwise it puts additional stress on the boy and keeps him frustrated.
