I searched a lot to find a video that shows how audio might work in the 4th dimension in 3D perspective (like for example the in the miner 4D game.) But these people made it impossible to find if there is.
1d: spacial 2d: spacial 3d: spacial 4d: for some reason time? first of all dimensions are how many different variables you can use to represent a position, not different sizes of an object along each axis. what we can take from this statement is that 0d DOES NOT represent a point in space. it literally has no position. no space, if it exists as a point in 3d, it isn't 0d. on 2d, you explained it as though it were just 1d but perpendicular? on 3d, you explained it more as perspective more as just 3d but i *guess* it works? 4d. this is where most people get it wrong. "the fourth dimension is time" did in fact come from Einstein's theory of relativity, but only because he used a fourth dimension as the curvature of spacetime. you know those 3d renderings with the 2d plane that has the gravity wells around stars? well that's representing the curvature of spacetime in 3d instead of 4d. its like seeing one of those diagrams and concluding that the 3rd dimension is time. 4d just means that there is a fourth number that can be used to represent positions. XYZW. you can move left, right, up, down, forward, back, ana, and kata. its literally just another spacial dimension you don't have to start making stuff up. while a lot of these things like time and parallel universes are, and could be real, it does not mean it is a dimension just as a cat or a tree is not a dimension.
I was about to say that listing time as a fourth dimension is gonna be very confusing for people Cause the actual 4th dimension is W And there are infinite number of more dimensions Time can be called a dimension 0 if anything
But isn't a dimension just a way of perceiving reality? Say, a two-dimensional being cannot perceive the word "around" because it doesn't exist, it can't even think about it.

A minecraft world is a 4D + 1d universe: We have 4 units for spatial location: X, Y, Z and dimension and Time in ticks, that is shared across all dimension spaces
Your “4th dimension” isn’t actually a logical version of the fourth dimension. It would just add another line that goes in a way that we can’t comprehend. Not time.
Time does actually function as a fourth dimension... Neil deGrasse Tyson even explained it, and really well. Just accept it. The other dimensions are somewhat questionable though, but not fully. Trying to understand them is like a theoretical 1 dimensional creature trying to understand our world.
0 - checkpoint 1 - press W, a straight line 2 - minimap 3 - the actual map you play on 4 - playthrough 5 - different endings 6 - watching the endings before actually playing 7 - different games 8 - crossovers between games 9 - dnd, do whatever you want 10 - you looking at the screen, you see everything there is in the internet 11 - the whole digital space with every user I had fun
summary dimensions 0th dimension (positions) - theoretical points in space that exist only for positions and don't actually represent any unit of measurement besides to help pinpoint other higher dimensions. 1st dimension (length) - imagine a tightrope, and you can walk back and forth on it. that's it. 2nd dimension (width) - the tightrope expands into a sidewalk and you can move sideways on it. 3rd dimension (depth) - imagine the sidewalk you can see how far and wide a 2d frame is away from you. that's the 3rd dimension. hence depth perception. 4th dimension (time) - Think of a lazy river that continuously pushes you forward further through the 4th dimension. You cant go backwards but you can slow down or maybe even stop. It pushes you into a different state of the 3rd dimension. Imagine one state as like a frame in a video, and time is the play button. You can press the speed button to slow it down but you cant directly stop it. 5th dimension (probabilities) - Think of you, in that lazy river. But you can see across you another lazy river with you in there too doing something else. 6th dimension (probabilities and time) - Think of that same lazy river parallel analogy, but you can now see the full extent of the lazy river, with an infinite set of yous doing things. 7th dimension (alternative realities) - Now look on a high up tower, you see one water park with those infinite lazy rivers, go to another water park with a different lazy river, maybe the water is red, maybe the tiles are green, who knows. The key note is that they started off different with different sets of rules, different pool architecture. different ultimate outcomes. 8th dimension (alternative realities and time) - Now think of those separate water parks and add walkways attaching each pool. Its so chaotic i cant simplify it. 9th dimension (Pataphysicality) - Go even higher, leave that city containing those water parks. Think you're in the 9th dimension. Nah. You're still in the 8th dimension, just a set higher. The 9th dimension refers to the realm above the 8th dimension that we physically cannot explain. 10th dimension (Essence) - You're looking at the very fabric of reality. The very concept of going up a higher dimension. 11th dimension (Functional omnipresence) - It assists to explain string theory and how the universe is held together with branes, supergravity and such. The 11th dimension is kind of going backwards, reverting to the 2nd smallest only being bested by the 0th dimension, which represents positions. Smaller than protons, electrons, quarks and down to the string theory.
The forth dimension is not accurate because time is considered to be PART of our perception NOT a dimension itself, and yes, some could argue that Time is a dimension because we move through it, but remember we are talking about physical dimensions and here is where the XYZ coordinates exist and in the case of a higher dimension existing there should be added a new line perpendicular to the others, thus creating a new physical place in the position of the object. This can be imagined and be understandable for us by the Teseract (Hypercube) ilustrations where cube seem to be inside one another but in reality it's just moving through our space.
that's how I like to explain it to people, we are only seeing a part of the full 4d shape. And we need "time" To individually see each part of the full shape. But ofc we can't process whatever we're seeing.
Time is also called the temporal dimension. Certain models of physics beyond the standard model, including string theory, have two temporal dimensions.
parallel universes are kind of similar to the multiverse theory. for example: if you were to throw a lego brick across your room, a universe would open up where you didnt throw the lego brick. this can also lead to paradoxes, too. if the multiverse theory is true, then there exists a universe where it doesnt.
@@Felhek Time basicly how each different position in 3rd dimension based on higher dimension. If have 4th dimension eyes, we could see past, now, and future as block solid of something. It's weird to think though.
@kingki1953 not so hard to think about, actually I've seen some circles with static figures in different positions, and when rotate it, it seems a fluid animation. That's how you would see us from a higher dimension, like static silhouettes.
@@FeixMLBIf you define dimension as strictly "spatial" then the time axis wouldn't make sense. For example, traditional 4d objects wouldn't cast a 3d shadow with time as the 4th axis. But I guess it's theoretical and can't be proven right or wrong.
Ya but to ask what a dimension is, Is to ask why points exist and why they form orthogonal macroscopic dimensions, which is to ask how information can objectively itself exist which presents itself as the age old paradox of how can information exist ? Macroscopic dimensions and extra dimensional manifolds exist, because they are defined by the external observer and or tellors that define objective spacetime
0 is an imaginary point, existing outside of the realm of existing but still accessible by being noticed 1 - 3 is like looking at a picture, you can see the things within it but they are set 4 is like watching a video, it can be moved back and forth but is still held inside 5 is like looking at two photos that came from the same place at the same time, but they each have a different appearance, every photo after the first looks slightly different from the one it came from 6 is like watching every possible photo like they are videos, seperated only by sequence of events and they all do lead back to one point 7 is like looking at multiple different points, they are all separate from eachother in every way because they could not possibly be the same 8 is looking at every video that comes from every photo 9 is like there is not photo. There is a presence, but that presence isn't accessible by any rules you'd know, the rules are written in a separate rulebook 10 is beyond the rules, you can see the rules, but they don't hold you anymore 11 is a place where everything is held together, everything physically exists and everything mentally exists, maybe even the non-existent point set at 0
Also, these forms are crucial in calculus and science: Dimensionless points are basically anything that doesn't carry a unit of any type. For example, a point is just 1, as every single unit raised to the 0th power is 1. A 0-form is just the original function itself. When you reach the first dimension, you get a 1-form. A 1-form is known as dx, or dr, if the 1-form is present in multiple dimensions. dr is a vector, with magnitude ds, that is equal to . 1-forms are useful in determining the length of a line, as the length is defined as ∫dx. Given a density function ρ(x), the mass of a line is equal to ∫ρ(x)dx, and the center of mass is equal to the ratio of the first moment of inertia to its mass, so the center of mass of a line is equal to ∫xρ(x)dx / ∫ρ(x)dx. The second moment of inertia is equal to ∫x^2ρ(x)dx. When you get to higher dimensions, the arclength is calculated using ds. The tangent line to a curve is given by the derivative to form the slope, and then an arbitrary point on the line is calculated as the point to form a point-slope form equation of the tangent line. The Chain Rule can be used to change variables, and the Second Derivative Test can be used to test whether or not an extreme point is a minimum or a maximum. If the second derivative is positive, it is a min, if it is negative, it is a max, and if it is 0, the test is inconclusive (can be either a min, max, or saddle point). Limits in 1-forms only depend on from the left or from the right. Once you make it to the second dimension, you reach 2-forms. 2-forms can be written as dA (scalar form), or dS (vector form). dS = The area under the curve, despite being evaluated using a single integral, is instead implicitly a double integral ∬dxdy, the mass ∬ρ(x, y)dxdy, the first moments of inertia about the axes Mx = ∬yρ(x, y)dxdy, and My = ∬xρ(x, y)dxdy. The second moments of inertia are the same as the first moment of inertia, but with y^2 and x^2, respective to the x- and y-axes. Since 2-forms carry 1 degree of freedom, most indeterminate forms have nonexisting limits, as infinite possibilities await when you have an extra degree of freedom. The surface area is calculated using dS, and the concept of a "gradient" comes to life in 2-forms. The Second Derivative Test uses the Hessian Matrix, and it is basically the same as 1-forms (positive determinant = min/max depending on sign of second derivative respect to x, 0 determinant inconclusive), but if the determinant is negative, you get a saddle point. The Jacobian Matrix can also be used to change variables, and a common one is polar coordinates: dA = dxdy = r*drdθ. The tangent plane can be found using the gradient, and a differential of an R^2 -> R function is defined as the gradient dotted with dr. Now, it's time for vector fields. Slope fields are common in 1-forms to find an R -> R function, but 2D vector fields can be used to find an R^2 -> R function. Now, comes contour integrals. Contour integrals ∮ are defined to be an integral through a vector field about a given path, whether or not if it is a line or a surface, such as ∮ F ∙ dr, or ∯ F ∙ dS. Using Green's Theorem, ∮ F ∙ dr = ∬(Nx - My)dA. The 3rd dimension introduces several new concepts. First, the infinite plane concept. When you rotate a square piece of paper, no matter the order of rotation, you get the same result. However, when you rotate your Rubik's Cube, order matters. This is because of the second degree of freedom attained via the 3rd dimension. Second, comes cross products. The cross product of 2 3D vectors is analogous to the cross function of a 2D vector, as it computes a vector that is orthogonal to said vector. Also, in 3D, not all orthogonal lines are perpendicular; some of them are skew. The cross product is useful in finding torque, as well as several other units in electricity in magnetism. The volume 3-form dV can be calculated as dxdydz in Minecraft, r*drdθdz in the flat Earth, and ρ^2*sin(φ)dρdφdθ in the real world. Now, comes the concept of divergence and curl. Divergence is how a vector field is source or sink: how the vectors in a vector field are coming out or going back in, and curl is how the vectors are "spinning". This derives the Divergence and Stoke's Theorems, where ∯ F ∙ dS = ∭(div F)dV, and ∮ F ∙ dr = ∯ (curl F) ∙ dS. The Jacobian and Hessian matrices are the same, but with 3x3 instead of 2x2, and the moments of inertia are calculated respect to a plane rather than an axis. Tangent cells can be calculated similar to tangent planes and lines. Rotational motion is created by torque, which changes angular momentum, the product of rotational inertia with angular velocity in radians per second. The 4th dimension introduces more coordinate systems, such as "double-polar coordinates", created by the torus, or the "diradial circle", which a cross-section produces a doughnut in 3D. Also, ∰ F ∙ dS = ⨌(div F)dV. The 4th dimension is known as a "dev dimension": a dimension only the developers can access. We 3D beings are the developers of Flatland, as we have access to the third dev dimension that Flatlanders talk about. Also, comes planar rotation. Linear motion comes from the first moment of inertia, as moments (mass times an order of distance) derived by time gives momentum, which is why F = ma. The second moment of inertia is not mass times area, but mass times the second order of distance. Think area as a dot product, but the second order of distance as a cross product. Hence, there is a third moment of inertia, for planar rotational motion. Planar rotation motion is defined as rotating something about a plane rather than an axis, and the unit for solid angles is the steradian, and solid angular velocity is defined as steradians per second. When you multiply the planar rotational inertia with solid angular velocity, you get solid angular momentum. Solid angular momentum is changed by 3-torque, something that goes in the 4th dimension, and how we comprehend planar rotational motion is the same as how the Flatlanders comprehend axial rotational motion. As you reach higher dimensions, the matrices increase by 1 row and 1 column, and the degrees of freedom increase by 1. A 4D-space is known as a great cell, as a great cell is defined as a world with a given timeline using the 4th time dimension. A 5D-space is known as a realm, or a collection of great cells that share common laws of physics. A 6D-space is known as a great realm, or collection of realms with different times. A 7-space is known as a flune, or a collection of great realms, each with its own laws of physics. An 8-space is just the great flune, which is defined similarly as a great cell or realm. Now, comes the concept of the Metaverse. The Metaverse is divided into 4 quadrants: Real, imaginary, virtual, and fake. We live in the real quadrant of the Metaverse, but we can access the imaginary and virtual quadrants. However, we cannot access the fake quadrant, as it is opposite (not adjacent) to our quadrant. In 9-space, you can move across quadrants, accessing the virtual and imaginary worlds, such as going inside Minecraft and building colonies there, collecting coins from Super Mario Bros. and becoming a multimillionaire, or attempting to prove that life is a simulation by changing your form from "video game character" to "gamer"! Humans, when reached this stage, will officially be on Level 6 in the Kardashev Scale, but portals to the virtual world will be opened earlier. One portal is being constructed to Minecraft in Quebec. A 10-space represents the entire Omniverse, with different Metaverses, and eventually, an 11-space is the absolute maximum you will get: At such a space, you will officially become the admin of all of reality. You can basically create anything, and nothing will destroy you. This is humanity's ultimate goal: To reach this level on the Kardashev Scale before the universe cools down. However, humans are still technically animals, and they still haven't broken away from nature yet, so they should unite into one big democratic republican country with 1 language, 1 culture, and 1 tradition to end disputes that lead to wars, so they can break away, spread their wings, learn how to fly, and achieve the ultimate goal. Remember, nothing is impossible, you just need to believe.
Man, I was kinda hoping for the actual spatial dimensions and maybe a mention of time acting as a dimension; alternate and parallel universes have almost nothing to do with dimensions.

@user-ys9dl3rd9o well the correct answer is, a 2D creature won't be able to developed a optical sensitive organ in the first place, but, for the sake of argument, if we have to, they will see lines, 1D lines
Yeah right? like parallel universes, time, and all the other ones that are basically just the same thing but combined are all things. they may not be real, they may be, but they are all things. a cat, a tree, the earth or even the entirety of the universe are all things. but they are not dimensions in it of themselves. like if you expand a point to a string, then expand the string to a paper, then expand the paper to a box, then you don't expand it through time. you just expand it through a fourth dimension. what even is the metric for time? if you have a box that is 1x1x1 and you expand it through time, how the hell do you make its time the same length as one of its sides?
@@skullcat324 I mean Time is just something else. We don't know why it's a temporal dimension added to the spacial ones. It could be that it actually is a spatial dimension but we perceive it as change. What I meant is that Spacial dimensions are different than these things. For example a tesseract (4D cube) has a lot more sides than 6. There are hyperdirections and things can rotate in ways that we cannot imagine, and we perceive it as the shape itself shifting in bizarre ways. Rotating it on a hyperaxis changes the shape in the 3D projection. In the real world too There may not be 4 Dimensional objects, but there are definitely things that behave as if they were rotating in 4 dimensions. For example quaternions often describe quantum mechanical phenomena. Electron spin too is just absurd to imagine. But definitely one real mathematical tool The things shown in the video are just theories and speculations that kinda have nothing to do with mathematical dimensions.
@@novakastmusic agreed. except for the part "in ways we cannot imagine" because just because your brain is 3d doesn't mean that you can only think in 3d. i mean its gonna be hard to think in 4d or higher but with enough exposure to it, and enough thought with it, it's definitely possible. because all our brains are, all the thinking in them, is information.
@@skullcat324 No matter how much I'm exposed to 4D objects We can only see projections and shadows of them Imagine a 2D being exposed to 3D objects As a ball would pass through his 2D plane all they'd see is a circle appearing out of nowhere, getting bigger and bigger and then smaller again and then it disappears. A 4D sphere would appear to us the same way A sphere appearing out of nowhere, getting bigger then smaller and disappearing back into its 4D space. It just passed through our plane. Mathematically yes we can describe these objects, even with more dimensions but visualizing them and conceptuallizing them. Very very difficult.
What happens if time stretches due to different speeds of objects? Would that just not matter since the amount of time passing is determined by the entirety of the universe since no Energy can be lost? Or would that just be the difference needed to “split the reality’s “
Does freewill actually exist? Does everything that bound to happen will happen? Can future of everything can actually be calculated? Only thing standing on freewill is right right now is probably quantum physics which we have litter knowledge about
Easier explanition : A4 Paper is the area, then fold it, it's the 2d then fold it more times to create more dimensions. Time is always occurring, in any dimension. Not to be negative here but there are some flaws here, some are not official results or answers You may ask Google, physicists or physicians to prove this The video is discussing more about string theory and parrarel spaces . Parrarel spaces only come in 3d etc. (you were right with that one). Hope this helps ❤️
tbh i thought you were gonna explore the ideas of the mathematical dimensions (the purely spacial ones) not the predicted physical ones. i was pleasantly suprised at least.
2:13 wait a line that goes from side to side is still one dimensional but rotated 90°. Surfaces are 2D. 4:57 with parallel universes all things are real. 5:15 there isn’t really anything that sets choices apart from other interactions. Free will and stuff -> illusion 6:57 I misinterpreted the word before 9:53 wait so it supports free will?
4D is not time! Time is used to kinda visualize how it would be in the higher dimension. For example, let's say that there is a 2D creature, and we would like to show it a 3D object, let's say a cube. We could "push" it thru the plane that the 2D creature lives in. Depending on the angle that we put the cube thru the plane, the creature could see it as sudden appearence of a square which will be there for a while and then disappear. From another angle (starting now from a corner instead of a side) the creature could see it starting as a point, then the square would be bigger and bigger, until it reaches half of the cube, and then the cube would be smaller and smaller until it disappears. That is how a 2D creatures could imagine a 3rd dimension. As we said time is not a 4th dimension, but rather a visual representation of an 4D that we, 3D creatures, could understand. Hope that wasn't as confusing, and you now know what time really is.
I have something bugging me about parallel universes. If there's an infinite amount of universes, then there's a possibility that a person could have invented a machine that could teleport the person in an another universe now and smack me in the face before disappearing, there's an infinite amount of universes so it should be possible due to the infinite possibilities right? No? Then i can truly say it doesn't exist.
I agree with 3D but 4D part is inaccurate, while it is true that 4D represents space-time but in term of spatial dimension, 4D is simply another axis added to space. For instance, R is a set of real number which is 1D. R² is 2D. R³ is 3D and R⁴ is 4D and it does not represent time itself. R⁴ represents 4 axes (width, length, depth and unknown). I also do not agree with universe and stuff being "dimensions". A universe consists of dimensions, not the other way around.
I think the dimensionless or dimension 0 is a period or a point, "•". Why? Because the 1st dimension is length, and the length needs another point to make a 1st dimension.
anything beyond our 3d world just doesn't make sense or impossibly to even observe or confirm their existence imo cause our senses are limited to our own 3d world
Yeah? The video didn't confirm/observe them, they're just theoretical. Also, our 3D world is technically 4D because of time (3 Spatial dimensions and 1 Time dimension) but I guess your kinda right, we usually don't think of time as a dimension.
@@skullcat324 Yeah, that could work. 1 temporal dimension could go forwards and backwards, whilst the other could go side ways to make different "nows" at the same time. And time dilation exists even by a few seconds. So it's already kinda in our world, not that useful though.

first of all dimensions are how many different variables you can use to represent a position, not different sizes of an object along each axis.
what we can take from this statement is that 0d DOES NOT represent a point in space. it literally has no position. no space, if it exists as a point in 3d, it isn't 0d.
on 2d, you explained it as though it were just 1d but perpendicular?
on 3d, you explained it more as perspective more as just 3d but i *guess* it works?
4d. this is where most people get it wrong.

Your “4th dimension” isn’t actually a logical version of the fourth dimension. It would just add another line that goes in a way that we can’t comprehend. Not time.
The fourth dimension IS often called time. I'm pretty sure this is from physics.
Time does actually function as a fourth dimension... Neil deGrasse Tyson even explained it, and really well. Just accept it. The other dimensions are somewhat questionable though, but not fully. Trying to understand them is like a theoretical 1 dimensional creature trying to understand our world.

summary
dimensions
0th dimension (positions) - theoretical points in space that exist only for positions and don't actually represent any unit of measurement besides to help pinpoint other higher dimensions.

@@notealistquixx1 oh ok
You have a lot of time in your hands, though it is correct!
That's only one interpretation/ perspective.
Also TECHNICALLY dimension only means linear independent direction.

I love the 8th and 9th dimension.
Sounds cool asf
Also, these forms are crucial in calculus and science:
Dimensionless points are basically anything that doesn't carry a unit of any type.

Rotating it on a hyperaxis changes the shape in the 3D projection.

4D is not time!
Time is used to kinda visualize how it would be in the higher dimension.
For example, let's say that there is a 2D creature, and we would like to show it a 3D object, let's say a cube.
We could "push" it thru the plane that the 2D creature lives in. Depending on the angle that we put the cube thru the plane,
the creature could see it as sudden appearence of a square which will be there for a while and then disappear.
From another angle (starting now from a corner instead of a side) the creature could see it starting as a point,
then the square would be bigger and bigger, until it reaches half of the cube, and then the cube would be smaller
and smaller until it disappears.

So we're in a certain type of locked state of the fourth dimension?

If anything can achieve lightspeed, time would stop, so logically if it achieved more than lightspeed it would reverse in time, and light speed causes immense mass increase, so when the air becomes a black hole, it could get away with faster than lightspeed, so that would make him a universal threat, heck existential threat, and my mind says that if it reaches ftl it'll make negative mass
