I must say I went from Canada goose to nobis and own the Johan Mens long parka. Way warmer better looking not as common as the same old artic disc. A really insane understated jacket, never looked back and will never ever buy a goose coat again. Great review

Canada Goose is notorious for down under fill these days. The big problem with Nobis is that the outer shell is a 3 layer laminate (like Gore-Tex) which severely impairs breathability of the fabric. If it's raining, it is too warm to be wearing this Nobis parka anyway! There is a reason why the athletic/mountaineering manufacturers as well as sleeping bag manufacturers moved way from Gore-Tex shell and down fill combinations. This is the same issue I have with Outdoor Survival Canada. It is less of an issue when you are wearing a jacket for only an hour or two at a time with plenty of time for the jacket to hang indoors and air out. It’s a much bigger issue on multi-day and multi-week expeditions in subzero weather where ice/condensation accumulates inside the garment or if you are wearing the parka for outdoor work 8 or 10 hours a day. I strongly prefer Arctic Bay (also made in Canada) as an alternative to Canada Goose and can be purchased at incredible discounts if you’re lucky. The reason why Nobis needs underarm venting is because the 3layer laminate is so HORRIBLE at breathing. People claim that the jacket is warm, but part of what they are experiencing is the lack of breathability which does have the effect of trapping heat and moisture. This defeats the auto-regulating feature of down which should be comfortable in a wide range of temperatures. When it can't breathe, it gets stuffy and uncomfortable.
CG has blown up since i got my chateau parka in 2012. they use to have a few parks and the odd accesories. now their line up is insane. boots, sweaters, jackets for all seasons. im not surprised since they are now US owned

i did say nobis was better value and had more features and slightly better outer material. but it is int he end your choice because they are both completely different styles and will depend on which style you prefer.
@@vintagepimpage6049 their is no winner. both are reputable brands and quality. it comes down to how muhc u wanna spend, if u wanna stand out with a CG and have it made in canada or have something a little less notiacble (and the odd sale) with a nobis. the title is not click bait, im showing the difference of the coats which is the purpose of the video. If i said which one is better from my opinion, then that would be bias.
