Lefkada (Λευκάδα), also called Lefkas, will amaze you with its beautiful nature. The azure sea rises steep limestone cliffs, which are due to favorable climate overgrown with lush vegetation. The limestone slopes are interrupted by unique sandy and pebble beaches, which are washed by the sparkling waves of the crystal blue sea. The beaches of Kathisma, Avali, Pefkoulia, Milos, Egremni and Agiofilli are definitely worth seeing as they are one of the most beautiful in Greece and Porto Katsiki beach is declared the eighth most beautiful beach in the world. A fantastic video. I have been visiting Lefkada for the last 15 years and this is the best video of this stunning island. For those who don't know Lefkada, visit Vassliki beach later in the day and you will see how this bay turns into one of the best spots for windsurfing you can find in Europe.

I love your videos Robert, your attention to details, your editing skills are very good and Greece is an iconic country with marvelous scenery. The music also blends in well. I've only been in Corfu so far, I would like to visit Zakynthos and Skiathos +Skopelos next in the near future. After that, who knows? Kefalonia, Milos, Lefkada, it's hard to pick, they are all beautiful.

@@robertpolasek Yea, it's a tough one, to choose. Speaking of the mainland, I was impressed by the Meteora area. Definitely on my bucket list in the future. Also heard that Greece has an impressive canyon, big fan of mountains here. Of course Mount Olympus is a must! So many places, man.

I remember in 2005 Porto Katsiki had a small car park, and a practically deserted beach. Amoussa Bay in 2014? By 16:30 hrs we were the only people on the beach, apart from the Spaniel puppy owned by the people that ran the bar. I have a pic somewhere of that

Yes, there are always fewer people in the off-peak season. But Lefkada is also crowded because of the bridge connection to the mainland.
