Sweden is often hated by many eurovision fans for some reason, but they are just the MASTERS of pop music so they rightfully earn their high places. There's a reason why they are one of the strongest eurovision countries, together with Italy
I think some of that hate stems from how cocky Swedes sometimes can be, due to their track record and with how other countries ask Swedish song writers for help.
I think the anti-swedish movement among ESC fans has several different reasons: - The fact that we so often perform well and are in the running to win it make them kinda sick and tired of Sweden. - The fact that Sweden the last 20 years contributed to making changes in rules and voting. - Also the type of music we send, we almost never try something weird or send a joke song. It's heavily produced pop, with a good stage number - every time. We never send a song in swedish. (unless forced by rules). We always try to win the contest, nothing else.

Wow what a ride!
They're the best 🇪🇸♥️🇸🇪
2017 was one of my favorites☺️
Love your channel
Charlotte Perrelli was robbed 2008. Hero is a very good song.
Pure joy, Im Swede and remember ABBAs win, Thank You :)
The fact that ABBA is the most replayed segment of this video despite being in the older years shows just how beloved they are, even today.
Tack :)
In Sweden, everybody loves Eurovision, and in Europe, everybody loves Sweden
That's correct
thats realy nice of you
Do not put labels on us all.
No I don't love it. I always used to hoped we would catch Ireland in victories, but nowadays I do not care. The contest is way too political which it isn't supposed to be. It also turns out to be a freakshow from time to time. (If someone questions this, it means you can't see or understand it and then answers from me are useless anyway)
Really

My friend, I totally catch your point!
During the last years I was a big fan of the Eurovision Song Contest!
I just liked all the spectacle it was created at the shows amd its creativity and imagination that has been offered in terms of artwork, production and music.
However, in the recent years all thia imagination and creativity has sadly been reduced only to just produce the contest with some generic ideas that are very far from novel amd stunning in terms of everything that regards the contest!
Wish you the best!
As much as I like Benjamin and Robin, and very recently, Cornelia...
How Sanna Neilsen didn't win still surprises me. I don't mind Conchita Wurst, but for me, 'Undo' staging and song is simply stunning... the lights forming a pyramid... wow
Thankfully, Mans wins it the following year, but Sanna will also have a place in my Heart for a brilliant performance.
But that's me ;-)
Same
Also, forgot to add Eric Saade, in 2011, 'Popular'. What a song... so catchy...
Sweden alongside with Ukraine are the biggest powerhouses of Eurovision that is outside the Big 5 in my opinion❤️❤️
Haha...Ukraine got political, not on quality. So it is stupid to compare them with the Swedish representative who was fantastic !!!
@@ConegamesNDJ he's talking in general, not necessarily this year.
Ukraine has never lost a semi-final, won Eurovision 3 times, has various other podiums, and songs that are generally loved by the public.
Sweden has a longer and bigger history in Eurovision, but Ukraine is the 2nd powerhouse outside the big 5, I agree with him.
@@ConegamesNDJ Stefania was great
@@vincenzodanello4085 They gave him eurovision 2 times for pity and for political vote, 2016 and 2022. They have no point of comparison with Sweden.
@@salejandro1921 well I said that Sweden has a longer and bigger history in Eurovision than Ukraine.
But Ukraine still deserves some credit for never losing a semi-final, and for often getting great results

One of my favorites
So many amazing singers and songs. It sounded so good back then with the orchestra.
I thought Hold me closer was overrated but It's in my top 10 now! Sweden is a great Eurovision country in general. My top 10 of swedish entries:
1. 2012.
2. 1974.
3. 2015.
4. 2014.
5. 1991.
6. 2017.
7. 2011.
8. 2006.
9. 2004.
10. 1958.
I have exactly the same feeling about Hold me Closer
Every year Sweden is overrated
@@azrazimov2997 you're boring
@@azrazimov2997 1996?
Herreys are my favourites among these, and have been since I was 4 (1984!) 👍😃👍
My favorite has to be "Satellit" with Ted Gärdestad, vilken svensk klassiker!!
I remember Dance You Off getting a lot of hate that frankly I don't think it deserved - maybe because I Can't Go On and If I Were Sorry did so well, and perhaps undeservedly. But genuinely, I think it's one of the best pop songs to come out of Eurovision in recent years. It's sort of danceable but also slightly bittersweet
Love this video!!
I hope Dotter and the Mamas go to Eurovision someday.
I am a swedish person and i am very confident that Loreen could win eurovision 2023 with her song Tatto, Swedish eurovision contestants is always voted on stage by the democracy sweden has, music is the best art i've seen.
1988 is a masterpiece, and 1990 and 1994 are so underrated
I agree, Tommy Körberg is a fantastic singer and the song is beautiful. I think it has actually been listed as a Christian hymn by the Swedish Church now and is quite often sung at funerals…
and 2010
The Swedish national handball team have adopted Tommy Körberg as their mascot, and the song is their theme song! Also, I sing in a ladies choir, and we always finish our weekly repetitions with Stad i ljus. 🙂
I can’t go on is my fav
Wow, Sweden was always good...! Impressive!
Loreen forever icon ❤️
My Eurovision - obsessed Swedish GF just made me sit through this, with enthusiastic commentary while she says how much each one was brilliant or sucked. THANKS SO MUCH
Sweden is my Favourite in esc after Norway since im🇧🇻 they have so many iconic songs
We liked so much! We love Sweden
best eurovision country
Claes-Göran Hederström is my grandpas older brother, it feels cool to have him in the family.
i love the mamas
I am still listening to Tusse's song.
Really like this. He is so comfortable on stage. Just feel he places voice to far forward in high notes and stretches for it losing the true pitch. Hope that strengthens over the weeks. Hope it goes through to finals.
yeah
im from sweden and yea thx for fixing the vid it was fun
Cornelia❤❤❤❤
Sweden the Winner 2023❤❤❤🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪
Sweden has good songs. I liked satellit!
Sweden has always been good in Eurovision! So it’s good that they at least won 1 time! 😊
6 times. Only one win less than Ireland.
You mean 6 times lol
We have won 6 times 😊
Alice Babs was a vocalist with Duke Ellington.
