Ingredients: [ 1 cup = I US Measuring Cup (250ml) ]
• Prawn Heads - 200gms
• Finely Minced Garlic - 1 tsp
• Salt - 1/2 tsp
• Black Pepper Powder - 1/4th tsp
• Sliced Onion - 1 cup
• Green Chillies - 3 (Chopped), Adjust according to your spice level tolerance.
• Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp (For the colour, not the spicy one)
• Turmeric Powder - 1/4th tsp
• Chopped Coriander - 2 tbsp (Optional)
• All Purpose Flour / Maida - 2 tbsp
• Cornflour - 1 tbsp
• Arrowroot - 1 tbsp (You can use either 1 tbsp Rice flour or 1 tbsp Cornflour as a substitute of Arrowroot)
• Oil to deep fry
Mix all the ingredients together, apart from the oil. Roughly mash the prawn heads to get the butter tomalley out. Once done, heat enough oil to fry the fritters. Drop the semi-loose batter in hot oil and fry on medium heat for about 1.5-2 minutes on both sides. Serve it with hot rice and daal. :)
