- Today I will show you the process of making a wedding ring box. It will be an unusual way to propose to your girlfriend. After pressing the button, the ring holder automatically slides out. Enjoy watching!

The ai voice, that is honestly mediocre at best, does the craftsmanship in this video a large injustice.
AI voice and auto translation ruins the video ,I Know he wants to convey a message through his channel but I think he does it well enough through his art !
I like the extra detail, but I agree. I'd much rather hear broken English from a real person than even perfect English from an Al
he's russian, google should delete this channel.
They don't know how to play, should be banned.
Maybe someone on here would like to his voiceovers! I get why a person might not want their actual voice out forever on the internet.
The best strategy IMO is no voice over, but include the voice over text as closed captions. Primitive Technology does this
Gotta agree with everybody about the AI voice. Some people have suggested that you may have used it because your English isn't good, if that's the case I think most people would prefer hearing you speak your first language and just have subtitles.
I like the extra detail, but I agree that I'd much rather hear broken English from a real person than even perfect English from an AI
Though I agree, some people might not like their own voice out on the internet - I get it.
Maybe one of us here could do the voiceovers for him! Anyone?
"And you don't have to wave a dead chicken" 😂
Is that a bad translation of flogging a dead horse???
I hate it when I have to wave a dead chicken in the middle of a project.
Plot twist. It's the dudes actual voice and he's upset that we're all so incredibly mean. :(
yup! actually russian voice is the AI generated one 😁
If she says no, does the ring automatically goes back inside, while playing sad trombone noises?
The commentary sounds like AI text to speech of a bad machine translation. Please leave it out the next time.
It probably is :I
Something about waving a dead chicken?
I like it much better than having to read subtitles though. The translation could be improved but the voice is fine
@@sargentcolon2323 Weigh the dead chicken, maybe? Still imbecilic.
If I don't want to hear the AI voice, I turn the sound down. 🤷♂
Every single comment is about the voice narration and while I can't see a reason to add to that particular pile of negativity, I will say that the device DID turn out incredibly cute and I'm confident whoever is presented with this machine's contents would cherish them greatly. It's very well made and crafted, and you should be proud of it.
Ill also add that '8 seconds of waiting' is perfectly acceptable to me, although my wife would likely disagree. 😂
5:54 wtf? XD
Stroke
That was arguably the most important step.
Came for the beautiful device, stayed for the hilarious voiceover.
Got about three minutes in and I couldn't take the incoherent AI drone voice.
Oddly I remember in previous videos what certainly sounded like the actual creator voicing the video.
Perhaps they were insecure about their English? but I can assure them that what sounds like an AI read translation, from a script in their first language, is definitely not an improvement. (Or indeed, all that comprehensible some of the time...)
The previous narration was totally fine.
Which videos? I don't remember him talking
@@BrandEver117 I think the most recent one is about two years old now. 'A Unique, Original Lathe. Probably the only one of its kind!'
It's good to try new things to get some feedback, AI voice is a no for me. but narrating is nice, (when you hear it from a human.)
I'd prefer mangled english over AI voice, it has far more charm.
A delightful machine though!
A mechanical aid for a marriage proposal?
Did she say yes?
Great job, I like this.
I would make the spring slightly weaker so it comes out even slower
Bring your VOCALS back. NO AI VOICE!
Your voice and accent was a big part of why I watched YOUR engineering, other than the unique craftsmanship; I remember the video I subscribed because of was the Lathe video, and I assumed the video after was just unvoiced because it was a simple project.
The narration is god awful
Great projects as usual, very sweet.
You should also probably add some weights to the box so it wouldn't jolt at the reveal, just some lead beads or bits metal in the empty spaces inside the box, some rubber feet could also work by preventing it from sliding.
A little flywheel mechanism could also provide a smoother movement without very sudden acceleration, although I don't think you have enough space inside.
And about the voice over, if you really need narration, you can totally record yourself in your native language, and provide subtitles. it would be much more authentic, and I'm pretty sure no one would mind.
I'm also pretty sure that it's not even necessary, since a lot of people really appreciate the silent videos, a lot of native english speakers with youtube channels, still decide to go without narration, because there's a growing number of people who enjoy that kind of video, it's refreshing.
My advice if you need some kind of explanation as to what you're doing, is to add like 2 or 3 short little segments throughout the video, like 10 seconds each, where you briefly speak and explain your thoughts, and couple those segments with subtitles, that would be gold :)
And again, great video !!!
Nice video. Way better with commentary than whatching the silent timelaps.
Beautiful Project!
personally, I am a fan of no voices for videos like this, I generally have the audio on mute and captions on
5:54 Very well said, Nyarlathotep
I clicked. There was happiness😄
I like the voice over personally, although the translation can use some work
I was so close to staying, but I just couldn't bare it. I tried on mute, but it's just not the same. I'd recommend calming music and subtitles only
Your original voice even with a heavy accent feels more authentic, AI voice tends to cheapen most things by being associated with the usual tiktok rubbish content - your work is above that.
0:12 I think I have seen all your videos but I cant't remember this with this mechanism. Can you post a link to it please? I'm also curious what was that controversial about it in the comments 😅 Thanks!
I understand why you decided to use the AI voice and I think it is just fine.
You can do it any way you like, your skills are excellent and any presentation is fine by me.
genuinly, just no voice and putting comentary in the Captions would have been preferable to the AI voice.
You do beautiful work, dead chickens and all.
Non standard approach, such as, waving of dead chickens😂. If that doesn't fit "alot to talk about" what does! Love all that you make!
Honestly i liked it better wihtout commentary, just music and text, it was relaxing
Hi Levsha, very nice work , as usual; on another topic, I see you use both Sherline and Taig lathes, which one do you prefer? Thanks
I found it hard to concentrate on the visuals because of the AI voice over.
I much prefer 'silent' or subtitled over this.
Can you please post the Video's without nerration?
You will get more views.
Beautiful work and craftsmanship!
please don't do the tts. I love the interesting music you play. please, go back. ❤ it was good already 😊
This is one of those British this is how they are made shows.
Agree.. speak your language and subtitles it.. or just use subtitiles
3:58 Glad you didn’t have to wave a dead chicken. So much unnecessary work waving those dead chickens around.
don't have to wave a dead chicken
5:54 Contacting mothership Zeta 👽
10:04 This is exactly what my philosophy teacher told us yesterday
No point in weighing a dead chicken . Is a calibration term ..
3:57 what if I was already waving a dead chicken?
What about the plumbus
I thought something else would be in the dish.
Can we please just do substitutes instead of the AI voice
please dont put voice over the video
Please, no AI voice 🙏🏻
Macchinari eccezionali per lavori sempre eccezionali
That voiceover is so distracting
5:54 WTF dude !
5:54 what the heck happened here, didnt catch this?
AI voice would have been funny if meant to be a joke but it's just sad. No more.
You'd be better off getting a native speaker on Fiver to translate and narrate the video. Or get a native speaker to correct the translation, and narrate it yourself. Russian simply can't be easily translated to English by computers.
I don't like unusual marriages.
The awful voice over made this very hard to watch :( A shame, as I typically really enjoy your work!
I could have muted, but the gentle music and machine sounds really add to the video
Only dudes would think this is cool, girls would not find this romantic at all... Unless she was an engineer or something.
The mechanical voiceover made me enjoy your video a lot less.
3:50 can any one explain the dead chicken to me?
The phrase "wave a dead chicken" refers to trying to solve a problem using a method that's known to fail, but still showing that you've tried something. It can also refer to someone performing irrelevant tasks to fulfill someone else's expectations, such as installing a system in ways that don't work.
-fittingly enough, this answer was provided via A.I. generation.
@@mrblack5145 Is it a (direct) translation from another language? German perhaps? I have never heard that expression in English before.
@Martin_Edmondson according to the briefest of searches, it allegedly originates from cultures that practice voodoo. In that context, it was used to ward off evil spirits or disease. I'm also seeing comments from those that are self-proclaimed voodoo witches who claim that it's a complete myth and that animal sacrifices aren't necessary for any practice of voodoo magic, so that clarifies nothing directly. I can't speak for its usage personally as I've never heard it from memory, but if used in context, I could probably have assumed it's meaning and usage.
As for how it ended up in this video, my best guess is that he incorrectly typed a word into the script and let the AI translate it directly and he did not proof it, or doesn't know enough English to understand how jarring such a phrase would be. There are other words that are inconsistent throughout the video but the spellings must've been close enough that I knew what word he was trying for so I just rolled with it. I saw a commenter say he speaks Russian so I'd assume that is his native tongue.
Overall, I agree with many other users that AI generated voice overs are likely the worst possible audio option for this type of content and I would've preferred to hear his voice in native tongue with no subtitles over what was dubbed in after the fact. There are also audio issues that could've been found before posting, and I don't wish to hurt his feelings by complaining but this video is likely gonna flop for the audio alone.
@@mrblack5145 Thanks.
He is extremely talented, it is a shame that the AI voice was jarring enough to distract from his craftsmanship.
I may be misremembering but I think he speaks quite well, I thought he was Swiss. Could well be wrong on that though.
It might be "weight the dead chicken". Of course, then it would make perfect sense.
The translation is hilariously bad. A shame
AI voice is terrible. Otherwise I'm loving your content though!
😀😁👍
Please, dont talk!!!
I loved the AI narration. Hilarious!
The translation could be improved but I like the voice much better than subtitles
This was a amazing idea well crafted awesome job .. i also say ignore those people who complain about the ai overvoice it works well and honestly feels more instructional than most . KEEP IT UP
Don't do the AI voice. Either narrate it yourself or do subtitles or don't do any voice over or narration. This was truly awful.
Wave a dead chicken? Get rid of the narration please :)
🥱
