Forza 6 was a very good game... think the 5 is the worst (didn't played enough of the seventh, but it felt better than the 5 and worst than the 6... the 1, 2 and 3 were the best).
I liked the skins... wish ever racing game have a painting tool. I vote for the Benetton's 87 and 91, that are two of the more beautiful cars in F1's history. But all Benetton's cars paints are beautiful:

As I have said in my post above, FM3 definitely had the best tracks, and better fuel/tyre wear rates, but FM4 undoubtedly had the better car selections, if you count the DLC stuff as well! Add the former to the latter and the "PERFECT FORZA" would be created. NOT the best, ....as I reserve my idea for a "Heritage Pack" of ALL cars and ALL tracks ever implemented in that category! ...lol ....all "shapes", colours and decals and all wrapped up in the FM3-4 package!

Paul Clynes I came from fm2 and just got 4 and I can see so many improvements! But, there are little things that bug me to no end. The HUD UI is lacking, customization is slow due to the menu structure, upgrades are cheaty (free after level 4 affinity), they've gotten rid of brand names for different after market parts.

Yep, played all 3 FM's on 360, completed every race in all of them and got every achievement and was attempting to get every single car in my garage in FM4 before I moved over to XB1.
I haven't bought a single Motorsport game for it yet, played the demo of FM5 and read + seen how little content there was in the game so I didn't bother buying it, and had lost interest in the series by the time FM6 came out.
So FM5 basically killed my love of a series that I spent more time with than any other from 2009-2015.

Australian V8 Supercars is made by God and endorsed by the Devil... my favorite racing category after the long gone Group B.
IMHO, Forza was amazing from the first to the third... after it the series turn hard into a more arcadish approach, that I didn't liked because it took the worst of both worlds and became a bureaucratic arcade. But a lot of folks preferred that way, for one reason or another... overall I think that T10 made it smart, since most racing players are very casual about their games.

(no lint) basically your using light abrasion to get rid of large scratches and polishing at the same time.

Oh and suggestion for future -
    need for speed: pro street
This has a unique race event method where you pick a primary and secondary car for a series of different events, if you damage one though you gotta complete the rest with what you got - it's a cool balance of playing it safe taking 2 all-purpose cars vs taking say a street car + drift car to specifically suit the races in the series - no other racing game has ever done this and i loved it.
It adds a whole different level to just picking your best car per race like most other racers.. makes you actually feel like your loading up a truck with 2 cars and heading out for a weekend of racing in another city. Plus when you return you gotta pay to fix any damage to your cars which takes away credits for new cars/upgrades, sort of like running a race team, again adding a whole new layer of realism/immersion beyond just physics.
It's also the closest to underground 2 in terms of fun IMO

No mention of the addition of being able to shift with a clutch?! That was one of the most polarizing aspects of this game for me. It had a steep learning curve, due to having to relearn to brake with the middle finger instead of index (index was clutch). However, it was extremely rewarding to master the clutch. It was extremely satisfying to drive on 100% expert mode without any driving aids in FM3, even more so than FM2. Piloting the top tier race cars was immensely satisfying I remember especially so.

6:35 ‘quality over quantity’... This nailed it for me back in this games glory days.
I jumped from GT4 to FM3; skipping the first two Forza games. Mainly because I had an Xbox 360 and didn’t get the PS3 until 4 years later in 2014. I was blown away. The customization, playground game modes, healthy lineup of cars with the right amount from each manufacturer.
In between, I got a chance to play GT5, and i couldn’t get into it after being used to the customization of Forza. Even when I eventually got GT6 on sale later on, I was still missing the Forza series and I would still jump on FM4 over GT6 just because quantity over quality. I rather have a smaller number of polished cars than 55 editions of the R34 Skyline, and badge engineered Toyotas with their Lexus counterparts. When I played GT6, it was always a disappointment when I bought my favorite car just to find out it that it was a ‘low quality’ model with less detail and no interior (this was before they updated the game to let you know if it was a detailed model before you bought it). It felt like I was playing a GT4 expansion pack.
Not saying that GT is bad, it’s just Forza does it better for what I look for in racing simulators. Gran Turismo is more of an interactive car museum; it’s pretty fun to read on cars that wouldn’t be in any other racing game. Also, to be fair, GT6 had a way better online experience than any of the Forza (Motorsport) games I’ve played.

I play this game and assetto corsa. The simulation of this game isnt as good as assetto corsa. But the car tuning and upgradablilty is soooo cool. I love doing engine swaps and upgrading brakes etc. My main gripe with the simulation is definatley the steering, and NOT HAVING A NEUTRAL GEAR. But no other game (other than fm4) has the fun tuning, huge car selection aswell as the okay sim like this one. When i have people over its so cool having money on everyones accounts and seeing who can make the best car on a budget and then race them on the nurburgring! I just wish there was a game that let u tune like fm3 and fm4. And race like assetto

I remember when it was new, it was the 1st game I played online. The multiplayer mode was pretty cool, but because of the skill points system it got pretty crazy, if you stumbled into a lobby where everyone were friends and you were winning the whole lobby would participate into stopping you.

Forza 4 just adds quite a bit more content and tracks while retaining the same engine and formula. At least visual gear shifting is included.
If you're coming off from Gran Turismo 4, the LMP cars feel vastly different. In arcade, you can set the tires to be extremely grippy, which may come as a shock as the cars turn quicker than expected, taking some fine input on the thumbstick to master. In Forza, it's a little more forgiving, however the back ends like to slide around, so mashing on the gas right after a turn might lead to a spinout. I've turned off all the visual clutter and go strictly for first person view for that true racing simulation feel, you'd be surprised how difficult certain race cars are to drive with ginormous blind spots! The Peugeot 908 for example, extremely fast, but also extremely difficult to drive, since the windshield is tiny, and the rear view mirrors aren't in your peripheral sight. Open air cockpits are a blast, and I highly recommend those to beginner drivers in the LMP class.

This was another great video review for Forza Motorsport 3 here anyway, as well as some awesome F1 inspired paint jobs/liveries there too! 👍😃
This game was actually the first and still to date, only game in the Forza Motorsport series that I've fully 100% completed fully game and all achievements for! 🙌

I find it interesting that the goals of Gran Turismo Sport and Forza Motorsport were kinda already done by the other series.
Gran Turismo Sport wants to make better cars, ones that look so good that they can be used in the future for the next games in the series. Forza has been doing that since pretty much Forza 3.
Forza wants to make a car collecting game, where every car feels like an accomplishment or desire to get. Games like Gran Turismo 2 and 4 pretty much perfected that already.
Guess it’s just another same-genre battle lol.

I have a review on FM6..although my channel is very small, just would encourage watching it. Pretty much from FM4 is where the series took a huge fall. FM5 -FM7 is pretty much the biggest disappointment in the entire series. Never did a review on FM7, but figured really no point as it's very similar to issues in FM6. Terrible online features, enforced hoppers with 24 player only. What you're reviewing is basically the highlight of the series....but only without the online racing features. All I ever want to see in the few years is a stable online mode where people can race variants of cars and still have a close race online and leaderboard times. It's been what most players have been wanting for a long time. Huge fan of the series, but fell off flat after FM5, and 6 wasn't much of an improvement. Thanks for the reviews on the older titles though. Really helped re-enforce just how good the previous XB titles were.

I always found the class restrictions were not always enforced. Unless it explicitly says A class only, you can usually take a S class into an A class filled race. So long as it matched the other rules such as drive type and manufacturer. They fixed this in 4.

    Great video
Another cool and neat feature that was in FM3 was a quite expensive one for the die hard fans. If you had 3 xbox 360s, 3 copies of the game, and 3 monitors, the game actually supported a link feature that would stretch the video across the 3 monitors to give you that left/front/right field of view for that real panorama experience. Each xbox would handle one of the views from a particular monitor, making sure the full view all together maintain full visual quality. As oppose to downgrades you'd typically get from split screen games. I've seen it for the interior of the car. I'm not sure how that looked if it worked for the exterior view settings.
This feature was eventually removed after FM4.

I like the additional content, the option to repaint racecars and some quality of life improvements in the editor, but apart from that this game disappointed me a bit by removing big parts of the established rpg-like unlocking systems and with how understeery the cars are. Also while it's nice to be able to tune road cars into racing classes it doesn't do much if they handle so much worse. Would rather like a system where you can use professional grade upgrades and get a matching effect. In Forza 2 you could tune some of the super cars to really keep up with the racecars.

I prefer the driving in Forza 3 over Forza 4. 4 might be more realistic with the driving physics. But it seems like I am driving to not crash, as opposed to racing as fast as possible. In Forza 3 the cars are easier to drive and its more about braking hard, nailing apexes, and then getting on the throttle as soon as possible. Lap times for circuits are also faster on Forza 3. The sense of speed and acceleration is greater in the game.

The rewind feature should be limited to one rewind per lap and no rewind function on hard difficulty.. they could also include customisation of rewind and disable unlocking new content when that feature is enabled...
By the way Gran Turismo destroys this game when it comes to realism in the driving mechanics but the slightly more arcade controls do make this a fun racing game in its own right...

13:23 Starting at the back all the time isn't true; in career mode for every 5 levels you gain, you move forward one position if your car is rated higher than the next. Eventually, (and in arcade mode) you're assigned your starting position based on your car rating like everybody else- last if the lowest and first if the highest. This made the early test track races even more frustrating than Forza 2, cause there at least you had your position assigned based on simulated qualifying. Here in the testing races you have to shove your way to the front in the little time you have. This is why I tried to get some amateur/manufacturer races done first; having better and faster cars as well as longer races made it easier to win without being aggressive and costing you damage money. That in turn brought up my level enough to not have to worry about using frowned upon tactics - better starting meant less fighting.

I am currently play F.M.3 right now. You can get up to 1st on the grid if your P.I.(performance index). The higher your P.I. the higher your position. You also can only get you driver level to 50 after just a few hours of game play. After that your just racing to finish the game. Not the greatest in my option.
