I don't think this remix has ever been commercially released.
Unlike other RCA/Arista artists who had their "Dance Vaults" officially released in the 2000s and 2010s (such as Whitney, Christina, and Kelly Clarkson), the Eurythimics only had a handful of their 1980s remixes made available.

This pales in comparison to the Rauhofer mix. Not even close.
I feel exactly the same way but in reverse. The use of the vocals in this one turn it into an epic anthem and absolutely destroys the Rauhofer version. The Rauhofer version is a fantastic remix, but the vocals in Thunderpuss remix are omnipotent. 🔥❤️🔥
You’re welcome to your opinion. The Rauhofer mix helped him win a Grammy, this mix flopped.
3 minutes and 23 seconds of introduction. And a very uninteresting intro at that. I love this song, but that was awful. If I hadn't known the song, I would have checked out after about 45 seconds (and I am being generous). Then at 6:43 the song sounds like it's ending. She sings a lyric as if it is ending. But no. Then at 7:40 she just reverts to the empty intro again - for 2 more minutes! So basically we had over 5 minutes of dead time, just empty crap. Glad they cleaned this up for the album. This should have never been released. Just awful. And I love this song!!

What you describe is pretty much every Thunderpuss remix. It's not the artist, trust that. Huge Pet Shop Boys fan here, and you should here how he ruins some of their best songs. Give me a Guetta or Vasquez remix ANY day!
