You can use a twin needle to sew straight lines like a cover stitch but they can do so much more!

Can the double needles be used on any sewing machine other than an embroidery only? I have a (MC9000 and a 1600P) The Heirloom is just beautiful!!!

Not on the 1600p. As it is designed for a single needle and only has a tiny hole in the needle plate.
Yes for the MC 9000 but make sure the needle is in the centre position.
