Also the sound sample at 23:03 that was used in very low speed cooldown of theme 3.
I always have a certain satisfaction from hitting the rear end of an dodge SRT viper whenever I play this game (on either side, whether I’m a racer or a cop)

The intensity of this music is something we need in more recent NFS games. You feel scared af when those drums kick in especially at heat 10 with Koenigseggs and Bugattis flying past you. The cops overall in this game are fucking deadly. Not like NFS 2015 where they barely tap you. In this, they will not stop until you die. Loved this game.

Wow. So that's why when I'm in a chase, the pursuit soundtrack will switch to another soundtrack: they are divided into different intensities. That's why the soundtrack is so matched with the kind of chase I'm in. That is very interesting to know.
Intensity 1: Chasing or being chased in a heat level 1 car vehicle.
Intensity 2: Running for your life and cops are a bit far behind or you're chasing someone at relatively high speeds.
Intensity 3: Very high speed chase where you get some adrenaline going through yourself.

I absolutely adore this pursuit soundtrack, it really reminds me of the old blackbox era NFS' and how intense they were. which I guess is fitting because this soundtrack makes me feel like I'm going to get murdered by these police; the only thing that would make this better imo is the heavy bass drums and the dogs barking from Heat's night pursuit soundtrack, those dogs scared the hell out of me when I first heard them.
It kinda reminds me of back in the old 2011 days when blackbox used to make their own flaws

I would say this game had the best pursuits and best pursuit theme. They were brutal and unlike anything we have seen in a need for speed game, but it could have had just a little more things to do for me. Could have used an actual multiplayer too

You know, people keep praising MW05's pursuit theme, which is fine because it is their taste, but man the pursuit theme of modern NFS games are so good. I'd even say better than MW05. The pursuit theme of Rivals, Hot Pursuit, 2015, Heat, Payback and Unbound's heat 5 are very aggressive, banger, epic and even scary. It's just sooooo good. I love them. But, there are two ost from blackbox's NFS that I absolutely love. Canyon Duel from Carbon and Highway Battle from Undercover. Both of them have that aggressive and epic vibe. And I'm not gonna forget about The Run because the game's ost is fantastic. Epic Race 3 is my favorite The Run's ost
I must disagree about Unbound though. The only one being heat 5 gets quite repetitive. Other ones simply don't fit as far as those are just rap songs without lyrics.
Only Rivals and HP 2010/Remastered had the most intense pursuit soundtracks in all modern NFS games. Heat and Unbound? Absolutely bad.

Nah, the pursuit theme will stay. After all, Rivals' pursuit music defines on how you are screwed whenever the police see you driving recklessly. Plus, they're equipped with deadly weapons.
Ehh, I don't mind about the customization because Rivals did it just fine, unlike Hot Pursuit where you have to change the color of your car. The cars are nice, but it's basically off on how the cops hold all of them because they are the strongest cops in the franchise, surpassing Rockport's and Seacrest.
At least that Rivals had the Complete Edition in which you get to purchase it with all DLC's included in one game. The only complaint I will say about Rivals is they should remaster it as a whole, because this game is buggy due to the 30FPS lock. Here's the thing, everything will stay but the game should be set to 60FPS while AllDrive still remains.
To be honest, Rivals just needs a remaster fixing its issues, not a complete remake.
If I had to be fair, this is the only NFS game that I see getting a remaster.

I remember when I got T-Boned hard I went flying and when I respawned I find out my HP is almost 0 so I have to Risk using Turbo Tech to reach Gas station, the police was riding my ass the whole way there, and when I reached it, I turned back on him and chase him with my pursuit tech instead, he got ESF'd by me then reached the Gas station where he turn around and parked, we both just kinda honked our horn and continue chase as normal.
Magnificent Maniac I remember doing the final race as racer and I nearly got wrecked at the end and let a massive sigh of relief after crawling through that gas station

And then hearing this music as a racer and then I knew that in the next 30 seconds I'll get busted
