Advantage KastKing, a very fair comparison
I'm a newbie who's using KastKing Blackhawk 2 rod. I paired it with Brutus spinning. I totally enjoy the fishing experience and now it's time for me to learn baitcasting so I ordered another Brutus set (baitcaster). I will upgrade to Spartacus II or Zephyr soon so me and my kids can have our own rods when we go fishing..
I just got a Cast King Spartacus II. New rod comes tomorrow for it. Love it so far.
God i wish we had a shop like this in Australia! We dont have a shelf of reels like all the videos from America 😭
Gear ratios are misleading…a larger spool with a lower speed can get the same inches per turn
I have been using my Black Maxx for almost 2 years. It was first baitcaster i ever used. The drag kinda annoys me though. But over all im a fan

Good review, I’m a spinning reel guy. I’ve been thinking about a casting reel and rod for a saltwater spinner baits.
I've had good luck with Abu and bad luck. It breaks you're screwed plain and simple. Kast King never had a problem #1 they work and keep on working. I'd go with Kast King mainly because it's faster. And has a great drag system. If a reel is going to break it's always with the drag, always. That's my #2 cents. Anything under 50 bucks you're taking your chances. Kast King for me.
My Spartacus II stopped working. When I press the release, the spool doesn't roll. Too many times I pressed the release, went to cast and nothing happened. I took it apart to clean it, put it back together and it still doesn't work. Disappointing.

I own 6 myself and I agree there aren't better reels at their price
Anyone else notice the free spin after he cranks and let’s go of the handle the abu spins a lot smoother and longer and the kastking looks like its handle only spins about 10 times and the abu spins about 15 each time the abu just keeps wanting to spin and the kast just dies out

Not true. I had a crixus and the spool come apart when I set the hook on a fish and they would do anything about it
lol that is if they answer your query . some people have been ignored on their warranty
I have 3 Abu's, no complaints. I know I can go to any wally's and get one. (quick fix X-mas prezzy)
