- T-Birds star Debbie Garvey joins her husband, Ted Marolf, a tough Detriot Devils defensive specialist (who eventually went on to the broadcast booth), on a local TV show, Wilton Wednesdays (Wilton, Iowa). Ted and Debbie were high school sweethearts but skated on opposing teams in Roller Games. The couple shares interesting stories about their time in the wild world of roller derby!

Ted and Debbie should come to the Skater's Reunion in Las Vegas next year. They can skate around on Lali's Track there. Great interview and good to see Ted and Debbie looking great.
Grandpa loved Pro Wrestling and Roller Derby. Grandpa lived in West Covina so I grew up watching the T-Birds, or Tweetee Birds as Grandpa called you. But I lived in the SF Bay Area so the Bay Bombers with Charlie O, Joannie Weston and Ann Calvello were my team.
Hi Debbi Ted! its great to see you! I grew up watching you at the Olympic and on TV. This is a back to the past feeling! Debbie you still look the same! pretty as always! I remember when you said your job in Santa Monica let you take time off to skate in San Diego..lol.. you told me that at track side back in 79. I walked up I was 13 years of age.. I was nervous you said hi honey what's your name...this is a great video.. Ten you scared me a bit you were a tough gur I remember... I my self was in Roller derby in the 90s.. it was a dream but very rough training.... I cant imaginer what you guys went through on Televison... luv you all..

I never ask this..but I wonder how old are you now.. you where a grown woman back in 78 bigger than me....Ted where you ever on any other trams aside the devils> ? your villain character dyed blond hair was ahead of its time... I always though you where a big guy who scared the other skater... its great tp see you both
She and Dorothy Hamill are the real life Benjamin Button, they just age in reverse.
