Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on CZcams yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

We have a second grandchild coming in December. This is a great item to have ready! I love this simple but beautiful pattern!
Perfect timing! (Congratulations on the upcoming second grandchild too!)
@@HookedbyRobin First grandchild came over today and loves her Purrmaid I finished last night.
aw yay! Glad she loves it!
I love this pattern. I would like to make it for my little great granddaughter.❤
Such a lovely idea Mary, definitely make it!😃🥰
Ohhhh I have some of that yarn in my stash in various colours 😁
It's fate! 😃
@@HookedbyRobin trouble being some I only have 2 balls. How much of the 3rd ball did you use? Or how many chains do you think to make a smaller one for 2 balls 😁
I didn't use much of it - I think I only needed enough for 4 or 5 extra rows from ball 3
@@mammyhoneymonster ooh OR you could break it up with an occasional solid colour (so I could have interspersed with some cream rows to match the border?)
@@HookedbyRobin so I can just make it slightly smaller 😁 now there's a plan. I've 4 different colours I think 🤔
Such a clear and helpful tutorial thank you. Can I ask a question? I have done 6 rows and edges are bit uneven is this ok will it look ok when the border goes on. Thank you.
I have some yarn that will be perfect for this beautiful blanket..
Lovely blanket well explained! Thank you. I am not sure about your suggestion to do single crochets at the corners to prevent them becoming too pointy. If you were to do single crochets there would be no third back loop to crochet into to make the camel stitch. I haven’t tried it but I was wondering.
Robin, have you ever done a filet crochet blanket. Like with a rabbit or a rose etc? I do love this blanket pattern
Hi Robin
Scheepjes named someof their yarn after placets in the Netherlands.
Barneveld is a place about 50km above Amsterdam.
Btw I love this video and make this blanket for my granddaughter. She Will be Born in dec🤗🤗🤗🤗
Thank you for this video

My daughter currently has her friend visiting from The Netherlands and he is trying to teach me the correct pronunciations - I am not very good at them! haha!
Hooked by Robin 😅😅😅😅
Very good that you try💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Any reference to Barbra Streisand's lyrics from the song "Little Boy Lost"?
"... Little boy blue
don't let your little sheep roam,
It's time, come, blow your horn,
Meet them all, look and see,
Can you be far from home?"
I just finished this, only it’s a little girl pink 😊. I was wondering how I should block it. With steam?
Hello! Newly subscribed. I hope to learn patterns
Hello and welcome! Thank you for subscribing! 😄
Ive only got 3 50g balls in rainbow pastels, will that be enough?
Lovely simple pattern, but the look of it will change depending on what type of yarn and size of yarn you use.
How long did it take you to make a this blanket I want to make it before Christmas he's not by January
When will a written pattern be available? I like to take a pattern along with me as I travel.
Ahhhh so sorry! I had COMPLETELY forgotten about getting the written pattern up on my blog! I will get that sorted tomorrow for you :-)
Written pattern is now up on my blog :-) byrobin.blogspot.com/2019/08/crochet-little-boy-blue-vintage-baby.html
HELP! I had a video of your Caron Big Cakes blanket, the one that has the double shells and then 5 double stitches. Because my fingers sometimes get away from me, your video just disappeared today and I am in the middle of your beautiful border. Could you possibly send me the link to that video? Thank you in advance.

How do you keep the edges straight ?
Is this a size 3 or 4 yarn? I can't find it anywhere. Meaning the varigated yarn, I am trying to know if my measurements with my yarn will match up (i'm using a 3 yarn)
Hi! I cannot find this pattern. Can you send a link to it? I have my yarn. Yea!
Written pattern is now up on my blog :-) byrobin.blogspot.com/2019/08/crochet-little-boy-blue-vintage-baby.html

So sad it says the yarn is sold out
You can pre-order it with her! It should be arriving back in stock on the 10th 👍😃
Hi
Hi! 😃
Your end rows are not the same
I'm not sure I understand what you mean? :)
Talk too much!!!!
The video clearly shows the pattern starts at 3:46 so you can skip any chatter you don't want
If I wanted to change colors, how many rows of each color would you recommend? Thanks!
