Spoiler: Idk why Tanaka ended up with Kiyoko in the manga. Its not that i dont like the outcome, it just doesnt make sense to me since the author introduced the tall childhood friend who liked tanaka. To me it is too big a move to make a new character - give her a backstory - and make her harbor feelings for tanaka only to end up disappearing. The childhood friend would literally make no difference if she never even existed. Again, i dont hate it, i just dont understand the reason behind the author's decision. Its like a child who lost a dad that was a proffesional baseball player, and before the dad died, he gave him a baseball glove and bat. Several years later, the boy is part of the soccer team and would improve and train in soccer and we never get to see or explore what the heck the baseball thing was about. Would literally make more sense to just remove the baseball theme altogether since its a soccer story....

ManyYehet Other than knowing who Shimizu end up with, knowing Asahi’s career choice is one of the things that surprised me while reading the manga. Some of other characters careers are also quiet surprising, and it made me feel giddy imagining about it. Read the manga. You will honestly not regret it ❤️
General McNuggets I wish I could read the manga but because I watch so many different anime’s I don’t really have time to read mangas in between 😂 I look forward to finding out their career choices though! I know 4 of them end up on Japan’s team I think...? And I’m taking it Kuroo is going to be something that requires a lot of knowledges since he it’s canon he’s one of the smartest characters in the show.

Idk why Tanaka ended up with Kiyoko in the manga. Its not that i dont like the outcome, it just doesnt make sense to me since the author introduced the tall childhood friend who liked tanaka. To me it is too big a move to make a new character - give her a backstory - and make her harbor feelings for tanaka only to end up disappearing. The childhood friend would literally make no difference if she never even existed.
Again, i dont hate it, i just dont understand the reason behind the author's decision. Its like a child who lost a dad that was a proffesional baseball player, and before the dad died, he gave him a baseball glove and bat. Several years later, the boy is part of the soccer team and would improve and train in soccer and we never get to see or explore what the heck the baseball thing was about. Would literally make more sense to just remove the baseball theme altogether since its a soccer story....

Agree. Not a shipper of any pairings in this anime, but Suga marrying Kiyoko made more sense imo. He just seems to know her more or whatever. But I guess Kiyoko marrying Tanaka had more impact to the fans than Suga.

I think the Furudate-sensei was using the childhood friend to show that Tanaka is dedicated to Kiyoko, and doesn’t want anyone else. If I remember correctly, the second he thought she was going to confess to him, he rejected her, proving that he’s not infatuated with girls in general, but particularly Kiyoko, if that makes any sense.
