I am from northeast India and since ancient times rice water has been used for hair. I see many comments of leaving a pungent smell but what we do is boiled the rice water with herbs like parviflorus Benth , hibiscus leaves with flowers and few other aromatic leaves. It leaves your hair smelling really good. I hope this helps for some of you.😊

Rice water is hands down the best way to grow your hair, I’ve been using RW on my hair for two or three months now, the first week I rinsed my with rice water three times every other day then just once every two week or so. The first time I used it I noticed how thick my hair became and I loved it and my edges returned within days. I cut my hair in the middle of this process and my hair grew right back within two weeks... but I’ve also learned that rice water is packed with protein so when using RW stay away from products that contain protein because you will send your hair in a protein overload which is bad for your hair but other than that I give RW a A+.

I like your video about rice water, that reminding myself of my mother when I was little and still living in Laos. Every time she washed her long black hairs with rice water that she collected from socking sticky rice overnight then cooked every morning, but she always drained off the water and kept it for washing her hair. Also each time she added kaffir lime juice by cutting the kaffir lime by half then pressed the juice with her hand and putting the whole pieces in the rice water as well, and the smell was amazing... she used to rinse her hairs to every wash. Her hairs are so soft and shining. Using that mixture until now and my mother is in her nearly 90 now

It is really unbelievably effective, My mom suffers from Eczema, and she's been trying all different medications for years. She used rice water rinse recently, and magically, no more eczema!

is it OK to make a large batch of rice water and freeze it to keep for your hair routine. I am new to the rice water routine and when you said that you could freeze it to use it on your face, that sparked this idea. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

I'm so glad that you did this video. Saw a bunch of "skin whitening using rice water" videos, didn't want to give them even a view. Cheers

quick question: in today's world rice, no matter what country it is farmed in, has about 4grams arsenic in a cup of rice. Soaking rice in water or boiling it and draining the water removes 60% of the arsenic. That means rice water has the majority of the rice arsenic in it.....Do you think that it is still healthy to use this? I want use this method too but I am sure the chemicals in today's rice wasn't there in ancient times, as it has increased from pesticides, etc. Perhaps not a healthy/beauty benefit it was before an age of chemicals?
    What are your thoughts?
I did look a little further and it seems California Basmati rice has the least amount of arsenic. Brown rice from China being the worst.

JujuBe not healthy for the skin because you can get more infections etc. ...the rice has a lot of pesticide etc.

I use rice flour from a clean company. It's used in cooking, so I like to believe there are less pesticides and that the rice is washed before it's ground into a power. Much easier to just add water to the flour and then drain it. I still get great results.

Could you put the rice and water into a blender, to puree the rice into the water? Ferment and strain? Seems like it would absorb more nutrients
