Your statement about not needing a break, rather needing to get better is something that EVERYone should take to heart. You didn't give in to frustration instead you simply got better. You are actually an inspiration and whoever is lucky enough to catch your eye will be one lucky individual.
You may have bought a bus, but you built a home. You climbed learning curve after learning curve, and were brave enough to show the world how it's done.
I was lucky enough to be here for most of it, and am so impressed with the drive and tenacity that you show while accomplishing your vison.

This was such a great compilation, Emma -- just so impressive in how you've grown as a person and how you've build your own home!!! Amazing!!!!! And your home is so, so pretty, too. Now, forgive your Virtual Grandma, but this comes from someone who remembers cassette tapes, VCRs, and dial-up internet. Please find a way to save this video, and maybe your entire build series, so that you will be able to have it over time in a way that you can hold it in your hand. Time change, technology will advance. Who knows where CZcams will be years from now? And your grandchildren will need to see this!!! I remember you just showed up one day on my feed, I thought oh why not see what’s going on here. I had to go back and watch the first 2 episodes first. I kept thinking no way she can do most of this alone. Each episode you could see your confidence building, just like your home on wheels. Each week I’d think , nope, not going to work but you proved me wrong. I’ve been involved in some form of construction most of my long life. Emma, what you’ve done is amazing. You should be extremely proud of yourself. The build was great, but your personality is mostly what kept me watching every week. Why you don’t have more followers is beyond me. Safe travels.

At about the 6:55 time marker you said "What have I done" Well I might say you have done an Absolutely Wonderful job, sure it took time and you had wonderful help and idle time to get those creative juices flowing but BIRBIE has emerged. I watched the video, I think You did a great job. I have also learned to never tell a person they can not do a job, I let them do it because it brings out there creative side that they did not knew they had. You did a great job and should be very proud of it.

I always underestimate these bus conversions to be 6 months or so. Prob false confidence in my skills with carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanicals - but seriously, 2.5 years makes sense and is a reasonable timeline for most. The experience was clearly life changing for you - as it would be for anybody. Too bad more young people can’t afford this kind of project, as it would be great for personal development across the board. Maybe it should be a high school course?
