I think this was the reason purple cloth was crazy expensive back in ancient days until a scientist (forgot their name) was able to acquire the purple colour through mixing some chemicals making it available for mass production

This is so cool and weird at the same time. I love purple color to the bits, and I love William Henry Perkin for inventing synthetic purple color accidentally, so having sth purple is not that hard and expensive💜💫

Don’t worry folks, those snails will not go extinct any time soon. I have pet snails in my 4 fish tanks. I started off with 1, and within 2 months I had hundreds!

One thing is for sure. _Don't ever make people too hyped for this kind of product._ Keep the demand on control so that there would be no overfishing.

Even though this is an ancient practice, using one of the rarest and most expensive colors on the planet, it's still cruelty to animals. One should also mention the negative sides to represent all aspects of this craft.

It is. It has been done like this as far back as recorded history. The mass production will always use cheaper synthetic dyes, so I don't think these snails will be going extinct any time soon.
