    Great method, one of my favorites when I feel like putting in the effort.
    I would suggest going to "Players" tab in the club screen instead of team report. With a view showing some key things like age, current and potential ability you can assess much quicker and without much clicking. Don't have to look across multiple positions or swap between CA and PA, it's all on one screen. May not sound like much but with 365 reports per season it really adds up.

      Thank you! And that is a great method, definitely helps to expedite the scouting process by including important attributes all in one screen!

    This is a great method to spot youngsters with potential. Kudos to you. However the fact that this is one of the most effective ways of finding wonderkids also shows us that the actual scouting engine of the game is broken. Let me explain:
    Now we are spending hours every time we start a new save and every time we change clubs in that save to find good scouts.
    While we are looking for these scouts we look at their judging abilities but also take into account their adapabilty and most importantly their current knowledge around the world.
    If our club lacks knoıwledge in South America for example, we try to hire a scout who knows the area well and send him there.
    What does that mean "knowing the area"?
    It means knowing which clubs have the best academies, produce most graduates and quality players and having the network to quickly learn about new talent right?
    So practically what you are doing in your video is why we actually hire a scout in the first place.
    We send him over to Argentina because we assume that the scout would have enough IQ to check out River Plate youngsters.
    It doesn't happen though, which is why you are trying to micro-manage it.
    This is obviously a mistake done by SI and needs to be fixed in new versions.
    We should not be telling a professional scout specialized in Argentina to go and scout Rive Plate. It has to be default since it's a no brainer.
    I have big issues with scouting this year and to be honest, your method -which is effective- is a proof to be thrown at SI for next year.
    Good work!

      This is an interesting point and I think it is something that has been discussed by a lot of people in the FM community. Scouting does quite a bit, but sometimes to find the truly great youngsters (that your scouting department may not find) it requires a bit of manual scouting. Checking international youth teams, team reports on clubs with good academies, etc. provides that x-factor to scouting that you may not necessarily get from your scouting department alone.

    I like this method, but also for loaning players from much bigger clubs. You can get youth academy players on free loans close to the end of the transfer deadline a lot of the time, giving you more squad depth and usually good personalities.

    • @FilipinoFM
      @FilipinoFM  Před 4 měsíci

      Absolutely, loans on deadline day are one of the best ways to improve your squad without having to pay a wage or transfer fee to work your way up the league systems.

    I checked this on my game, while it gives you a good idea on some teams. It is not complete. For example Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia) is not showing on that list. Same with Serbian teams. I suggest doing the team report thing, but do look for a more extensive list on the internet.

    • @FilipinoFM
      @FilipinoFM  Před 5 měsíci

      good point, it's always good to check other youth academies depending on which leagues you have loaded too

    so my club says its too expensive to scout this way, how do i fix this?

    • @FilipinoFM
      @FilipinoFM  Před 2 měsíci

      Depending on how much transfer budget you have, you could move some of it over to your scouting budget to help allocate funds. Otherwise, you may need to scout clubs more local to you if your club can't afford to send your scouts further away at the moment.

    ice method mate! Thanks! Attribute masking off?

    • @FilipinoFM
      @FilipinoFM  Před 5 měsíci

      Thank you! In this save attribute masking is off, but if you have attribute masking on then the report will help to narrow down the ranges, then you can do a one week scouting report on any players you think you might want to sign to help decide whether or not you want to make a bid for them.

      Correct, 1 per day regardless how many different scouts you assign to these reports
