Many people think Geoff’s mouth movements were voice activated, but in reality I had to flip a switch every time to make the mouth move. Every. Single. Word. There were also separate controls for his right and left arms, head swivel and blinking eye lights. Someone asked recently if the harmonica was pre-recorded. No, that was a real harmonica. All the instruments I used were real. So I learned to move quickly between the remote control and whatever instrument was being used in the moment. All while making stuff up! “Were the phone calls pre-recorded?” Again, cannot emphasize this enough: it was all made up on the spot, in the moment. I never knew what voice I would do until the moment Craig said, “I wonder who might call now…” 📞 While all of this is going on, I’m also using a second remote control to operate and voice Sandra the Rhino on occasion. Plus, I’m voicing all of the phone calls, celebrity flies, every member of the Shy Fellas band, and Secretariat’s inner voice. Whew! 💀 -JRT

Dude, I'm not gonna lie: I genuinely miss this show. No joke, I've actually had recurring dreams lately about how much I miss this show. It just felt so sincere and funny compared to today's late night lineup. It would make me the happiest person alive if the entire run of Craig Ferguson's tenure as the host of The Late Late Show were to be released onto home video, so I can watch it whenever I want. And if Craig were to ever return to TV in some capacity (preferably as a late night talk show host again), I hope you'll be right there with him, be it the voice of Geoffrey Peterson, or something else.

About 2 months ago I didn't know anything (!) about Craig & Geoff and the Late Late Show. Today I found this "best of" video. And I, realized: In the last two months I spent hours and hours (and hours) of time with the show. Every free minute. It was AWESOME! And without Geoff it would have not been nearly as good as it was. It's the best late night show I've ever seen. Period. Thank you Josh from the bottom of my heart for these years of work!

Fuck Miriam. But seriously, just wanna say that you and Craig helped me tremendously during a rough part of my late teenage years. The thousands of hours I spent watching you helped me get better at English and now it's my passion. I was just a lonely Brazilian kid looking for entertainment and you guys made me laugh every night. I downloaded every episode from 2007 until it ended because obviously it never aired where I live. I knew when Craig announced he was going to leave the show that there would never be another talk show like this one. It felt special during the time, and still does. The silliness was just unequaled.
Going to say it again : meeting “Geoff “ and Craig was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I don’t know if you know this , but that time I was on stage was my third time attending a taping from 2010-2011!! That’s how much I loved the show and loved you Guys together. This is the only late night show my wife would watch with me. She laughed like a lunatic at Craig and Geoff's back-and-forth routine every.single.episode. It's a testament to just how funny it was.

As an impressionist, I’m always amazed at your range. It is a tough craft to perfect and for some, like myself, can run into voices being chased to recreate at intervals stretching years. You have and are a true gift to this profession.
Josh, I always loved watching you and Craig play off each other. Truly loved doing what you did, held nothing back and kept true to yourselves. Thank you both for everything you did to make our nights better. That being said, this was not my first choice for late night comedy. I have always enjoyed the simple pleasures of Daffy Dook.

I was there from beginning to after the end. I know it’s been said time and again but you were the backbone of that show. I wish you had gotten more screen time as yourself. I think you could’ve easily been on screen with Craig and been able to explore even more comedic areas. There’s not many that can crack the Ferg with uncontrollable laughter as much as you have done. You’re excellent, don’t ever forget it, I will do as much as I can to shine more light on the true late night genius in the shadows!
I'm from the EU, so I didn't know about the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson until some years ago, but I watch it regularly here on CZcams since then! Big fan, one of the best show I've ever seen to be honest. One of my favorite bits is when you call Craig pretending to be a celebrity or some other person! Your impressions are spot on and always very funny. I'm not sorry that the show ended, as all things have to, I'm sorry about not finding it sooner! I might have emailed you guys. God I miss this show. I still in my head play the Secretariat song whenever anyone asks about someone at the door. You made the show for me, all the phone calls, voices, Geoff's answers to tweets and email (you ever been to _______?), and of course the Kraftwerk sketches. I miss this show dearly, it's something we could all use right now. Something about unscripted fun just beats the hell out of political rants (even if I agree with them) and celebrities hocking their new project. I hope people recognize your genius.
I hate this. Since the show ended, it left a void that no other show filled. Every other show follows a strict format where all jokes and questions are written and read and thats it... No improv is allowed... I just hope this show would come back in any kind of format. Could be a 20min show with Craig, and Josh doing Geoff and newly invented characters, a show with a monologue then Q&A and phone calls, then a sketch, I bet netflix would pick that up.... But I'm just dreaming
Netflix loves throwing money around, I wonder if Craig and/or JRT would be open to doing a show a couple nights a week on there if popular demand can be shown to be high enough. Could be a ‘late show’ / ‘talk show’ format with occasional sketch comedy, or could be a sketch comedy show. Though, IMHO, the most enjoyable/unique part of the show was the quality of the improv/witty banter as part of a late night show format. Late night tv was mostly crap back then, but man - it is infinitely worse now. Think about how much more Craig’s show would stand out these days - since every late night show, every episode, is full of the same uncreative trump jokes night after night. I get far more laughs re-watching 6-12 year old Craig episodes/clips on CZcams than I could ever hope to get from any of the current late show garbage - more hosts/shows than ever, more crap than ever. Anyhow, point was - time to start or share a petition/survey to show there is demand for Netflix to give them a show

By far the best comedy duo out there, by a long shot. Nothing else comes close in my opinion. True comedic talent at work.

But seriously, just wanna say that you and Craig helped me tremendously during a rough part of my late teenage years. The thousands of hours I spent watching you helped me get better at English and now it's my passion. I was just a lonely Brazilian kid looking for entertainment and you guys made me laugh every night. I downloaded every episode from 2007 until it ended because obviously it never aired where I live.
I knew when Craig announced he was going to leave the show that there would never be another talk show like this one. It felt special during the time, and still does. The silliness was just unequaled.

I don’t know if you know this , but that time I was on stage was my third time attending a taping from 2010-2011!! That’s how much I loved the show and loved you Guys together. This is the only late night show my wife would watch with me. She laughed like a lunatic at Craig and Geoff's back-and-forth routine every.single.episode. It's a testament to just how funny it was.
I would love a show in which Craig would visit Geoff in all his places all over the world.

As an impressionist, I’m always amazed at your range. It is a tough craft to perfect and for some, like myself, can run into voices being chased to recreate at intervals stretching years. You have and are a true gift to this profession.

Josh, I always loved watching you and Craig play off each other. Truly loved doing what you did, held nothing back and kept true to yourselves. Thank you both for everything you did to make our nights better. That being said, this was not my first choice for late night comedy. I have always enjoyed the simple pleasures of Daffy Dook.

I was there from beginning to after the end. I know it’s been said time and again but you were the backbone of that show. I wish you had gotten more screen time as yourself. I think you could’ve easily been on screen with Craig and been able to explore even more comedic areas. There’s not many that can crack the Ferg with uncontrollable laughter as much as you have done. You’re excellent, don’t ever forget it, I will do as much as I can to shine more light on the true late night genius in the shadows!
I'm from the EU, so I didn't know about the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson until some years ago, but I watch it regularly here on CZcams since then! Big fan, one of the best show I've ever seen to be honest. One of my favorite bits is when you call Craig pretending to be a celebrity or some other person! Your impressions are spot on and always very funny.
I'm not sorry that the show ended, as all things have to, I'm sorry about not finding it sooner! I might have emailed you guys. Good luck Josh on your future roles and good luck on the documentary. Very exited about what the future might hold for you!

The Late Late show with you and Craig was and still is the very best show on late night. While the other shows have a funny or a cute bit now and then...nothing compares. I think it’s unfair to even consider the late late show as a talk show. It was a beast of its own. Nothing similar I’ve seen before or after. We’re very lucky for it’s existence. ❤️

You made the show for me, all the phone calls, voices, Geoff's answers to tweets and email (you ever been to _______?), and of course the Kraftwerk sketches. I miss this show dearly, it's something we could all use right now. Something about unscripted fun just beats the hell out of political rants (even if I agree with them) and celebrities hocking their new project. I hope people recognize your genius.

I hate this. Since the show ended, it left a void that no other show filled. Every other show follows a strict format where all jokes and questions are written and read and thats it... No improv is allowed...
I just hope this show would come back in any kind of format. Could be a 20min show with Craig, and Josh doing Geoff and newly invented characters, a show with a monologue then Q&A and phone calls, then a sketch, I bet netflix would pick that up....
But I'm just dreaming
Netflix loves throwing money around, I wonder if Craig and/or JRT would be open to doing a show a couple nights a week on there if popular demand can be shown to be high enough. Could be a ‘late show’ / ‘talk show’ format with occasional sketch comedy, or could be a sketch comedy show. Though, IMHO, the most enjoyable/unique part of the show was the quality of the improv/witty banter as part of a late night show format.
Late night tv was mostly crap back then, but man - it is infinitely worse now. Think about how much more Craig’s show would stand out these days - since every late night show, every episode, is full of the same uncreative trump jokes night after night. I get far more laughs re-watching 6-12 year old Craig episodes/clips on CZcams than I could ever hope to get from any of the current late show garbage - more hosts/shows than ever, more crap than ever.
Anyhow, point was - time to start or share a petition/survey to show there is demand for Netflix to give them a show
