Absolutely loving the rFactor 2 content Dave. I just got out of a radical limerock park race, 160+ signups! its pumping and the driving is brilliant with some very skilled drivers battling it out. Don't listen to the haters Dave unfortunately sim racing has far to many keyboard warriors that spent more time in the comments section than on the race track.
Lime Rock is one of my all time favorite tracks, radicals look like a wild fun time around it!
Don't you think it's a funny coincidence that Dave is playing rFactor2 right after being attacked by a labrador? We're being played guys! ;)
Seriously, I tried rFactor2 online after watching your videos, and it's pretty good! But it can be chaotic at times...

I've done 4 online races so far on the new online, such a mixed bag so far. Won my first race, next race the game crashed between sessions, actually had to restart my PC, missed quali, then in race ffb didnt work (since mapped a button) got a DNF. 3rd Race I won after some great battling. 4th race - massive stutter/freeze in a corner which put me in the barriers.
Great racing, did this race myself yesterday and really enjoyed it.
Have to ask what sound settings are you using in game ? The wind noise when racing to open tops cars really annoys me but seemed a lot less on your video.

My rig is appart now, so I can’t hop in the rf2 online hype, but I would totally be playing it a lot if I HS more time.
I’m about the experience, and even if rf2looks ugly on a common computer, it does have some really good conveniences.
Short and a bit technical, Lime Rock Park is a track that rewards super-precise and consistent driving. The slightest inconsistency that wouldn't cost you a thing on other, larger tracks will ruin your whole lap at Lime Rock. In order to consistently do well, concentration is key. For such a small track it can be challenging to maintain that level of perfect control inputs. Little wonder it's the home track of racing greats like Sam Posey and Paul Newman.
That was a great drive, Dave. Lime Rock is not an easy track to do well on. Congratulations on the podium finish.

URD just released a turbo version of the Radical, apparently developed with Radical, for Assetto Corsa. It's alot of fun, and very very fast.

Lol I did this race last night, started at the back of the grid as I messed up Qually, should have started top 3. had a decent start until someone spun in front of me and too much damage just about managed top 10

I just find the driving standards online much worse than any other sim. Unfortunately the driving experience doesn't make up for it 🫤

Those radicals look like a handful. I stay away from them in any sim
Great race Dave but the actual video sound was weird. Loads and loads of ambient noise i.e. tyres wind and engine noise. I could just about hear you above it all and just occasionally hear Jim mumbling in the background. Very strange, like the settings got jumbled somehow. Enjoyable race though, maybe silver next time.
How many races did it take you to get to bronze 3 in Dr and Sr?

Love rf2, mainly msg get hatred by Americans due to the indy car and nascar license issue, personally don't get it.
Love the radical /lime rock combo, almost have my silver safety rating but I'll still be racing in the radicals, too much fun
I got into silver for sr pretty easily. But my driver score hasn't gone up much even getting a few p1s now. I'm not sure what's up with that.
Essentially you need to beat drivers who are ranked higher than you to gain DR. While you can gain SR equally from any position. Also, bigger gains/losses in special events.
I’m reinstalling RF2 I got a lifetime subscription had it for years just waiting till the morning for my pads to be delivered re padding my 3080ti 105c hotspot 🥵 😂 hopefully see u on there mate.
I think people now can say what ever they want to people with out someone in front of them they also do it for attention. Who ever said it is training for a job in media
My wife had a dog 🐕 incident. Had to get an emergency visit to an ophthalmologist. Scraped up her cornea pretty badly. She can still barely see out of that eye after over a week.
Love my dogs, but they don’t know their own strength. 😂

Hey, have you ever considered emulating realworld racing broadcast where, before the race start, they show a topdown view trackmap to educate us viewers for 10 - 20 seconds on passing points, difficult corners, etc. etc. that you may encounter before the event?
