Yes, Serato. I first stated on vdj when I started using a laptop and got away from the 💿 players and Behringer DJX 700.
That was my FAVORITE mixer! Wish I never sold it smh, but I also have the updated version 750 + many other controllers, cdjs & turntables

On the plug-ins folder. Why is it they are empty?
We have the sound effects and it’s empty? Usually will be filled with the files the software came with. But it’s empty. I brought some files from the old virtual dj and put them inside that folder, but once I open the software nothing appears in the effect section. Just the original effects are there but the ones I put on the folder they do not appear.
How can we add new effects , don’t know what formats they need to be

What are the reasons the suggestions in GeniusDJ and LiveFeedback may differ for the same song?
Does serato have live song recommendation
It's an algorithm, and is always changing
I don't use serato, but my guess is it does not.
@@LeFave No I mean I get that the recommendations will change over time depending on what other DJs are playing. To clarify my question, both GeniusDJ and LiveFeedback are algorithms, but I see they both provide different recommendations for me at the same exact time for the same exact song. Do you know the differences between the two algorithms?

@DJ_WAG right on man! I won't ever bash another dj software. I've used them and really I just enjoy this one the best. It's nice that it's free to download and test out. You'll also find the support community is really really helpful. A very proud bunch lol.
As always, this channel is here to help you along the way. I know sometimes the transition can be frustrating, but trust me....if you want to do something in vdj that some other software already does...it can probably be done. Just takes a little time, patience and understanding.

I have subscribed both but I feel like they have almost the same content.
Definitely something I can look into. I chose to test Tidal first because they have a deal for Veterans where it's like $6 a month for their catalog (but still have to pay more for the 1000 download option...)

I noticed that Feedback and Genius both gave suggestions for songs that are not in my library or are available to stream along with my library. Is there a way to only show what is in my library that you know of?
Unfortunately no, that feature does not exist.

What I do when I use this feature is I get ideas then I click on the search icon (even if a direct match does not appear to be in my library). Then you at least get some of the keywords into you search bar that you can trim down to see if you may in fact have that song, but it's just called something different.
honestly this tool with the library database filter and Deezer there is no song or remix you cannot find.
Right?! Like I said, I'm just started messing with Tidal, and will see how perhaps the premium tier works with the 1000 downloads. Sometimes there isn't wifi so you gotta be prepared. But just for at home.... it's a no brainer!
@@LeFave here is another trick I use and this is to curb recording gliches. If you search and find a song on deezer while recording it will pause recording for that song. I use a program Drmare music converter it uses spotify and not only can you download but it also makes all your music technically sound.
