This is insane improvement. Excellent guide.
This gave me a 10-15 percent increase in performance ty! I recommend to everyone to reinstall their graphics driver every once in awhile too, I had to install mine like 3 times to get it to work right. After the first driver install it was worse, another install made it faster lol

I know this was 7 months ago so I say this with no disrespect. However, if you go to the Legion Go menu (top left button) they release the drivers there now to install. Just makes life a little easier. Awesome video thanks for the extra knowledge

I recommend the Legion, over the Steam Deck and I love my deck ...Legion Display is just that damn good the Oled Steam deck can't compete ..unless one just stuck on the deck

I would recommend against using the bloatware software, followed all steps and windows is messed to the point I'm tying a full windows restore.

That gain is pretty much only from changing the vram and updating the drivers If you do the same test without installing bloaty you'll get the same or very similar results.
I agree, most likely. But, I was skeptical on the Bloatey call but tried it anyway and just made sure to read through every thing it was changing. My process count and ram utilization after fresh booting windows went from 200 to 120 process and about 5.2G Ram to 3.4G Ram. There were a few things in the video like amd software, windows photos, some other stuff I didn't really want it to remove so I left them in, but for the most part I think it was a win and I'll keep that application locked away in the back of my mind for future use.
And even if I go into steam and play a game and then re-close every thing those process counts and ram return back to 120/3.4G respectively so it's not just stuffed that gets turned on shortly after booting the system, it's stuff that stays off.
All that updating my graphics drivers did was break my FPS overlay cause I dont play modern games game much. So tbh Bloatey was the real winner here for me. Windows using less ram and CPU for its bloatware is always a win.
@agentfletcher Either way, it's still less crap you don't need installed, leaving you a little more space for games. 😉
Should’ve done a benchmark with the software tweaks first, then increased the vram then done another benchmark. I’ve been using ccleaner on my Go. I might have to try Bloaty

If ur Nov 7 driver makes u stutter just play on the 10/25 drivers it’s way more staple for the new wz and fort
I have a question in MWZ. With this setting it seems like the game crashes only in MWZ but not in multiplayer. Could the problem be in the graphics settings or vram settings
Hey I'm having trouble opening gamebar with the Xbox button on the controller, I've tried everything online to fix it. Not sure if maybe using bloatware messed it up some how. Any ideas on how to fix it? Gamebar does work tho, just the xbox button wont open it

I didn’t have any issues due to the fact we updated our drivers afterwards:)
When you update your drivers if you check through device manager, does it say the current driver is from September? Thanks for the help
Yes these drivers are September drivers for the legion go Lenovo is behind drivers even tho they released them November so we can expect better performance in the future

Yes I do recommend doing a system restore point thanks for pointing that out ! And from what I know it doesn’t detect apps installed by users only Microsoft apps

I tried this but my smooth brain could not figure out how to use the new version of bloatnosy, looks completely different as far as the starting page and then couldn't find the bloat pilot app within it either.

You have the possibility to set the Vram to 6gb, you just have to do a bios update

Yes everything will work except the drivers the drives make sure to get them for the ally not the one form the description and make sure to make a restore point as well just in case you don’t like it 😋
My processes number went from 264 down to 143😂. One problem after doing all of this to my LeGo. It deleted all of my GamePass games and now I have to reinstall about 200GB worth of games…. So that’s lame.
the screen is a good screen but what's the point in having the 144 Hz if you can't max it out because the thing can't handle itwhat's the point advertising it at 1600 P if I can't even do that that sounds stupid
Yea I get you and that’s true but they did it that way for a reason I’m not sure I remember reading about it but there is a reason for the 144hz. And the higher resolution is so when you do end up playing at a lower resolution it still looks good.

It's true that it's a good tip for reducing the number of processes used, but The amd driver and Realtek audio menus do not appear. The same thing happens even if you reinstall the driver. I'll have to go through some more options and delete it.
And after this video so many noobs that have no idea on owning a pc let alone a windows handheld has just bricked their legion go ..some of this “bloatware” are Microsoft apps that windows needs if shit hits the fan ..BE WARNED AMATEURS

I just did the gpu one an i can run all the games on ultra or high settings no lag

@Skrillma5 yes but you have more options to customize. Most the tweaking is overkill. It also took steam a while to run well.
