It's so nice to see more competitors for things like filters: )

I have and use the ND from Irix and I love the quality and the very low profile! The price is also great for what you get!

I have been using the Irix ND-1000 82mm for the past few months and have loved it. I had a couple other no/name nd filters and have been very disappointed. This one, like you said does not drift the color and the optical performance is super. I will have to try the light pollution filter after I save up some money. Looks like $154 for the 82mm. :( Thank you Mr Abbott.

They've done a good job with these filters, and I'm glad to hear anecdotal feedback from users like yourself that have had a positive experience.

I wish this video to be recommended next for anyone who has watched a mega youtuber branded filters video.

Thank you for the review, Dustin. I've been researching which mid-tier filter to get and frankly, this topic is so obscure. I cannot find any articles on the Formatt Hitech Firecrest slim ND nor the NISI PRO Nano IRND. I'm curious to see how those stack up to the Irix EDGE ND.
Also, NISI offers a 2-in-1 CPL + ND filter. Only review I could find was published on NISI's website so it might be biased. Any knowledge on the matter would be much appreciated.

I'm afraid I haven't used either of those filter options

Great review. I have a bunch of B+W stuff on my various wishlists, but they are close to twice the cost.

Right, and that's where I think these Irix filters have value.

Glad to see that they don't cost $250

Glad to hear that the 10x has no color cast, but most polarizers do have a slight yellow color cast. So is the Irix polarizer totally neutral or does it also have a color cast?

meh... that wasnt a review that was a presentation...
"They seem to perform well"... maaan i came here to get that paticular answer.
I know you can do that way better.
For example, just compare that light pollution filter with a shot done without and reduce yeellow green tint in post. You already have both pics....
    I am a bit disapointed

Umm, I did just that, actually - several times, in fact. I also document that in the written review.

I have a question: how do these work, if at all, with the Irix Edge filter holder on the 15mm? For example, suppose I want to use the screw thread 95mm CP with an ND grad on their filter holder. As I see it, I'd need to use their 95m adapter ring. If I attached the 95mm CP to the lens, then attached the filter holder to the the front thread on the 95mm CP using the 95mm adapter ring, then that would very likely result in mechanical vignetting as it pushes the filter holder at least 5mm further forward than it would by attaching using their bayonet adapter that attaches to the lens hood bayonet. On the other hand, if I attach the 95mm CP onto the front thread of adapter ring, I might not get vignetting, but I would lose at least one and possibly both of the filter slots on the holder.
Your wisdom is appreciated in advance.

Hi Martin, I actually have spent time with the filter holder, so you might need to address your question to Irix.

@@DustinAbbottTWI Thanks. I have tried contacting IrixUSA, twice already, but no one there seems at all interested in responding. Frustrating. (Really enjoyed your review by the way. Thanks.)
