One of the reason Beauty and the Beat is my favorite fairytale is because of him and that stunning voice of his. I can't help but also think they patterned the beast's eyes after Robbie's own eyes. His eyes are these beautiful light blue.
Lioness Mummy Absolutely. Traditional animators usually took facial expressions or appearance and worked them into the animation to give the character extra believability.
Lioness Mummy. They actually DID create the beast's and the prince's look after Robby.
They obviously used his very distinct eyebrows too- but then had to make them ginger, (legal purposes?) which made the beast look strange.
He gave Beast a feeling of gentleness and loss.

Its called getting into character.
Denzell is a New York native but he can change his voice reflection so you can't tell.
Training Day and the Might Quinn were his finest work.
So if your a decent trained actor. It shouldn't be too hard to suppress your native accent and get into character with a different voice reflection.

Robbie Benson really embodied the Beast with his voice and his charm. Every time I hear it, it's so nostalgic. It can be both scary when he's angry and both romantic when he's kind and gentle. This dude is a quality voice actor as well as an actor.

I've always had a huge crush on him.🤣 Its funny, my favorite line from the movie is one word, when he gets a makeover and Lumiere says "You look so,,," and the Beast replies "stupid". The way he says it, it's so cute.🤣

I guess I was one of the few people were wasn't surprised at all by this choice for the part of beast. I had remembered Robby Benson's range when he and I were both much younger and he had a rather sad and beautiful part in a movie (I can't remember the name of the movie) where he played a boy with a brain tumor. He was amazing, even at the age he was. I also knew he had (and still has) an amazing singing voice). Yes, this was a perfect choice for the part of 'Beast'.

When I think of Robby Benson, The movie "One on One" comes up, where his young adult BB player, character is under a brutal BB coach, which I think Robby wrote the movie script...??? But Robby, you're a Champion, a survivor, as well as being a consummate actor and director. This man has survived 4 open heart surgeries !!! As person with CHF, I just can't process those surgeries.

And I just can't undersatnd why Disney couldn't use him again. It would bring him to light - acting wise, cause I know he's been directing - again... He is gorgeous... The new guy is beautiful too, but, man, this gauy is gorgeous.
