    I really love these tutorials, especially over the GW ones. I feel like those tutorials are made to sell paint, since every single part of the model is painted with a different color.

    The new "Orruk Flesh" base paint is really close to your homemade "Ork Skin" color, so that may be worth looking into. I personally find that "Base plus Shade" is often plenty of detail for normal miniatures. I don't see a need for layer paints in most cases, except for highlights

      I actually have a video comparing the new orruk skin with my mix. I do like to use both and I use both in my other tutorials as well to show people lots of different ways. There is a benefit to re layering and it gives you the opportunity to beaten up. But a lot of the time, as you say, it’s not always needed.

    Love this, any idea of a single colour you could buy that matches the green mix for the base layer? I’m terrible at mixing consistently!

    • @TableTopReadyYoutube
      @TableTopReadyYoutube  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you very much. Honestly I don’t. Not sure of other brands though 🤷🏼‍♂️ if you struggle with consistency. I can only suggest using half a pot of flash gitz yellow and pouring it into the death guard green. I am hoping games workshop will eventually make this colour maybe, who knows.

      @@TableTopReadyCZcams cheers! Was going to down the Deathworld Forest, Elysian Green, Ogryn Camo route with an Athonian wash but your recipe looks even more vibrant, perfect for offsetting the dark armour of the Goffs I think! Once things are more open I might search the different ranges and see what I can find!

    Hey! You should redo this but with a bit more steps for a even cleaner look. I've been doing this but glazing orruk flesh over muscles and then doing ogryn camo glaze on the highest places and it really turns out good. Also a bit coelia greenshade in the deepest recesses looks really good
