The way that I can always enter a flow state is by doing the flame and the void technique from Wheel of Time. I'm not joking! It actually works!.
Imagine a flame in your mind and feed all irrelevant thoughts into that flame until you have reached a state of void in your mind. Then focus wholly on what you are doing and amazingly, as long as you keep the void and avoid thinking about trying to keep the void, you can stay in a flow state.

I sometimes enter Flow when gaming, studying, martial arts training or doing target practice. It is incredible but also extremely energy consuming. At least for me. And yeah cafeine does help. At least when I play competitive games, it activates Flow State way more often. It is kinda random for me. Doesn't happen rarely but it also doesn't happen whenever I chose for it to happen.

Yeah I always felt like flow state is a superconducting state of being where very little energy is used because of how natural the task comes to the individual. It becomes like breathing. Not something to get worn out over. I also feel like caffeine would be a more artificial state of flow because of the come down that comes with it. It’ll leave you drained compared to a sober practice

I had a long response but cba to write on phone.
Here is a thought i have read about music that helped me understand flow.
      It goes something like this.
'learn the rules to playing piano technically perfect and apply until you do play technically perfect. Then forget the rules. '
Essentially, with it you have the craft of piano playing minus the dogma how HOW someone else wants you to play it. That leaves space for your brain to make his own space and pace. And brain works best on its own terms.
You get to explore. Thats what flow is.
Cant achieve it without brutal hard work. Piano playing cant be any short of perfect, or brain will have to think about sequences, rather then exploration.

I think this happened to me when I work as a Data Encoder. There are moments when I feel relaxed, the state of mind is calm and as I think about which data that is required to encode, I don't feel stress out, it feels like an enhanced auto-pilot system of my brain. Quick but wise decision making, effortless, faster repetetive performance, lesslikely to feel pain or something and less likely to be distracted. But when I get my full consciousness back, I lose my momentum, the flow state.

    • @c.galindo9639

It’s basically your full processing power of your brain taking over and knowing the actions you recognize and want to achieve and computing it for your next action faster than your body can move to your brain’s processing power. Which is why you lose momentum because the body can move so fast and the brain is processing at the speed of a super computer

I started doing this with hobbies, drawing, skateboarding, and guitar, then it would happen while i was at work, with much to do in lil time, I'd be able to calmly adjust and be super precise and focused on every step while thinking 3 steps ahead. I was able to get into the zone almost instantly by imagining I was some type of super trained sleeper call for the cia with unknown skills I've already mastered, for some reason just the thought of that would get my heart and breathing stabilized at a synchronized pace and allow me to become hyper focused, precise and fluid with barely any real thought outside of what I was focused on completing simultaneously. Flow state In the blink of an eye.

@@pentingberhasil633 sleeper cell lol, like from the movies, some regular dude who hears a code word and becomes "activated" and remembers how to do insane things with perfect technique. It was just an analogy I thought of. Really the only way to get into that focused mode is to completely put everything else on the back burner and set to complete a goal of whatever it is your doing, and think of nothing else but that goal and all the steps needed to complete it. While performing steps towards completion, be prepared and visualize the next couple steps ahead atleast so that way you don't need to stop working towards to goal completion and you are completing the task whilst simultaneously thinking of the next step, that way progress is fluid and way more efficient.

In spirituality entering flow state can allow you to access information otherwise unavailble. Some call the Akashic Records or universal knowledge. I'm sure other peoples can confirm what i'm talking about. You can ask questions in your mind and the answer is given to you. There's not even effort involve in it, the answer is just there for the taking. It's amazing what you can learn. Anyone can get there, it's not something special, it's just an elevated state of consiousness. It's also call being in the zone, everyone experienced this. It's when you are certain of something, certain that you cannot fail, that you are absolutely certain. Micheal Jordan often talked about it, getting in the zone and he knew getting that shot was 100% sure.

8 test in 1 day. Actually 6 hrs in school and I need to finish that.
1 by 1. After you finish go to another one.
Yes I review but I only sleep maybe 2-3 hrs. So it's hard for me to remember what I study.
... In the moment the teacher gave the test paper...
I feels like I become deaf but I can hear I just don't give attention to what I heard.
When I start reading the questions time for me become slower and slower
Anything around me feels like vanished. I think that moment I am the only one who taking the test
I read the question, give the answer I think it is. And continuously answer one by one. No doubt in my answer usually I did before leaving a question before.
That day I finish all the test. In almost 4 hrs.
Straight back to home. And I feels like I want more.
It's like a drug that once you used. You'll get addicted to it.
Still seeking for that place until now.

On a certain level, we have a drug store in our brain, the neurochemicals that show up in flow: so dopamine, norepinephrine, anandamide, endorphins, and serotonin. If you were to try to cocktail the street drug version of that, right, you're trying to blend like heroin and speed and coke and acid and weed- and point is, you can't do it. It turns out the brain can cocktail all of 'em at once, which is why people will prefer flow to almost any experience on Earth. It's our favorite experience. It's the most addictive experience on Earth. Why? 'Cause it cocktails five or six of the largest pleasure drugs the brain can produce. We're all capable of so much more than we know. That is a commonality across the board. And one of the big reasons is we're all hardwired for flow, and flow is a massive amplification of what's possible for ourselves.

Reality is the state of things as they actually exist, rather than how they may appear or be perceived. It is the sum total of all things, events, and phenomena that exist and occur in the universe. In philosophy and metaphysics, the nature of reality is a central question. Many people believe that there is a single "true" or "objective" reality that exists independently of our perception of it, while others argue that reality is constructed by our minds and dependent on our perceptions and interpretations. Ultimately, the concept of reality is complex and multifaceted, and different people may have different perspectives on what it means.
Appearance without substance. Everything is a hallucination. So this moment right now is a hallucination. It's always been a hallucination. That's what reality is. In psychology hallucination means perception without any input or data. So traditionally if you go to a mental hospital and you're telling them that you're seeing monkeys running around with stripes and polka dots, they'll say you're hallucinating.

Imagine you are just fighting somebody for karate or something and then suddenly they start blinking less, and start moving free er and then you can’t land a hit, you blink, they are already inches away from you with an attack coming, you dodge but they catch you before you can even move and you wake up on the floor with a sore neck from the hit, you fight again the next day and the same result happens except you got closer to dodging, you try again and again, each time getting closer to dodging and landing hits until one day, you dodge the attack, you close your eyes, take a deep breath, and enter the same state they were in the whole time, a flow state. They are so shocked they get knocked out of the state and while they are distracted, you land a final neck chop in a split second and knock them out cold. Moral of the story, determination is rewardable

So it's known as 'muscle memory' because it's being executed from the sub-conscious. We aren't consciously aware of our brain doing it, but it feels like our muscles 'know' what they're doing. The code has been optimised and doesn't take so many CPU cycles to execute.
I think my homework code needs a patch update asap! 😟

Connecting with the joy of looking at beautiful things. This will make you fall in love with life. The beauty of when I walk out of my house, I look at trees, cars, the sun, the clouds, the desert, where I live. Even my own body. When I look at my own body I just get joy out of looking at the beauty of my own body. My body is a work of art. I can connect with that um. Just that alone is enough to create an amazingly fulfilling life.

And so many think because then happened, now isn't. But didn't I mention? The ongoing WOW is happening, right now! We are all co-authors of this dancing exuberance, where even our inabilities are having a roast. We are the authors of ourselves, co-authoring a gigantic Dostoevsky novel starring clowns! This entire thing we're involved with, called the world, is an opportunity to exhibit how exciting alienation can be.

Peak or ‘flow’ Experience Explained in 2 minutes: A new perspective from affective neuroscience
It has recently been demonstrated (link below) that reward uncertainty or novelty can enhance the sensory experience of high value reward. In other words, popcorn actually tastes better when we are watching exciting movies, and tastes worse when we are watching paint dry. This is due to what are called dopamine-opioid interactions, or the fact that dopamine activity (elicited by positive novel events, and is responsible for a state of arousal, but not pleasure) interacts with our pleasures (as reflected by opioid release), and can actually stimulate opioid activity, which is reflected in self-reports of greater pleasure.
Opioid release occurs when we are consuming food and drink, but it also occurs when our musculature is in a state of inactivity or rest, which is why relaxation feels good. Thus it follows that any behaviors which have a lot of positive reward uncertainty (creating art, climbing mountains, etc.) will stimulate naturally occurring opioid activity in concurrent resting states, with subsequent self-reports of high arousal and pleasure, which precisely describes all peak or flow experiences. In other words, peak experience is simply opioid-dopamine interactions due to pursuing positive novel events during a state of rest. Furthermore, as dopamine release scales with the salience of the activity, so will the resulting peak experience. We also see this for peak or flow experiences, where the pleasure and arousal scales with the importance of the task. Thus a rock climber who is risking his life would have a more intense experience than if he were attached to a tether that would break his fall.
A longer explanation from affective neuroscience is provided on pp. 81-86 in the open-source book on the neuro-psychology of rest linked below, as well as a simple procedure on pp. 44-51 to induce and sustain the positive affect characteristic of flow. The book is based on the work of the distinguished affective neuroscientist Kent Berridge, who was kind to review for accuracy and endorse the work.

I've had this happen to me playing pool....I'll come in socializing and just having a good time and play a few games....but it's like, if I lose a couple games in a row, it's like something switches......unconsciously. Next thing I know, I'm knocking down bank shots, 2 rails, 3 rails, jump shots, walking the ball up the table, difficult english back spin shots, and have won 5 sometimes 10 games in a row....and my buddies would often times ask, "you aight bruh? Somethin on ya mind?" And I'd just be like "nah" but after the first couple times it happened, when shots just falling for me, they knew that switch had been made....like I said, it's almost unconscious...almost
