    What the heck!!! How are so knowledgeable about these details and history of pins. So I'm assuming you have a history degree just from watching All of your videos. How else did you gain soo much knowledge? I've been doing this for a few years and dont know a dang fraction! You are amazing - keep sharing your talent🙂

    • @OlivesVintageMarket
      @OlivesVintageMarket  Před 2 lety

      LOL, you are so funny! Yes, I do have a degree in history, political science, and business. I am a Medieval and Jewelry historian. I know it is weird, but when you find the things you love you just go after them, or at least I do, lol. I am making a video right now on the best resources for research and the ones that you should not waste your time on. That way others can do research and have an amazing time looking at jewelry as well. I have paid for so many sites, done so much research, and think it is time to let everyone know how to research, and do it for virtually nothing! I am just a cheap person, lol, at least when it comes to information. Maybe not so much on the jewelry side.

    Здравствуйте! Сегодня подписалась на Ваш канал! Много информации, благодарю Вас! Я тоже имею небольшую, но интересную коллекцию винтажной бижутерии.
    Хочу узнать, почему в Вашей коллекции нет украшений от Florenza? Здесь, в России, они очень ценятся, я обожаю эту марку. Это был просто вопрос, потому что в Европе сложно иметь такую роскошную коллекцию как у Вас!!! Мой восторг!!! В свою очередь, в моей коллекции много чешских, шотландских, скандинавских украшений. Я всего лишь 2 года назад начала это хобби и очень рада!
    Благодарю Вас за видео!🙏❤️

      Oh, thank you so much. What a great idea. I did not even think others would want to see how much they sold for, but I actually keep all of that down, so I can add a date sold and price. I will definitely do that thank you so much for the idea and commenting!

      @@OlivesVintageMarket I totally agree. Oh my gracious, what a beautiful collection! I've just started watching your channel and it's so helpful! I'd love to know what they sold for too. I'm trying to start limiting my sourcing to smaller items for inventory reasons and vintage jewelry from estate sales is my favorite thing to sell. Thanks for your time!

    • @OlivesVintageMarket
      @OlivesVintageMarket  Před 2 lety +1

      Thank you so much!! No I use my adobe video editor to make my videos on my pc. I didn’t even know they had apps that made videos, lol. I got into editing photos for my jewelry and then thought, “hey I could do videos too,”! I turn all of my jewelry photos I take into vector files so I can then place them in any background I want. It takes a long time to get making good vector files down that is why I will always share them with whomever would like them. I know it’s hard and since I’m doing it anyways I am happy to share. Thank you so much again for your wonderful comment!!

      I am happy to add the name of the music. Once I put it all together I will definitely have them in order by year & maker, but when just making a small video like this one it takes a long time to put them in order. So I will be making more and thank you so much for your comment!

    How did you authenticate I have many items but I can't tell who made them very nice vintage pieces.

    • @OlivesVintageMarket
      @OlivesVintageMarket  Před rokem

      For me I have been doing it a long time, and it is probably easier for me because when I see certain details or components on a piece I then go to my catalog, other resources, advertisements and cross reference to see if that was piece in a certain collection, but maybe not marked. It really just boils down to research and cross referencing. I have some other videos that show how to do this and the resources I use. I also am happy to send my cheat sheets to you that have a lot of info. Also, I am happy to try and help you if want to send some pics to me of the front and back. My email is kaciepaige03@hotmail.com.

    How do u research the name or collection especially if not marked.

    • @OlivesVintageMarket
      @OlivesVintageMarket  Před 2 lety

      Sorry for taking so long, I must have missed this comment. I have done a few videos on identifying pieces, but reference books help a lot. Especially ones such as unsigned beauties. The truth is that most pieces were signed. I know there are some pieces that were not signed such as Juliana D&E, but that just takes time and research. I am hoping to do a video on some of the unsigned pieces soon.
