Steam in the Cascade Mountains | Northern Pacific 924 at North Bend

Northern Pacific 924 is an 0-6-0 type locomotive that was built in 1899 for the St. Paul and Duluth Railroad as number 74. It joined the Northern Pacific when they bought the St. Paul and Duluth. After 25 years with Northern Pacific, 924 was sold to the Inland Empire Paper Company where it worked until it was donated to the NWRM in 1969.
