The biggest issue is no elasticity. Trying to find a "rubber like" filament that has the necessary elasticity, density as well as rebound is hard. I printed one from 95A TPU a week or two ago and while cool, no bounce. Then I thought… there are some resins that have qualities similar to what I need AND I have a large format resin printer… so the research has started and that may be the answer to the $2500 printed basketball.
Good bounce would be so awesome! I play Basketball and these guys would love it. Please TRY to get it bounce like a real one. The original is maybe printed in Nylon (PA12), so you can ask X1C to do the job.
It’s a good concept,but not for use in sports. Yet. It could be airless but still need to weigh and perform like a real leather ball. To many holes for trash to enter. 👍❤️🤙

Get a different durometer polymer...I need to see a good bounce!!!!!!
