Actually, the NES controller is the best...
I still have a Original Nintendo Entertainment System Controller & Console and I love it
I'm making Battle Royales with that NES controller
That's the best way to be like Ninja
I have a NES Controller with a short cord LOL
It has the best battery life
Jacob R why you don’t use the PS4 pro controller isn’t that better than the original PS4 controller
What about gyroscope with the switch. And no one uses the touch pad on ps4
Your name explains it all, quite alot of people use it when typing, its used in Dreams, Fortnite, Spiderman and much more
@Taus Enrico and HD rumble
@Joaquin Lopez what games are you playing?
@Joaquin Lopez 5 shooters and you use the touchpad more than the shoulder buttons? As if
@Joaquin Lopez You still play 5 shooters
The switch literally can game for 2 days
Ever Martinez mines 3 days battery life
@Bluethunder 86 Only on the joy-cons
Bluethunder 86 drift is only on joycons my dude
Its not as common as on joycons though.
So can the xbox one s controller
I would have suggested for a 3-way comparison to rank them from 1-3 in each category and then add up all the points for each controller at the end and see which has the lowest score.
10:58 You forgot Hd rumble, gyro controlles and the nfc reader for the pro controller lol
Ya the HD vibration/rumble provides so depth in feedback that it's definitely worth being listed as a category. The NFC reader can be ignored
Oskar TM and a capture button
@Fartimations lol
@Fartimations If it's not shiny and has led lights it's not for gaming
@@n4p3r0 ahem, sir I think you might be replying to the wrong person
I'm a PlayStation person but I prefer the Xbox One controller because it's more comfortable to hold but my problem with it is that it that bumper buttons feel like so bad and the PS4 bumpers (which are L1, R1) feel better
At first I didn't like the Xbox one bumpers either, but I got used to them and like them now
@Treyarch The Xbox controller I was talking about was the S version
It does feel identical to a regular one controller
That's BullShit
agreed, the bumpers, the d-pad, and I guess some could say the triggers are better, but that one is more personal preference
@@jrob0021 same for me
Was anyone else rooting for the pro controller
I was
Same
@Bluethunder 86 every controller drifts. the pro controller drifts way less than the joycons.
@Bluethunder 86 My pro controllers have never drifted compared to joycons, and also this is sort of off topic but the switch dpad feels way better and a bit more, like, satisfying.
Bluethunder 86 just put tape around the neck of the thumb sticks and than they will never drift
I prefer the Madcatz GameCube mini controller
Heheheheh
I knew another fellow user was out there
My sister always made me use that one.
I like the pokeball switch control
Say sike right now
The switch pro controller feels so good to hold. When I'm holding it I feel like my hands is getting massage
The Pro controller is really great for gameplay because the control settings is actually fair and your hand would get used to it
He really said the buttons on the dualshock were better than the ones on the switch pro controller.
Why are the pro better
@@havardandersen3593 ain't gonna lie a scuf vantage feels better than all of those I just tried pro
theres definitely better feedback from both pressing and lift off on the pro controller. Much more tactile
It's true the switch ones feel cheap

Just wait for a third party company to combine all the best parts and features of each controller :/
If they could they would do it already

and make it 30$
@@beedrillking4023 honestly it could be even regular price
@@wiktordykas5513 Yeah but knowing small companies they are not money hungry. And small companies do everything so good. So its probally a small company going to make that.
Great video! I like ps4 and xbox one controllers but gotta love the feel and battery life of the switch pro controller.
In the features section, you forgot to add the gyro capabilities. And also using it with a PC, Android, etc.
DUALSHOCK and the Pro Controller have gyro
Thanks man, just what I needed!
I'm deciding on getting 8bitdo for my dualshock to use on my switch or get a nintendo pro. I just was looking for a direct comparison to make a decision :)
Same here. I think I'll probably get the adapter since I already have a PS4 controller. Though I agree the Switch controller would be better, it's not worth all that extra money I'll have to spend.
Honestly, even though this comment was 2 years ago so there's no point in responding now, in my opinion you have to hold the switch pro controller to know if it's for you. A lot of people call it the greatest controller but it's honestly not for me, I held it and it wasn't as comfortable as a ps4 controller or even just both joy cons. But the person who's controller it was loves it so it's really just personal preference
@@yeetyeetpotatoskeet7948 I ended up getting a pro controller :) Though I like sony controllers the best in the end
For me I hate the PS4 controller for a few reasons. (I did grow up with PlayStation)
1) It's a bit small
2) It feels a bit cheap (joysticks peel off)
3) Not a big fan of the layout but as you mentioned this is more personal preference.
4) The Xbox One controller definitely feels nicer, fits the hand better and just overall has a nicer build quality.
5) Xbox Design Lab & the Xbox Elite Controller give you more customization options.
6) The touchpad and light bar feel like cheap last minute additions to fill up the space and make it look nicer.
I haven't tried the Switch Pro controller myself so I wouldn't know for sure, but the Xbox controller definitely seems to be nicer in general.
I grew up with PlayStation but agree with your points. I can use any controller just fine when needed, but Xbox one and switch pro controller are definitely preferred
I think that xbox controler is better but the ps4 has my favorite games
the one thing ps has is easier to memorize icons
Really love the Procon over the PS4 controller especially when gaming in PC using Steam
I personally like the Switch pro controllers trigger the most, because it’s the easiest one to spam-click with. For example, when I use the ink brush while playing splatoon, a dynamic trigger would be pretty hard to spam-click with.
Nice video btw
Cause they're spaced
The Nintendo switch pro controller is 100% the best controller.
i do have to agree on that part, the sticks feel very smooth.
No
@@thecatonacouch9371 yes
My swich last the whole day when charges it does no take forever but when put on airplane mode wgen chargeing it takes about in hour or 2 idk but i grew up with Nintendo so which other consle should i chose playsation or xbox
You should have done a 1-3 scale for each category. Then add up the numbers at the end
I really like the Pro' Controller's d-pad for games where it is a constant tool, like platformers and picross. The Dualshock 4 d-pad is too slow to switch from one direction to another, and it's not as comfortable for long periods because of a high actuation force and a "mushy" feel, much like the mushy feel of the pro controller's face buttons. Switch Pro's d-pad is smooth feeling yet punchy and it complimented the relaxed, airbrushed ambience of BotW well for me.
The DS4 d-pad, though, is great for action games with a fast pace where you need to quickly move your thumb from the left analog stick for movement to the d-pad to activate a skill or toggle the minimap. I use DS4 for the ARPG game Grim Dawn on my PC, and it works great because each direction is its own distinct button. It's very close to the much shorter left analog stick so you don't have to stop moving for more than a moment. Good for Dark Souls. BotW flavor and Dark Souls flavor, both a delicious controller experience every time.
exactly, nintendo d-pad is the best for games like megaman, ps4 the worst
Being a lefty that tends to be ambidextrous due to learning lots of things right handed as a child...I prefer the symmetry of a ps4 controller. I do like the xbox one triggers the best though. The switch controller being $80 makes it not as good as an xbox controller because you can have a very nice xbox battery setup for that price. I do like the simple micro usb charger system better as the cables can be found very cheaply. Now when playing super smash brothers I still prefer the Gamecube controller style oddlt enough, and I really liked the layout of ABXY on those better than any controller’s 4 buttons, but of the 3 in your contest I can smash ps4 buttons the fastest with exception to the xbox pro controller those are very nice but pricy. Still prefer the D-pad on a ps4 controller to all of them. I hate built in batteries when they go bad though its a much bigger issue. I feel like for value which is another category, PS4 wins that as well, its $10-$20 cheaper than a pro nintendo controller and priced similar to xbox one controller and you get more features. So if I only had one controller to use Id pick ps4 as my choice.
the nintendo switch pro controller is the best
Yessir
yessir
I agree
if you ranked them 1-3 instead of having winner take all, it would have a MUCH more accurate outcome. just saying
That was my first thought when I started watching this video
I have ps4 pro and xbonex, have to say that I've come to like dualshock a bit more, since xbone controller feels kinda bulky and the thumbsticks somehow "loose" after using dualshock. If only dualshock had better grip on those thumbsticks it would dominate easily. Also share and option buttons are weirdly placed, never seem to find them easily without looking at the controller. But overall, playability 9,5/10.
Sorry for late reply, you can swap out the xbox1's sticks into a ps4 controller just swapping from the analog modules. the xbox sticks feel slightly taller with a skinnier feeling neck than the default sticks in the ds4 controller, and it's overall not a bad experience if you prefer the grip of xb sticks. allows for more fine control of sticks too because of the added height
You might wanna do a comparison vs genre of games. Side scrollers ..... d pad becomes much more critical. First person-- suddenly analog is key
The dpad directions should be connected to each other because it is a pain to play 2d platformers with a separated dpad
do others got accelerometer
& gyroscope like on the switch?
Just ps4
When I make my console, the buttons are gonna have numbers instead of letters or shapes
I think shapes are the best tbh because they're far more recognisable, allowing you to learn the button placements far quicker and if you do have to look down they are far more distinguishable than X and Y for example. However, the best button placement tutorial or whatever goes to Breath Of the Wild for me, because it showed all 4 buttons with the one you have to press highlighted meaning you never had to look down. A very good idea by nintendo or whoever did it first.
The thing i like about the pro controller is the quality > quantity
There are only 4 pro controller versions (basic, xenoblade, splatoon, classic) but each one is so detailed!
The smash has the logo on the front, white handles and little smash ettchings.
Splatoon is similar. Green n pink, paint splatters and squids.
Xenoblade is the most detailed.
It has red grips AND back. It has a teal scar-like painting and a (tribal?) detail.
Not to mention the semi transparent body, that lets you see the electronic without it being so distracting. (Like the ps and n64)
The Tie Breaker is Gyro controls in the Switch Pro.
I’ve used the PS4 and Xbox controller and I’ve always liked the offset thumbsticks because it feels more natural and the PS4 layout Is still good but doesn’t feel as natural. The grips on the Xbox thumb sticks are much grippier than the PlayStation ones. Personally, I think PS4 face buttons are much better as they are flat and bigger than Xbox buttons. Xbox buttons are rounded so my fingers tend to slip off the buttons most of the time while the PlayStation ones are flat so my fingers stay on there and it’s easier to press. Xbox buttons are definitely more clicky but feel cheaper and more hollow compared to the PS4 buttons which feel more premium and solid. I like the PS4 d-pad more because it’s separated so I know what I’m clicking and won’t make any mistakes while playing games and the d-pad is a lot quieter. The Xbox d-pad is joined so I could make mistakes and press the wrong button and it’s louder and clickier. For comfort I prefer the Xbox controller because of the ergonomic shape it just falls into my palms and my thumbs on the offset sticks feel more comfortable than the PS4 controller. The PS4 controller is more rounded so it doesn’t fall into my palms and I get some strain in the parallel sticks. I’ve always preferred PlayStation bumper buttons due to the more tactile feel and in my opinion the Xbox bumper buttons are so loud and are like clicky like a mouse and it feels terrible. Triggers on Xbox are better because they’re bigger and go down a lot smoother and is easier to press down. However, I prefer the grip on the triggers on the PS4. Also, the PS4 share button is a deal breaker for me as I can easily take screenshots, record and upload clips, broadcast live streams and more with the ease of pressing the share button. The touchpad is another great addition for easier typing and is used as a button in many games and is very good. It’s clicky and quiet and Is great for claw players like me. The light bar on the PS4 controller is nice as it gives life to the controller and is good for gaming at night or it can be used as a flashlight. It does drain battery but you can bring up the quick menu and set light bar brightness to dim. I’d rather have a rechargeable battery over double a batteries or buying rechargeable batteries or a battery pack. Sony is amazing for having a rechargeable battery built into the controller but the battery life is not that good and I wish it used a USB-C port instead of Micro USB because USB-C has faster charging and I wish it had a better battery. I like the sync button on the Xbox controller to pair the controller to the console because it’s much easier then plugging in a micro-usb cable into the controller then pressing the ps button and then unplugging the cable.
That’s what I have to say about both controllers
You made a good desicion dude
My switch would start telling me that my battery is low like 7 hrs before it dies lol
Connectivity with other consoles and/or devices would be nice. Which one can be used as-it-is in PC for example?
The dualshock 4 and xbox one controller can be used on a PC.
@@sammylmao9992 also switch literly everyone can
My current gripe about ps4 controller is the lack of aerodynamic belly. This means the middle finger digs into the underbelly of the controller. Meanwhile, the xbox controller has an tapered belly which helps hand comfort.
I prefer a round surface
On the switch pro controller my pinky and ring finger tend to start hurting within a couple seconds after holding it
Uh are you holding it wrong. Cause that kinda sounds like an excuse to hate in it.
I like the Dualshock 4 but the analogue sticks are by far the worst. They just wear down so badly. Definitely need to invest in some caps for them if you have a PS4.
If only I could use the X-box controller for a PS4.....
You can buy a third party controller that looks like the xbox controller for ps4
CronusMax. Search it on Google.
you can buy a dongle and plug it into ur ps4 then pair the Xbox controller to the dongle
Get a 3rd party controller then or switch to Xbox
The switch pro be lookin like the Astro c40 ngl
i actually prefer digital shoulder buttons. GCN had analog shoulder buttons and i didn't like it, save for race games. Never been into playstation controllers since they introduced the analog sticks waaaay back when. I liked the original ps controller. Felt like a better snes controller. but the weird placement of the sticks never felt right to me.
You didn't mention that the switch pro controller has HD rumble, motion controls, and NFC, which in my opinion is more useful than the PS4 controller's features. (Although it does suck that the switch pro controller doesn't have a headphone jack, which is a major downside)
@Hillel Berenshteyn I sold my switch cuz whenever I wanted to use voice chat while in the dock I had to sit right in front of my tv.
The switch's headphone jack is on the console itself
lol just buy a wireless headphone it's more convenient at the end of the day
The switch headphones jack it's on the console
DS4 has motion controls, have speakers, have a TouchPad, have headphone jack and extra exit for other attachments like keyboard or back buttons attachment which is super useful, have a light bar which make the controller usable for playstation camera games and more importantly playstation VR and from the settings you can use it as a weird controller which lowers input lag for competitive games, that's alongside all the other standard features like rumble, so yes it has more features for sure
The touch pad can be very useful sometimes
With my ps4 controller it's lasted for 3 days (don't ask how long I was playing for)
How long you were playing?

Wireless/Wired options, make it PC compatible and firmware re-mapping and firmware emulating compatible on PC and console matching (make the pc think its a PS1/PS2/XBOX/XBOX360/XboxOne/SwitchProController/Wii-WiiU-ClassicController/Dreamcast/N64, ArcadeCompatible, emulators or change its firmware on pc to pair on actual consoles just the same)

@Gormaj Jamrog its official but not. That good
In my opinion does it really matter how the looks are I mean it still needs to look at least decent but you're not going to look at your controller all the time it's more the best type of way is how's the controller feel and how comfortable is it that's what matters in the controlleryeah it's still cool to get unlimited edition of controller it's just not as important I guess you're going to come put in the shelf

im a ps4 fan, but i do have to say that the switch controller is better than both xbox and ps4 because of how good the sticks are, the buttons, and the layout is just perfect.
Also in the "features" section, I'd like to add that the dualshok 4 is an awesome PC controller, that touchpad is a miracle, you can map it to almost everything, 3Ds/NDS touchscreen, A Mouse, or just to have more buttons the possibilities are truly infinite, but it has some issues, compatibility issues mostly, you can fix them with some work though
