Sorry for the absence in terms of videos... This video has been a bit of work, and it turned out quite a long video but I wanted to be complete! Hope this helps you guys with the Trial!

Some remarks that did not survive my edits:
- Scathing Light damage cannot be reduced with debuff artifacts/griffons!
- Weigth of Virtue hits for up to 1.7m, not 1.6m
- Vulnerability up also can be obtained in phase 4 (Olanthius and Haruman use Anthelion/Parhelion)

Rainer thx so much for such details guide and info on this dungeon! I have a question: for the easy mode Zariel, what HP amount requires in easy mode Zariel?. Is there any video guide on easy mode or not even needed since it is given as clues by the game during the trial? Tyvm

with another big changes we got in mod16 (life steal removal ...) I remember devs saying that they want for players to not get 1shot killed but to have players HP always move between empty and full HP. I guess thats very old story now when boss hits for few million dmg :D they made new content unaccesible for non-endgame players :/ I remember when this game was pleasure to play
Well, yes, I sort of agree. For this trial there are a lot of hits that will one-shot you. Especially the DPS. If you look into the open world though in solo play - yu can really see that you don't really get one-shot much anymore. So there it does work as intended I guess :-)
Making content for endgame by the way is a good thing. End-game players don't have anything left to do, where non-endgame players have to still work towards endgame so they don't necessarily need new content yet. They are not done yet with the existing content. If you make another AI mod, endgame players have literally no reason to even log in other than when they have nothing else to do ;-)
@@RainerNW I guess you are right. Solo content is easier with exeption of vallenhas which can be hard for lightly geared players. I also agree that end game players have content which is challenging for them but it is a bit sad that it is inaccessible for other players. Before, non-end game players couldn´t beat the hardest dungeons because of poor dps but now its mostly due to inability to survive (now you have to have good dps and also be tanky). I don't care if I won't have bis weapons from zariel but it bugs me that i won't be able to play and enjoy new content. It would be nice if there could be more difficulties of same dungeon/trial with worse reward in easier ones. But yeah, guess its not that bad afterall, but its not old neverwinter :)
@@RainerNW i turns the game into a pay to play/ pay to win sort of game, removing actual skill and replacing it with simply having stats or the ability to buy stats. I am an endgame player and i still don't like the shameless money grab that this game has turn into.

Yeah I’m in the same boat haha while I am level 80 my stats are no where near those. My wife and I are working through Avernus campaign but it’s a bit of a struggle in some places... Maybe in a year I’ll be ready. Maybe

@@RainerNW honestly I'm a 25.5 k il DPS with 350k HP even if I could think of ways to get my hp up there this trial I'll pass on as well. Challenging is one thing but they're ruining this game compared to what it used to be it's sad really. I remember when mods used to be fun to play and didn't force you to torture yourself in order to get a bis set. Oh well guess I'll have to wait for another set in the future because I personally don't want to enter and make any mistakes screwing the whole group.
I played a little bit around to solo Zariel Normal (25k Cleric-Healer, not for success just to look how far I come, look at the mechanics and for fun). One problem was of course the Armor Break&Judgement attack (Judgement makes on a stunned person 1.6 Billion dmg!). But I found a solution: one has to use the 'Horn of Valhalla' right before Zariel ducks down, then one get stunned, the 'Barbarian'-NPC of the Horn gets Nr 1. on the Threatlist (= gets aggro) and takes the full dmg. There are many thinkable situations this Horn might be very supportive in all kind of content (especially if more players sync and combine it with certain rings with other abilities) ...
This may be one of the best NW CZcams videos ever made.

Awesome video! How did you capture the fight in the overall point of view? It really helps to see all the people moving and not just a player's point of view.
There a way that you can record a "demo" which you can then play again. Like a video, but you can move the camera wherever you like :-)
Hey rainer I have a question that I'm hoping you could help me with. I was just browsing through the zen store and I saw rank 14 weapon enchantment/armour box. Do you know if these are bound to character, account or on equip? Btw just watch les your guide you're awesome mate and definitely deserve more subs🙂
Thanks! I don't know for sure. Most likely the enchantment will be account bound, but I haven't bought one...

Also, zariel trial has how many more mechanics than TOMM? I don't know if I wanna find out what mod 20/21's trial is gonna be. So many many mechanics it might as well be it's own game.
Pooh didn't compare - but quite a bit more. It's hard to compare the two though
TOMM had 0 new mechanics they just repeated all mechanics already in the game while locking players in a circle
Hey Rainer, am a 28.5k Paly Justicar (Ephesians Armor). Million HP (Though I dont know how I went from 950k to 1 million in the Mod update..did they change something ??) I have max stats. Any recommendations from your Paly buddies on power loadouts and artifact power for this trial? I am a week behind and haven't unlocked it yet. I just completed my first IC. I found he did fair, only died about four times; two on second boss and two times on final boss, probably because of my powers timing and movement (My xbox controller skills are weak). Wondering how he would fair in this trial.
Regarding the HP, they changed how much CON influences HP now. CON increases HP much m9re now, so as a tank you will want CON (although 1m HP is fine). As for pally builds... Just make sure to cap as many stats as you can... powerwise take hard taunts (i am not super familiar with the names but I know smite with a class feat is a hard taunt). Also make sure to use damage reducing powers so you can activate them when a big hit is incoming. But yea... Preparing someone for a trial in a comment isvery difficult :-)

What about Incoming Healing for the healers? Can you manage with 180k power without incoming healing, or what level of ICH is calculated into that power recommendation?
Have you run this with any barb tanks after the last round of updates?
I actually haven't run this trial much as of late.. not many changes but I know the barb tank got a nerf
My last run was with 2 paladin tanks (which my group usually runs with)
hi rainer do we need only 500k hp to be able to survive and finish the new trial or do we need a lot more???
To survive you would need a minimum of about 470k, but at that point if you die 1 time, you have to wipe because you wont have enough HP leftover for upcoming mechanics. So having at least 500k is very advised if you're practicing.
Just curious the feat on the HR that increases Crit Severity and minus's your crit strike by 10k, I was told recently that the -10000 is not reflected in your stat page and that you need 10k over the stat min. Was I misinformed on this ? Or were they perhaps mistaken?
The -10k IS shown on the stat page ;-)
@@RainerNW Hi also would you mind breaking down how you managed to pull that much hp as a dps. Was it drastic moves of sacrificing power for hp, or perhaps new gear? Ty
@@christopherwhite5528 that's what I just had to do. Hp was 340k it's now 445k power went down from 172k to 158k not too drastic but yeah it hit hard after evaluating a bunch of different choices on my wizard. When you get down to it 500k is just alot lol for a dps I even changed gear from the mad mage set to a belt piece with con and retrained all my dex points into constitution. That way I can take hp off if it's uneeded.
@@1000byakuya hate to say it but , 94k pwr is huge and I figured a work around. Tbh you should very much download the character builder to tinker with you stats but that sacrifice is not viable imo
@@christopherwhite5528 didn't have any other choice. Once all my things are upgraded I'll be around 185k maybe but choosing war triceratops hp stat and choosing energon and all it was gonna happen though if I do reach 500 k I'll take energon out if I can since I don't see 3% dex damage worth it compared to constitution. I notice little difference overall n much better survivability it's only 4.8 percent damage no big.
/i know now that Im not interested in stuff like this, I play in game for relax and joy not for hard work like in real life or worse.
is the 190k-200k pow requirement for dps base pow or buffed with pots and everything?
Buffed, at that point you can make it. If you have 200k base it should be fairly easy

Help, Companion damage formula? why when I unequipt my pact blade companion does Zero damage, with wooden pact blade I get X amount(low damage) Alabaster pact blade get higher companion damage, I also notice a change when I strip off gear.
Yea companion work off weapon damage and player stats indeed. I tried once to figure out the companion dmg formula with xuna but she was attacking so slowly I just fell sleep.... I might look into it at some time again ;-)

Not 100% sure.. it doesn't say. Probably devils (they look a bit like pit fiends) but yea...

Taktische sind im Moment keine Pflicht, aber man kann die nuetzen wenn man keine Darks braucht fuer Groessere Schilde

Vulnerability up debuff cannot be cleansed :-)
How To Heal How I Can See White Noise?
"White noise" is actually called Weight of Virtue and can be found at 9:00 in the video ;-) You cannot really heal it cause it's instant damage. You can only give people a shield.

Why does Cleric need 200k crit?! That's waay over the top.
Healer crit chance is determined with the ratio power to crit, for a 50% chance the crit rate should be 25% higher than power (although that's not feasible), higher is better
Zariel is demon type?
Zariel is an angel, she was redeemed during the campaign
so pretty much all console players will be at a severe disadvantage and fucked because our camera cant zoom out that far, not even remotely close to that far, yould be lucky to see a 25th of the platform on your screen looking down
