    Good morning have you used a spray sealer? The paint looks thick. Do you work on tumble stone tiles? Very pretty. Thanks Terri

    Hi Kriss - I did a couple of tiles and let them dry for a month or better. I used Liquitex Gloss Varnish and shortly after I applied the varnish the paint started to lift. I havent used resin yet, but do these HAVE to be resined.

      Laurie Kerestes to be heat safe they would need to be. If you don’t, then chances are your hot beverage cups will stick. If they are just an art piece you could certainly varnish.

    I cant find glazed tiles and bought alot of unglazed ones.
    And Im very disappointed at the result on unglazed.
    Please help me what to do.
    I tried the alcohol and lightening it up method as well.

      @liquidartebykriss550  Před 2 lety

      I’m sorry you weren’t able to find glazed. I imagine you would need to seal them with a primer so your paint isn’t soaking in to the tile.

    How thin does the paint need to be? Do you just add water to thin it?

      Laurie Kerestes did you clean the tiles before pouring? How long did you let the paint cure before varnishing?

    When I resin my coasters I nearly always get the 'orange peel' effect. What causes this please

    • @liquidartebykriss550
      @liquidartebykriss550  Před 3 lety

      It could be due to not cleaning the surface or perhaps your resin isn’t mixed completely

  • @melissaphillis7247
    @melissaphillis7247 Před 4 lety +1

    Beautiful coasters Kriss. Have you ever sprayed the silicone over after pouring, for the cells? Oh, and if you use your heat gun on the resin nipples, it should be easier to release.

      Melissa Phillis I haven’t tried spraying it in top🤔 will have to try that! Good tip on applying heat to release the resin Melissa!

      Probably floetrol (or other pouring medium) & some water.

    • @amethyst1826
