So by equipping awakening twice you get the effect of the level 3 awakening engraving which lowers the cool down of your awakening. This gives you more room to activate your 2nd awakening before your dominion buff wears off. Also this only matters in long fights like G4 Brel or HM Akkan G3 but casting awakening while in the circle doesn't consume one of your limited awakening charges you can use in a fight.
