Hours to figure these things out lol do you have your books scanned into an app? I have 1600+ books and I scan them into book buddy it’s the only way I can keep track of what I have and need! I do have my shelves pretty organized so I can find a book pretty quickly! Of course right now I am moving so all my books are in boxes but I did require my husband to box them according to bookshelf so they are Easy to unpack and reshelf lol
And it’s also best book ever written!

I think the reason for the covers on some books being narrower than the actual book is so that you can see there is a stepback (artwork on the first page) and you'll be tempted to open the book and see what's in there. Many romance novels have this, and collectors of older editions specially look for books with stepbacks, so the cover being shorter helps, I guess. Loved the video!
