This company can't find its butt with both hands anymore. The string of bad decisions over the past 7 years eclipses the late-stage Eisner era. Their whole board and leadership team needs to be replaced.
Well, Chris, that’s the glory of a publicly-traded company. I will wager you’re dirt poor but if I’m wrong, Disney voting stock is trading today at $86.19/share. Get your ass into your local brokerage firm, write a check, and ensure your opinions are heeded. In the interim, stay out of the parks because who wants to be standing behind your fetid ass while waiting for the Pirates of the Caribbean?
They current timeline/trilogy is a failure. Just look at the company as a whole. If you re-open it with original trilogy charachterd and cut the cost, it can be saved. First thing though is for Disney to clean up Lucasfilm and right the ship.
No. Immersion and story telling are irrelevant if no one cares about what you're being immersed in. No one cares about Ray and kilo. Even universal had to go back to OG harry potter for epic universe. Tear it down, it won't be missed anymore than a Motel 6 on 192. And...we get to hold it over them forever.
In that case wouldn’t you think changing the story to be original trilogy could solve the problem? Especially since we know the starcruiser exists in all eras of canon. I get what you’re saying about the sequels, but the people who did get to do the starcruiser have nothing but glowing reviews for it, they didn’t seem to mind the era. But I haven’t done it myself so I’m not sure how I’d feel personally.
@DisDrewShow GE & SC should have been OT from the beginning. They can then moderate the experience to fit the market. What the got were wealthy Disney Adults who would have spent that $$$$ on any Disney experience. I'm not going to pay $5000 to not meet Luke Skywalker. No real Star Wars fan would.
This thing was a hot mess for the rich and credit card debt people it deserved to close it was idiotic from the get go. Nobody cares about the current SW era anymore-Wake Up Disney you are killing the brand, being greedy, and this closure is huge proof! Tear it down for the max write off and remove it from my memory.
If they reopened it as a one-night experience (cheaper) and in the original trilogy era, do you think it would be successful? Personally I think the price was the biggest sticking point, so the OT couldn’t save it
It would be years before it would be destroyed.
Look how long River Country sat before it was torn down.
And it’s still not even done, just a dirt pile now haha
I get trying to cash in on an IP, but the pricing is outrageous. And the rooms look about as cheery as Leia's cell in detention block AA-23.
ONE WAY OUT! ONE WAY OUT!

It’s definitely been a challenge the past number of years. Hoping things turn around sooner than later
Don't you say that about them! They think its a hole in the ground!

It will probably sit vacant and then soon it will burn up the atmosphere in a few years later.

Price and current storyline. It could work, but not with the current trilogy, even with price cuts.
