Loved the info! Didn’t see a BIS portion for ranged hunter. Besides wowhead’s recommendations, would love an updated breakdown of it especially the weapons for it (besides the bow ofc)
Grats on 100k! Hunter has always been my favorite because of the class identity. Love everything about it besides leveling the pet.
Hunter has been my go to class since I first started playing back in WotLK but in phase 2 of SoD I got frustrated with the direction of the class (having to pick between mele or meme spell hunter to be relevant in raid) so I swapped and went Resto Druid and healed for literally my first time ever and I've come to love the class and the spec. SoD specifically has made resto healing incredibly fun with runes like lifeblood/wild growth/effo. Who knows if I'll go back to maining my hunter but this video does have me a bit hyped so I'm leveling it to 50 and giving it a go as an alt. Congrats on 100k dude!
Thank you for the guide, all info i needed is here! I really enjoy both rogue and hunter. But I kinda lean more towards mm hunter, how more complex it is. Really fun getting and trying out new runes. My main in 2004 was a hunter. I remember doing that epic bow/staff quest. Man, I can't wait for the end game content in SOD.

Feels good to see hunters going ranged again, finally more weapons for us warriors :D
But melee hunters can pump out same damage with just 2 buttons. Many will stay melee
@@remyd8767 Yes, that is the issue. Melee is braindead spec compared to ranged and still does more damage with a lot simplier rotation. Only reason to switch to MM now is the feel or trueshot aura.

Hunter is my favorite since 2007 its nice seeing a spin on classic hunter and how diverse it is in sod
Hunter is definitely best class. Best solo aoe farm, best booster. Range is best range and melee is top tier

Hunter has by far been my favourite class to play in SoD. I started in p1 as a druid because I usually always main hunter and wanted to try something different. Found myself leveling a hunter a few days before p2 dropped and have barely touched my druid since. BM in raids, MM offspec pvp and dungeons.
Just won the ST BiS bow so loving MM atm
Never played hunter before sod and having a blast with it! Definitely live the different ways they are going with it.
i have been LOVING the shot gun exo spam paladin so far in P3 and im now rolling a hunter as my 2nd character its been super fun and chill loving SOD atm havent played since P1 cheers for the videos Sarthe

Hunter has always been my main in retail and now in classic (ranged hunter to be specific). I was pretty sad when melee hunters was pumping so hard and ranged was left in the dirt during P2, but I still played ranged after I got the gnomer weapon. I started off as ranged in P3 as well and been keeping at it. Finally the wait paid off! RANGED HUNTERS ARE BACK BOYS
Rogue! Something always special about being able to pick your battles in wpvp!

Favorite class has for ever been Hunter. First 60 back in 2oo5. I tried other calsses but always come back to it. I Just love the fantasy around it the skill expression in PvP (Ranged MM ofc). And thus I am so happy tha we are back now with MM and the new runes yeweheeeee.

Hunter for sure, love the added class fantasy of being in melee with my pet in SoD like a ranger in D&D.
I was always a healing player, LK made me a main unholy dk, but I never stopped healing, in SoD I became a sick person who only plays hunter, I currently have 2 a melee and a ranged, so fking fun to play, and Of course, I always followed the guides and news on this channel, they helped me a lot with my gameplay, ty Sarthe
I have been really enjoying melee hunter. not some much because of the dmg but because of the fantasy for a long time in classic to have a melee hunter build. Great stuff.

Always played Warrior and love it, but I thoroughly enjoy my hunter in SoD!
Surprisingly rogue for me. Been enjoying the spiking of energy rather than monotonous same 20 energy ticks in same interval. Keeps it exciting with combat potency!

For my trap macro I used a cast sequence with a reset 15 for my @curser explosive and frost traps. It works great.
Pro tip for the ammo: you don't need to carry all those mithril slugs to the Incursion vendor. You can leave them in your bank (or bank & bags mixed) and still trade them.

It's nice to finally have a decent lone wolf build! For sure my fav class. Also played hunter in vanilla, tbc, wotlk.
Switched to melee hunter and having an absolute blast. Might have to think about going back to ranged but melee is where I am at right now.
100% Favorite class in SoD is Hunter. Phase 1 and 2 were definitely a bit of a roller coaster, but I feel like Hunter now is in a good spot. So happy we're not forced to play "Mana Warrior."
IMO only thing we're missing is either a Disengage, Aspect of the Turtle, or Binding Shot Rune. Praying for those at 60 :D
well my fav class is atm ele-shamy, like my warrior and r-hunter too but ele-shamy is just fun pressing lava burst to delete everything ;)

Is it possible to get only the aimed shot weak aura? Also what addon is it that puts a circle on your mouse? I assume that is to make trapping with trap launcher easier?
Best class before the hunter changes was shadowpriest for me. You actually had different buttons to press even if it wasnt alot of dmg. After playing the buffed hunter it feels like a real class again. Gratz on 100k!
In your Macro you have, /cast !Auto Shot, as far as my knowledge goes it does add a ~0.25s cast/delay time between your auto shots when you press/spam the buttons as this was "fixed" to do so due to macro abusing in tbc or did i miss something ?
I can't find something about weak aura in the description. It's that still available? I really need that aimed shot plus sniper training cooldown aura.

Tank shaman! My favorite role on my favorite class, is a match made in heaven for me. I tried tanking on era but been the main tank for my guild in SoD is just the best thing ever for me

Think its to save a global? If you precast then when it hits you can instantly press another ability. If you just use an instant aimed shot you need to wait for the GCD.
Hey Sarthe maybe a dumb question, do I always wait for auto shot to complete or is there a world where mashing double chimera into the rotation you mentioned do more dps then letting auto shots complete
I’ve been enjoying Boomkin, the fact we have spammable hurricanes & also i like the eclipse mechanic as clunky as it may seem, also BIG crits
Are we sure the blasted lands buffs stack with things like giants/mongoose? I swear I remember them not working together in classic.
Hunter is always a favorite of mine! Especially in SoD with melee being a 2 buttons braindead spec :D

Loved my rogue in phase. Switch to Hunter phase 2 and haven’t looked back!
I run serpent spread in pvp, Sniper training could work, but most of the time I find myself having to relocate way too often. Thespread rune also allows you to have a quick burst combo with multi-shot > auto attack > chimera shot

Wasn’t fully on board at first but after I saw the crazy stuff you can do I got big on Hunter. Mostly played mage in sod but now I play Hunter and mage it’s I can’t believe they buffed hunters. Fully expected another nerf as that’s the blizz mo

Priest (Shadow Priest) Reason for this is is simple. A guild mate of mine Hates PvPing SPs he cries about it all the time. It go so bad that he couldn't type in chat about it anymore and couldn't play the first week of phase 3. Weird flex. His name is Slimeseason on the Living Flame server (US).

Always rogue, love building combo points and hitting big finishers.
Normally I play shaman, but majority of the people I run with chose Alliance for Pally. So here I am loving my Melee Hunter.
