- After posting my last video about the original MK board being picky about voltage, my game started resetting. I made adjustments and this was my first game testing out if it was fixed. Fortunately, that's all it was.
This is probably my fav vid of yours so far. You really know your MK. I agree with about Kano. I felt the same way about the ninja outfits for Sub-Zero, Reptile and Scorpion when MK2 came out, but I got used to them after falling in love with MK2. Goro used to scare the hell out of me in MK1, lol. I've seenpeople playing as Shang Tsung in MK. And you're sweet with those combos. Your cab is so nice. I always wanted one, but they were like $5k, and gigantic, lol. Now they're selling them cheaper at like pizza places and roller rinks that are sadly going out of business because most people are playing on consoles, PC or Arcade 1Up Cabs. I didn't know they were turning Kano into Mr. Clean in the new MK1 game 😅 That's disappointing to hear. I'm trying to go in blind. And I know what you mean about the satisfaction of finally pulling off a fatality in MK. I always had trouble, but it was so rewarding once you finally did. Now they hand them out like participation trophies. Great vid, man.
Exactly, and it meant you remembered it. To this day, she'll randomly say "Down, Forward, Back, Back, High Kick" even though she hadn't played the game in years.
@GlaciusXL That's like remembering the blood code for MK1 on the Sega Genesis when I was a little kid.

I'm a huge MK fan from back in the day when the cabinets were released when i was in high school. I just have the Mame versions now, and getting into playing them again after all these years having a break from gaming all together. I plan to do some more play throughs soon on my channel. Only done a couple MK1 so far. Keep up the good vid bro

@@GlaciusXL Thanks bro I have been playing MK on my mame emulator so have a few videos I will be uploading today. Using a gamepad controller just ain't the same as the arcade sticks though but I will get better at it. 👍
@@budgetechgadgets Do you have a 6 button fight pad? Or is it a 4-face button controller?

@@budgetechgadgets Gotcha. So it's still playable but yeah, some things are a lot more awkward. Like charging LK and still easily pressing other buttons.

Cool! Lol that fatality with kano and the heart over his head. Dude ive never been able to get to reptile. I have tried a few times and there literaly is no way. Well except ive seen it done like on youtube.
The first issue is that the silhouette NEVER flies over the moon on the first time on the PIT, so when I fire up the arcade, it's never even a possibility on the first play through. You really need to get to the Pit around 6 times (give or take). So, it was a bit more likely to happen at the arcade proper. The setup I use is to get to the pit, if there's no silhouette, press start on 2p which takes you straight to the courtyard and keep trying. I have a video on here where I go to Reptile by fighting Johnny Cage and crouching and catching him with Roundhouse over and over for the Double Flawless. It's definitely a lot to do. But it was incredibly satisfying to do back then.

I like playing street fighter 2 the movie. I got it on emulation. Its pretty cheesy and doesnt play totally right but its fun. You can do some killer combos on it and make them go on for a while. Ive pulled off some crazy ones on there.
I actually own the STREET FIGHTER : THE MOVIE jamma board. Everyone dunked on it (and granted it is cheesy) but it's fun. I got it for $50 years ago. (Who's laughing now eBay?) There are a lot of moves you never saw in SF proper. Like Vega can throw his mask, ChunLi can throw her bracelets. And you can juggle like crazy. The HOME versions on Saturn and PlayStation were completely different games. I still need to make a proper kick harness for it. It's really weird. It's got two completely different spots with 3 pins, THOSE are for the kick buttons instead of it being like other boards with a row of pins for KICKS for both players. So I could never have kicks working for both players at once. I'll look into addressing that and maybe make some videos on it.
Lol My friends and I are the community for SFTM Arcade Edition actually. We usually stream brackets for it and are currently building the wiki.
There is a lot if wild stuff going on under the hood in that game and you can get pretty nuts with the combos and stuff. A lot of people don't give it a fair shake.

@@GlaciusXL yeah it's wild. It plays like a completely different game than traditional street fighter. I think that's where a lot of people stumble with it.
@@FlynnJeux Yeah, it was closer to playing like an MK game with how you could juggle the opponent. Ill have to hook it up soon, it's probably been a decade since I've played it.
Have you ever been able to get to Ermac?
He's not in the arcade of MK1. The name ERMAC is in the menu but it was an Error counter. They added him in a modded version of MK on the Genesis though.
@@GlaciusXL Originally there was a photo someone took of MK1992 game with "ERMAC WINS" in it, which started the whole folklore, just wondered if it was achievable
