    Still working my way through the video and I'm learning a lot! I would love to see the sources to the stats used though. For ex at 18:43 the stats are averages for stuff that is very customer specific. The data means almost nothing because of the project specific time frame and business size that there is no evidence of being taken into account. Just offering some feedback but thank you for taking the time to upload this!

    • @ivyprotech
      @ivyprotech  Před 5 lety +1

      @Rebecca R The parameters such as cost and implementation time vary significantly when customer does a lot of customization, so we also included the statistics on the percentage of customers that do almost zero customization to extreme customization for each of the ERPs. This should give a fair idea on how these figures can vary for each ERP depending on the percentage of customization that is usually required. This information is collated by studying various reports published by different consulting firms. One example is the "Clash of titans" report by Panorama Consulting.

    Hi,
    I want to learn ABAP, but our Basis administrator has convinced the higher-ups that allowing access to SE38 is a bad idea since there is a slim possibility that the PROD environment could be negatively affected by someone "toying around" with the ABAP editor in QA or DEV. This full-lockdown approach ensures that there is a 0% possibility of corruption, but I think it's somewhat overkill. What is your take on the full-lockdown approach? Do you think there is a clear and present danger of corrupting PROD data by developing and running some simple ABAP routines in QA? Could you provide me with some good evidence to support my argument that this door should be opened to those with development experience?
    If I am unable to convince people here that SE38 access is mandatory for training, how on earth am I going to learn ABAP?

      Even though this video is uploaded in 2017, the course is regularly updated to include any new changes released by SAP that are relevant to ABAP. The information discussed in this video is relevant even for today.
