    🥑🍓🥦🍉🍋 INGREDIENTS 🥔🥚🍫🧁🎂🍰
    24 Oreos
    4 oz softened cream cheese
    12 oz white candy melts
    2 tbsp candy melting aid (to thin out candy)
    Melted Semisweet chocolate for decorating
    Cake pop sticks
    📃📄📃📄📃INSTRUCTIONS 📃📄📃📄📃📄
    1. Place the Oreos into a food processor and pulse them on high speed until they get down to fine crumbs.
    2. Then add in 4 oz of softened cream cheese and pulse it again until it resembles a smooth and fudge-like texture.
    3. Now place the Oreo mixture into a large bowl and begin scooping out cake balls. I like to use a cake pop former for this step.
    4. Once you’ve got the right size down, place the cake ball into your hands and shape it into a smooth round ball.
    5. You’ll want to place the Oreo cake balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for about 15 minutes.
    6. In the meantime, place about 1/4 cup of white candy melts into a microwave-safe bowl and melt the candy melts in the microwave.
    7. Now dip the end of a cake pop stick into the melted candy melts and insert it about halfway through each cake pop.
    8. Then place the cake pops back in the freezer for 5 minutes to let the cake pop stick set.
    9. Now place 12 oz of white candy melts into a large bowl and melt it in the microwave in 20-second intervals. Then add 2 tbsp of candy melting aid and mix it in with a whisk. This will help thin out the candy melts.
    10. Pour the thinned candy melts into a narrow cup and begin coating your cake pops. You’ll want to do this in one fluid motion. Don’t swirl the cake pop around. Once you got your cake pop coated in the candy melts, tap your wrist to let all the extra candy melts drip off.
    12. Now insert the cake pops into a styrofoam block and drizzle some melted semi-sweet chocolate on top.

    Hi!!! I live in a place in the world where candy melts are not available in the store but they are available online but they take weeks to arrive because of COVID 19 so I want to use white chocolate is that a good idea and should I add anything to it?
    Stay safe everyone
    And thank you for the demonstration!!

    • @SimplyHomeCooked
      @SimplyHomeCooked  Před 4 lety

      You can technically use white chocolate instead but be very careful with melting it in the microwave. It has a low burn point so it can scorch very easily.

    • @SimplyHomeCooked
      @SimplyHomeCooked  Před 2 lety

      Hi :) I actually use white candy melts and not white chocolate. White chocolate is hard to work with for cake pops. You can use normal chocolate but it is a little harder to work with then candy melts. You may have to thin it out with vegetable oil. Hope that helps :)

      I have not tried using that substitute for this recipe so I can't say how it will turn out. Technically you don't want to use cream cheese spread in place of the cream cheese in blocks. However, it isn't a large amount in this recipe. Again not sure how it would turn out. Hope that helps.

      Hi, technically you can. However, Oreos have frosting in them that help them hold together better and have that consistency. You would just have to adjust the quantity of frosting to get a similar consistency. Hope that helps and please let me know how it goes :)

      Technically yes. You can place the Oreos in a zip loc bag and crush them with a rolling pin to really fine pieces. Then you can mix in the cream cheese with a spatula or clean hands. It will take a little longer though. Hope that helps :)

    • @SimplyHomeCooked
