Wow, looked this up today on my son’s birthday, am so happy I found it, haven’t heard it in decades. His dad and I used to sing this song to him when he was a baby. Born in 1981. ❤ Beautiful song and we loved that show.
These guys made the 80s magic with all other great things that also happened at the time im glad i was part of it bless em all thankyou guys love and fame will live for ever xx
It is so nice to read comments where people think exactly the same as me, no one can understand these songs unless they were there at that time, listening, again and again, wathcing and crying of joy, the joy to see these young dancers being happy with hardly anything
Fame was the most magical series on tv in the 80s I’m so proud of to have watched and loved it every inch, 😢❤️🫶🏻 52 yrs and truly blessed and thankful 🙏
Ohhhhhhhhhh sweet Lord I have a lump in my throat...such an ethereal, yet child-like heartfulness. This is truly what life is about. I would want this played at my wedding.
One of Lee's best vocal performances. This is pop music but intelligent pop music, well played, well sung, with interesting chord changes and a great melody. How come no one's doing stuff like this today?
I'm still waiting!! Just couldn't afford the tickets sadly!! Do you think they will ever reunite again?? I stopped watching after Lee left the show so didn't know a few of the people in the last reunion!! But just to see Lee, Carlo & Valerie would be enough!!!
This Show WAS AND ALWAYS BE AMAZING!!!! This was one of my favorite songs from the show. Plus I had a crush on Bruno. If you notice though it's very similar to "Rainbow Connection".
This is the first song I ever heard. My dad sang it to me and my siblings the first time he held us. I cry listening to this song and I don't even remember when it happened. :)
Que maravilla saber que tantas personas aun tenemos guardada en nuestros corazones esta maravillosa serie, habia respeto, amor y tantas otras cualidades que hoy estan perdidas.
The character of Bruno (and the actor) always reminds me of John Rubenstein (a composer, songwriter, actor...played Jeff on the 70s show called Family and also wrote both scores for that show)
i had the Kids from Fame album with this song on it. It's one of the few songs that I can remember all of the words to :) Watching this episode yesterday, it dawned on me that Lee's voice is similiar to a Jazz singer named Michael Franks whose most familiar hit would be a tune called, "the Lady wants to know". Look it up and tell me what you think.
Yes, Michael Franks! I had totally forgotten about him! You are so right! I actually see that you posted this 11 years ago! It's now 2022. Amazing. He does sound like him!
Man, I lived for Thursday nights in the early 80s when I was in Hi School. I remember when this episode was on, I had my little portable tape recorder held up to the TV so I could record this, and then I got the album for Christmas. Later on when I got a keyboard, I practiced how to play it. Sadly, I haven't played for years, and really rusty now. But this song (along w/ Be My Music), is my favorite. Thanks for the music and memories, Lee. I love you!
Lee Curreri wow.. Someone that talks back! What a star..I LOVED FAME and ALL OF YOU.Amazing to have had you all before my teens.Set me off into performing arts through many years.Never reached my goal but loved every class, show, recording , exam.I needed it all.THANK YOU.Must have been so much fun for u all.Going to buy the box set on line right now! lol :)
Sei davvero Lee?Non mi prendere in giro te ne prego.Io ho studiato Teatro grazie al cartone Candy...non mi prendete in giro e....Fame.Il mio mondo,il mio dolcissimo e forte sogno
I remebered the big supposed romantic rivalty between Coco and Miller, for Bruno. It's a shame that Doris and Bruno didn't have a proper story. I was hunger for them. I think at the end he said to Miller, until now, you didn't know you were a composer.
@leecurreri WOW!!! I told my dad that you replied to me. At first he thought I wasn't telling the truth. Thanks for taking the time out to do that! Oh and I love your hair!
Greensleaves was sung to me....and I cherish the memories....but this is the song I will sing to Melanie Anna....and I hope she will cherish it too... :)
could any of you that are desparate to buy season 3 on dvd like me,please e-mail 20th century fox and beg them nicely to do so,i am desparate to watch the first 2 episodes, the one when brunos dad dies
This is horrible! This poor boy cannot sing! The show was great but this actor CAN'T SING! I know the character was supposed to be a shy keyboardist. I just listened to Sho Sho Shorofsky, it was equally as bad. The guy is off-key and splitting my ears! Stick to what you know Currieri! I"ve never watched the film but I watched this religiously back when. I was a lot more forgiving as a kid. Don't understand the ths u. here but I don't doubt, if we could see them, this has over 10,000 dislikes. It's that bad. The series was great, except when they assigned singing to the talentless as here. What next, he's gonna be dancing for us? LOL! I don't even know if it's the actor singing or if he played the keyboards iRL but this is AWFUL! It had to be said because there's a lot of deafs on here and I had to sign on to say this.
Wow, looked this up today on my son’s birthday, am so happy I found it, haven’t heard it in decades. His dad and I used to sing this song to him when he was a baby. Born in 1981. ❤
Beautiful song and we loved that show.
So much heart in this series...honesty, patience, humiliity, grace, perserverence, and HEART / LOVE....I am so lucky this was on TV when I was a kid.
I remember when this first aired….and here it is 40 years later and still remember this song. That’s how I know it was some good stuff! I loved FAME
These guys made the 80s magic with all other great things that also happened at the time im glad i was part of it bless em all thankyou guys love and fame will live for ever xx
Lee Curreri is such an amazing talent. I loved this song more than any other. I still cry everytime I hear it.
Yes I understand, I still cry too, and will until the end of my life. These songs are engraved in my heart
Takes me straight back to being a kid...and it's still perfect.
One of the sweetest songs ever made. I so love this song and episode. My childhood ❤️
My absolute favourite song from The Kids From Fame... Bruno Martelli shaped my future.
Always loved this song and after almost 30 years it still has the same effect on me..
me too
Absolutely
so glad people still understand that this is what real music is!
such a huge part of my childhood.
It is so nice to read comments where people think exactly the same as me, no one can understand these songs unless they were there at that time, listening, again and again, wathcing and crying of joy, the joy to see these young dancers being happy with hardly anything
I remember this song. It still gives me goosebumps. So touching.
I am totally overwhelmed by emotions I haven't experienced in nearly 4 decades. Thanks to whoever posted this.
me too...i share your feelings
Fame was the most magical series on tv in the 80s I’m so proud of to have watched and loved it every inch, 😢❤️🫶🏻 52 yrs and truly blessed and thankful 🙏
54 here ^^ and yes you are right...but no DVDs for the whole series
53 and so nostalgic savoring memories of this series and its characters and ... oh, its music!
Wow Erica is like still in 1982 with that youthful excitement. Terrific clip
This Show was and always be amazing foever.🎼🎶🎹🎤💯👋 Greetings from Aleksandra, Zagreb, Croatia 🇭🇷❤️😊
Ohhhhhhhhhh sweet Lord I have a lump in my throat...such an ethereal, yet child-like heartfulness. This is truly what life is about. I would want this played at my wedding.
I've always loved this song and I plan to sing it to my first granddaughter this fall
I had such a big crush on Bruno.
Me too!
I did too, this song is so beautiful
OMG me too. Still do lol
yup. Me too! Dreamt about him at least twice a week as a teenager!!
I think Julie was my first crush of my life. I was 6 years old 😜
One of Lee's best vocal performances. This is pop music but intelligent pop music, well played, well sung, with interesting chord changes and a great melody. How come no one's doing stuff like this today?
We no longer cherish the simple things.
Perché è difficile,ci vuole tempo pazienza e stile.Ora una tastiera elettrica due accordi e via
Basi registrate e la musica è bella che seppellita
He still is!! 🙂
Agreed 👍 You are right about the chord sequences.
Woooooooooo. Saw Lee Curreri and Valerie Landsburg sing this LIVE last Sunday in Liverpool. It was bloody ace!🤗
I was there too! Cried through about 90% of the show lol...waited 37 years for it!
I'm still waiting!! Just couldn't afford the tickets sadly!!
Do you think they will ever reunite again??
I stopped watching after Lee left the show so didn't know a few of the people in the last reunion!! But just to see Lee, Carlo & Valerie would be enough!!!
you lucky dog ...
This Show WAS AND ALWAYS BE AMAZING!!!! This was one of my favorite songs from the show. Plus I had a crush on Bruno. If you notice though it's very similar to "Rainbow Connection".
Lee Curreri🌹 should get a Million bucks for this tune that I carried in my heart thru a (challenging) to say the least adolescence.🙏
This is amazing my favourite Brono that voice is wonderful
This is the first song I ever heard. My dad sang it to me and my siblings the first time he held us. I cry listening to this song and I don't even remember when it happened. :)
Que maravilla saber que tantas personas aun tenemos guardada en nuestros corazones esta maravillosa serie, habia respeto, amor y tantas otras cualidades que hoy estan perdidas.
I find this song comforting
this is the song that he wrote for his cousisn's baby. Bruno was an only child. I love this song.
thank you Lee...from the bottom of my heart....
My favorite "Fame" song - brings back so many memories, especially of that live album of all the Kids From Fame.
Gosh this song has been running through my mind all week. I miss this show.
The character of Bruno (and the actor) always reminds me of John Rubenstein (a composer, songwriter, actor...played Jeff on the 70s show called Family and also wrote both scores for that show)
This is my favorite song from the TV show "Fame"
SERIOUSLY?? Ohmygosh... I would love to see these again. It's only been, oh 25 years since I've seen them :)
This was the one song that has stayed with me since it originally aired. Bruno was my favorite, even from the movie.
zoyabook I agree with you 100% we need proper shows in tv. More so now than ever before.
"The lovers...the dreamers...and me"
🎉🎉born again 😊😊

You are very right about the similarities. Funny enough, I have s lot of Michael Franks music and never made the connection.
I had the album too. Loved it. I wore it out.
Yes, Michael Franks! I had totally forgotten about him! You are so right! I actually see that you posted this 11 years ago! It's now 2022. Amazing. He does sound like him!
I get real emotional when I hear real music 🎶
They were actually amazing together...
i don't think that you can re-create Fame now.
Beautiful. So beautiful.
Can't wait to post this song tomorrow when my neice/nephew is born...brings a tear every time I hear it...but tomorrow....well.... :)
This song is so beautiful !!!

I remebered the big supposed romantic rivalty between Coco and Miller, for Bruno. It's a shame that Doris and Bruno didn't have a proper story. I was hunger for them. I think at the end he said to Miller, until now, you didn't know you were a composer.

Sounds like a Michael Franks song
Relentless
You are absolutely right
Was this show like Glee?
No, "Glee" is like this show. :)
I liked the show, but none of the cast. Could carry a tune in a bucket..😝
This is horrible! This poor boy cannot sing! The show was great but this actor CAN'T SING! I know the character was supposed to be a shy keyboardist.
