- First time out of the driveway, since multiple hurdles with front suspension. lol. 3 years to get this far. Drives different and easier with rack. Hard to judge 137+ mph. 5 year old engine still runs strong.

Cops - “them mufflers are too loud!”
Car owner - “impossible! It doesn’t have any mufflers…”😂
Nice ride!
Sounds awesome!😎
Those are great lines, I did have my license, registration and insurance cards. 😉
@@DragBoss351Cleveland Had your slave papers, huh?
@@Anarchy-Is-Liberty Yes i do, but just realized license is expired. Go to the BMV, and they cannot process any license renewal, that was Saturday, went to APD yesterday to make video, and forgot to go to BMV😶
You had the choice of doing what “they” have trained us to do, or doing videos to document your amazing accomplishments. You made the right choice ✌🏻🇺🇸🏁
@danielwilson6665 Hell Yeah! I learn from my mistakes. 😉
Thanks for the ride along, be sure to take us down the track every now and then!
I sure will, inside and outside views.
Sounds Bad Ass Tim!
Murica F'Yeah 🇺🇸
Bob Glidden approves this message!
Appreciate the rocking words. I think he would love to see it. Rip Bob G
Yes! Absolutely nothing like the sound of your Halstead built Ford Boss Cleveland engine 😁 i pray the girls keep and race it for decades to come. Thanks!
Right on my brother. You get it. I hope they will too. Alaina said she needs ear phones to ride in it. lol. DBG 👍🏁
@@DragBoss351Cleveland Tim from the early days of our discussions, you were hopeful for your daughters to get seriously involved with Drag Racing. At first they just seemed casually interested. But just look at them now. You’ve given them hands on experience and they are enjoying the excitement that surrounds Dads racing endeavors.
The smiles upon their faces and twinkle in their eyes tells the rest of the story.
They are clearly digging the whole scene, thanks to you my friend 🏁
@danielwilson6665 you are so right. I have noticed it too these past few weeks. They even said the noise and smells, Izzy said she loves the smell of race fuel and alcohol with the scent. We will see how it goes and be grateful for every second. Mrs. DragBoss is getting excited about the 69. Lots going on. And even more on the next episode for DBG 💯 real, real family. Glad your here for the journey
@@DragBoss351Cleveland From the time your darling daughters first began appearing in your videos right up to now, I’ve watched their level of enthusiasm change from easily distracted to a genuine WOW IM REALLY DOING THIS THING AND ITS TOTALLY AMAZING !
In 1963 my first time at the strip was to watch big brother compete in a 426 wedge powered Dodge. The same sensations your daughters are now enjoying, took me by storm at the tender age of 9. The constantly changing aromas of high octane leaded gasoline, the occasional sharp twinge of nitro along with mellow sweetness of methanol had a hypnotic effect in the pits. The roar at the starting was an amazing blend of blown 392 HEMI’s and the powerful big and small blocks of the day.
By 1964 I was hopelessly hooked and big brother put me on the lifelong path of winners by switching to the legendary Ford 427 High Riser powered ‘64 Fairlane Thunderbolt. That’s how lifetime memories are born. The people and places are long gone now.
That’s how I know how important it is to have the whole family playing together at the drags. The moments build a bond of family love and cherished memories for a lifetime. Savor these moments Tim. You already know how quickly time passes by. It’s a pleasure to be along for the journey.
Love the in car view! Takes me back to when I was 18! Please do more like this!
Now that I have the right camera mount 👍👍
@@DragBoss351Cleveland nice brother. well i saw over 8000rpm at the 4:25 mark. Sounds great. When will you see track time?
@nova467spanker thanks Matt, appreciate it. Yeah went on the limiter, 7800. 19th if all go well
What a car! That response 👌The sound of a highly strung N/A motor is hard to beat!
Thanks so much. Yes, only 13.3 but enough to make you smile.
I hear the cougar saying, ‘c’mon, man, stop teasing me!!! I wanna go to the track and LET LOOSE!!!!’ 😊😊😊😊
It really is. Have had so many hurdles to get through to get her. Engines 5 years old and yes wants to rip it bad. 🏁
That car will keep your arteries cleared out LOL very nice
And your adrenal glands working. Thanks,
glad to see thw cougar on the street and sounding great!
Thanks vrm, yes it sure is. Get used to steering a bit and a bit more and go for it.
Gota love the 351c
Sure do, have that sound.
Only 769...... Man she sounds crisp and acts accordingly. Awesome car. I know it's been a long road getting here but it was definitely worth it. 👍👍👍
Yes, 775 with a dominator and Scott cook intake. Yes she runs well, will sit and idle with no loading up and crispy too. Thanks Lee
Just listening to that Cougar run you know she's an animal.
I love old Ford's.
I'm pissed that we don't get to see the outside of it though.
There are plenty of outside vids, working n a quick in from when I went to get an alignment. See outside plenty.
You would totally be my favourite nieghbour !!👍
Right on, I like to warm it up 160 shut it off and let it sit heat sink a bit.
Sounds like my Cleveland from back in ‘ 83 when I was 17 love it keep posting please !
Working away on more cool vids, thanks Jeff
Appreciate the ride along, car is Healthy! Music to my ears.💯
Short and sweet. Very healthy. Try another one soon, before I hit the track.
Back in the 80s, had dad's 1973 mustang given to me.
2bbl. 351C. Only changed to 500cfm Holley 2bbl., 3.50 traction loc, slicks.
She went 14.5s all day at Maple Grove in Pa.
Maybe it was 1971 now that I think about it.
That sounds like a great time back in the day, with what you were running.
Sounds so freaking rowdy! Love it!
Definitely rowdy. I love it too. Thank you.
Nice to see you get the cougar out and stretch it's legs.
The Cleveland might have been asleep for a while, but it's awake now, sounds great. Can't wait to hear it do a 7000 RPM run. ( or more )
Yes sure feels good. She is awake and hungry. I can’t wait to hear it at 8200 going across the stripe. 🙏
Sounds Awesome Tim! She rpm’s quick!
Thanks Darby, yes she does, nail it 🏁
Construction crew looked to have no reaction but I sure did. Nothing runs like a Cleveland and they sing such a unique song.
They sure do, I was going to go by them, but they are taring the roads. Have to go the other way next time. Nothing sounds like a Cleveland
The sound of a healthy Cleveland is a symphony to my ears, but this kitty is ready to pounce😂
Damm I am jealous.
Dam straight, pounced it did.
Wow Tim, it sounds great and revs super quick!
Thanks Kent. Agreed, Sure hits the rev limiter fast
Sounds phenomenal Tim! I love me some Cleveland power! Great ride along video! Hope you and your family had a Happy Easter!
Thanks Mr. Will, love the sound of screaming Cleveland. Yes we did, thanks hope yours was awesome. Spring has sprung.
@@DragBoss351Cleveland Yessir 👍👍👍
That's Awesome. That Cleveland be getting it.
Thanks Steve, glad your digging it.
Bet that felt good Tim? Explosive Clevland, nice one man.
Sure did and to be able to steer and turn without damage to tires and now alignment is good to race. Cheers
But don’t say explosive Cleveland. YIKES ! Heaven forbid such a fate 😳
@danielwilson6665 lol, just an adjective my friend. Not a noun, lol
@@DragBoss351Cleveland Now that’s what I’m talking about, my friend LOL. And seeing how little effort was required for making those turns,
the linkage and R&P steering upgrades are working really well 🏁
@@danielwilson6665 Maybe not the best choice of words!
I love the sound of a Cleveland in the morning.
It sounds like….VICTORY 🏁
Yes sir it does. A victory for me any way I look at it.
Sounds real good 👍🏼
Thank you so much. 😊
Hey DB, keep forgetting to mention how cool ( and practical) your install is of the 5 guage center cluster. That entire center dash layout looks neat, clean and professionally done. Sometimes that stuff is challenging in terms of not junking up and otherwise beautiful interior 😂 You hit a home run with yours, and the camera is brilliant too. In closing, I was going to comment on the engine sounds...........BUT THEY CLEARLY SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES 😂😂😂👍😾. Take care DB.
Thank you Bob. I do love that little set up. Made it out of cardboard and then aluminum. Fits perfect. Thank you. Yes both cam to video and back up cam great idea for sure. Love the sound, louder the better.
Thanks man I needed that...
Thank you. Hope it helped.
@@DragBoss351Cleveland More than you know.
@brianb5779 there it is. I been at this for 5 years. Trust me, now is the time….
The faux downshifts add to its character. Badass ride!
Right on Cryo
So great to see the Cougar prowling around! Awesome video Tim! Love the Cleveland Crackle! DBG for the win!!!
Hell yeah, walk softly and carry a big stick. DBG 🏁❤️
That cat is ready to pounce. Incredible work you've done I truly am jealous. God bless
Thanks Iggy, amen. Need those blessings, Thanks 🙏

Thanks very much appreciated. You need to listen to live chats with Darin Morgan, we cover a ton of great info.
@@DragBoss351Cleveland will do
Watched this at full volume right before bed. Now i wont be able to sleep. Its okay though. I will just watch it when i wake up to get me movin! 😎👍
Good night enjoy in am.
Sounds awesome
Hell Yeah!
Sounds amazing. Definitely a man's motor
Yes sir, no wimps need to apply. lol
Nope, no negative attention, to be attracted here, from neighbors etc.. Not that I ain’t done worse.
If you’ve got ignition switch separate from the starter, might try cranking, with ignition off, till it’s up to speed, then switch on the ignition.
As that way you’re not cranking against the timing.
How’s it driving now? Alignment done yet?
Good to see it rolling under power.
Thanks for sharing, Tim
I do have a separate but don’t use it. It only cranks hard, battery needs to be charged. It is 11 years old. Timing locked at 32. Drives better, race alignment done. Drives well, need to get used to it.
Sounds tough as 💪
Looking forward to the next video 👍
Thanks Sean. Heads and intake by Darin. Get used to driving again. Cheers mate
Sounds absolutely fantastic ..congrats .
Thanks, hard to hear the radio, oh wait that’s why, don’t have one. 😉
Brand new subscriber here just found your channel 130 seconds ago. That car sounds badass I cannot wait to see the exterior
I just put up a video of loading car to take for a race alignment. Go way back and see it racing. Thanks for the sub, appreciate it.
Thanks for this video! Makes me wonder how my grandpa felt ripping his 70’ Mach 1 428 super cobra jet around back when he was in his teens!
He felt like the man.
@@DragBoss351Clevelandhe always says “who’s the man?!” “I’m the man!” Wild man! Sweet car.

Damnit Man that Cat sounds Pissed Off....I Love It ‼️👍👍
Thank you, thank you very much 😉
that beast sounds amazing
Thanks my brother
This made me finalize my decision to do that muffler delete on my big cam vette this Summer 😂
For sure cut outs would be even cooler. Push the button and rip and roar.

Amen to that Bill. I do KTF, that all is well. Been a long time coming. Will test her again when weather deems. Feels good to be back in the saddle.
LOVE the SNAP in that cleveland, sounds AMAZING !
Snap, crackle, pop. Thanks much mate 🇦🇺

Nope, only DragBoss.
Cool ride man. I like how the motor lopes...it sounds extremely healthy and more than ready to WORK. "Blue Oval Preferred"
That’s what I’m talking about. Love the lope and will just run with no loading up. Yes Blue Oval all the way

Thanks my friend, 🏁
Love that sound!! Will be interesting to see how she goes on the track.
Your telling me, not down the track in 5 years, 🙏 thanks Greg
Thanks for the ride !!
Your welcome. Thanks much
Damn. If feels so damn good to hear a Cleveland again! Thank God you had a awesome mic on that camera. Know the pain....it just gets more complicated with injected cars....Im on my 6th time taking the engine out of the car on my 03 Mach 1....
That I cannot imagine. I had to take trans out after installing, because I forgot a snap ring on output shaft of transmission. Front end 3 different revisions. Can only imagine yanking engine 6 times.
I turned it up just a bit to hear that beauty and thought I was just so into imagining I was there I was feeling it then realized my phone was actually vibrating with the car that's crazy awesome I literally was able to feel the engine
Watch this and smell the fuel and rubber.

Thats Awesome. That Cleveland be getting it.
Hell yeah Steve
THAT SHISTUFF WAS AWSOME
Thanks Gregory
Sounds awesome mate love it. Cool tip not sure if it’s your thing but I clocked all of my gauges so the needle is pointing straight up at operating temp, so I just need a quick glance and and if all the needle’s are pointing all good.
Thanks mate. They been that way for 20+ years. I know them well. I like that I can see them on replay. Cheers
I also like the “full sweep” dial gauges for the increased accuracy of the needle movement 🏁
Sound incredible Tim. Doesn't look like your steering returns to center very well. Caster?
Can only get 2 1/4 degrees of positive caster. At this point not that bad.
Boy I love that Cat! By the way, Tim what intake gaskets do you recommend for a 1970 Boss 302? Mine are leaking antifreeze all over the place! Got coolant in two cylinders!
I have good luck with plain gaskets, no printo seal. That does suck bad, such a mess. Good luck
Nice little Totenkopf on the centerconsol
Funny people seem to recognize that guy
Sounds amazing what a asphalt ripper
Ripping and tearing and spit out the pieces
The music of my people
Mine too, agreed 💯
You got a lot more self control than me my friend i would be to tempted to tear it up and let the motor sing, sounds tough
We’ll have not really driven car much after Getting steering figured out. So don’t need to be the hero. Thanks David.
Sounding good!
Right on Jeff
@@DragBoss351Cleveland Cleveland singing a song is the best sound!
@jeffjarquin5600 oh fa la la la
It sounds like it will run high 8s low 9s IF you can get any traction which should be difficult considering the animal of a motor that it clearly has. Find yourself some massive rear slicks for it.
By the way, im super curious about your cam. Solid Roller? Lift? Duration? The sound is so good, id like to use the exact same cam on a stroker Windsor build....
Thanks for the ride along!
Well the best it ran before build was 9.66, best 60 was 1.27. The 10.5 fit and work well. I do love the sound, very cammy. Solid roller, .744/.727, 273/284@.050. Thanks Robert.
