কোলাখাম তার অপূর্ব নিসর্গ নিয়ে তৈরি পর্যটকদের স্বাগত জানাতে। চোখ মেললে সামনে দেখবেন ছাঙ্গে জলপ্রপাত আর তুষারধবল কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা। কোলাখাম থেকে যে রাস্তাটি চলে যাচ্ছে লাভার দিকে, তার প্রায় গোটাটা গিয়েছে নেওড়া ভ্যালি জঙ্গলের ভিতর দিয়ে। সন্ধেবেলা কোলাখাম থেকে দেখবেন আলো ঝলমলে রিশপ। মনে হয় অন্ধকার পাহাড়ের গায়ে অজস্র উজ্জ্বল হীরকখণ্ড। ছাঙ্গে জলপ্রপাতের উদ্দেশ্যে যেতে হবে ঘন জঙ্গল চিরে। কানে আসবে জলপ্রপাতের প্রবল গর্জন। ৩০০ ফুট উঁচু থেকে ঝাঁপিয়ে পড়ছে জলধারাটি। যদি হোমস্টের বারান্দায় গা এলিয়ে বসে থাকেন, তবুও ঝকঝকে নীল আকাশের গায়ে চকচকে কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘাকে দেখে চোখ জুড়িয়ে যাবে।
