Of course this video is five years old. Listening when you retract the ramp, I can hear the ramp motor still running after the ramp is fully retracted. There might be a damaged gear, a loose fastener, or a worn part. The ramp motor should not be running after the ramp completely stows.
Ours turned out to be the main bushing was worn causing the ramp to catch a little which made it think there was a finger or something, so it stops automatically. They replaced the worn bushing and it has been fine since.
HELP! i have a similar problem on my 2015 Grand Caravan, recently purchased as used from owner. Of course it all worked fine when we bought it. Ramp issues ever since. I am the wheelchair user and the driver, and I can't go anywhere without the remote access to the ramp & door. Mobility Works is horrible where we are, and my husband & I would like to fix it without spending ridiculous money. Can a reader please advise where to locate the switch and/or parts that may be causing the problem. For us, the ramp wont come down at all, but after getting it down manually, it will go back up just fine by remote.
I'm just curious if you know a way to override alarms and dinging when operating door & ramp? I have a 2012 dodge gr. caravan that was converted by Braun 2 yrs ago. Mobility co. says they cannot override because of federal regulations. They drive me nuts!
Not that they can't can override it, they can, but won't due to liability. I believe the dings are commanded by the "gateway" module they install on the interior CAN-IHS bus. If that's the case, the setting in the module needs changing or its firmware modified. Another option is to make a custom CAN filtering device to filter out those ding commands. Either way, not an easy task.

Have you tried the only thing you will ever need to make dirty hinges and motors move ... WD40
What was the problem?

I have the same exact vehicle with the same problem! do you know which sensor?
